For me as an older male, the shoes felt wobbly side to side--not stable.

Love the style of this shoe - I have the same style in a different color (which is why I ordered these). My issue with this shoe was the opening around the ankle. It was SO tight. My other pair were nice and loose, but not so loose that my ankles didn't feel supported. This pair, however, were so tight that I found myself needing to take my shoes off at my desk and slipping them back on if I needed to leave my desk. They were that uncomfortable. It was a shame because I love this style and the support of the shoe but the tightness near the ankle was not something I could handle and they did not seem to be loosening up with time.

This is the first pair of Hokas I haven't loved at first strike. The new design feels like it's suffocating my feet, and the new heel collar design literally cut a bloody groove below the tip of my fibula in the first ten miles. It's almost like these were designed (and they are beautiful) but never road-tested.

I'm a huge university of Tennessee fan and I was thrilled to see a hookah in Tennessee Orange finally so I bought it. Upon opening the box I discovered that it was only half orange and the other half was pink. Not to my taste. I do love hocus though, and would love it if you made the same shoe with that Tennessee orange all over.

Very comfortable but almost impossible to get on. The opening for the foot is very small and is a struggle to get your foot through. I have to use a shoe spoon and it's still a struggle.

They don't lace up. It's faux laces. I don't like the way the shoe cuts into my ankles. I ordered my size they are too big. They are hyped up I spent the money definitely won't buy them again. Respectfully.

Felt great at first, but after walking around the left heel strike was harder than the right, maybe defective.

Held off for quite some time buying these, wasn't sure if they where worth it. Sadly they aren't. Very light is about the only positive I can take from these. Look cheaper in person, fairly comfortable but not the best by far. Not only look cheap but feel cheap on your feet. I'd take my Nike Metcon 8's over these all day, and they're only workout sneakers. Maybe I was expecting to much. So lesson learned, stick with what ya know.

Very stiff. It hurts my feet after just 2 miles of running. I tried it twice and now I developed plantar fasciitis on my left foot. I only put 4 miles on this shoes.

Kind of disappointed. I ordered these last month before thanks giving . Christmas is in three days . Still haven't received them .
Unsure if any good. I've always used New balance . This is my first pair of Hoka and since corporate is more concerned with impressions and ratings , customer service is lowered and perhaps delivery time. I heard they are worth your money . One day soon I hope to find out if this was a good purchase or not .

I bought this shoe since I loved my previous ProFly+ and I thought I was getting a good deal, but this version feels cheaper and not as comfortable as the last one. I have only had one run in it so far, so maybe it will get better over time, but from the look and feel of this version I would have preferred to have my old one back.

The style is OK, but it fit awkward and designed to the point where my toes were pushed to the front of the shoe

I use it to run. My one mile time seems to have improved by about 20 to 30 seconds. Idk if it is because they are new or because of the shoes themselves but i was impressed with the fit and comfort of the shoes

I worship Hoka.and have many many pairs, but I'm very disappointed in the fit of these shoes because of the permanent tongue that's sewn in..really annoying, ruins the shoe .have the worst time getting my feet in as they are too tight because of the stupid built in tongue

First, it's important to let you know that I am slowly coming back from an ugly ankle injury during the pandemic. It has taken me 2 years to recover. I have plantar fasciitis in both feet and I roll my ankles. The last time I ran long distance was in 2020 and right now I am focusing on staying in my "aerobic zone" when I run. This is my 4th Hoka pair. I've had Mach, Arahi, and now Carbon X. With that said...
Pro: It felt stable. I have a tendency to roll my ankles and I felt secure. It is a light shoe.
Cons: The shoes fell tight in my toes and loose in the back of my feet. Weird. I felt it lacked arch support.
I will stick to the Arahi and the Mach. If you have growing pains like me, Arahi and Mach are the best.

I purchased the Hoka Carbon X 3, but unfortunately, I wasn't pleased with the aesthetics of the shoes. The most significant issue for me was the lack of softness and comfort.

I am a huge Hoka fan and daily wearer. They literally saved my foot and athletic activities as I was suffering from condition called metatarsalgia.
However, when I ordered and tried on the Carbon X 3 I knew I had ordered the wrong shoe. I suppose that is the risk of online shopping. Specifically, I did not like the shoe not having a tongue and trying to enter the throat was awkard, tight and frustrating.
Hopefully, the return policy will go smoothly and I've already picked out an alternative.

I'm a HOKA loyalist and run 100 -200Kms /month. I always buy Hoka's wide shoes but wanted to try the carbon plate. While I love the responsiveness, my toes paid the price and I had to retire the shoe after a couple runs as they are just too narrow. I appreciate how Hoka understands that wide footed runners like different color ways other than black and grey. Now I hope they will understand that performance oriented runners can have wide feet too! Take a pass on this if you buy wide hokas.

The material, and height around the ankle cut and ripped my skin in multiple places. Bought two pairs and both did it. I wear regular running socks, and have to wear higher ones with these if I want to run in them.

Terrible location of the heel cup to upper location. Where the two sections meet there is a bulge in the seam. The carbon x one had a continuous sock, and was more supple. This design goes from a fairly ridged heel cup to the soft knit sock. Not comfortable and caused blisters on my lower ankle bone.
