I love my mittens. Just was wearing them for the second time when I went and pulled down heavy pine tree limbs that had broken off from the heavy snows. Afterwards, I saw that I had many spots of black pine tar on them. I was really upset, that my beautiful mittens were ruined. BUT, I put strong detergent and spot remover products on them and washed them twice and you can barely see any signs of the pine tar. I lined dry them and they are as good as new. The fur cuffs are just as perfect as when I got them. Congratulations LL Bean, for picking good fabrics for these mittens

Love these mittens, they are so warm and waterproof too! I have two pairs of these mittens, they match two different LL Bean coats!

These mittens are like little down jackets for my hands - love them! I have long arms and most of my coat sleeves are short, so these cover my wrist and keep me cozy. They seem well made, the inside fleece lining is wonderful, and I enjoy the fur ruff very much. As for sizing, I have large hands and the large is just a bit big on me (but in a good way!)

These are my best friends from First snow thru Thaw. They are great in the wind and are what I prefer for snowshoeing, hiking and dog walking. Altho not waterproof, they dry quickly when wet,even on dash of car!.Wash up very nicely too.

I bought these along with the Baxter State Parka and not only are they the warmest mittens I own but the colors also match perfectly. Here in Vermont the winters can get pretty cold. My hands have stayed toasty warm.

These are exteremely warm and toasty and are a wonder ful complement to the hat.

Super Warm Well constructed

I really love these mittens because they fit and are very warm. I usually have alot of difficulty finding mittens and gloves to fit my hands. Most larges are too short, but not these.

Ultrawarm mittens truly live up to their name. I finally can really enjoy my early morning, winter walks, without suffering from painfully cold fingers.

My hands are ALWAYS cold and I have spent my life (it seems) in search of warm mittens for my fitness walks. I have found them in these mittens! Even in below zero weather, my hands are toasty. Can't recommend these high enough!

Love these mittens. Bought myself a pair last year while visiting in Maine. They are soo very warm, I gave three pair as gifts this Christmas.

I have never owned a pair of gloves or mittens that have kept my hands warm while outside shoveling ..... that is until now! These mittens are the warmest pair I have ever had. I used them for the first time during a recent snow storm and my hands never got the least bit cold or uncomfortable! They are amazing! I would highly recommend them to people who's hands are always cold. The problem would be solved when wearing these. The only thing I would comment on that is a little negative is that they do run really large. I measured my hands according to the LL Bean recomendation and they still were bigger then the measurement indicated it to be. Just make sure to order a size smaller then you normally wear for gloves. Regardless of the sizing issue.... they still are the best mittens I have ever owned! P.S. They also go great with the matching down vest!

My sister and I bought these mittens to wear to the the inauguration in Washington D.C. The temperature was in the 20's and we were outside for at least 7 hours. I was amazed that my hands stayed warm and comfortable. I originally ordered the medium size but the mittens were too big so I exchanged for a small which fit fine. We both like the style and agree that the mittens are worth the price.

I love them. It has been a very cold winter here in Minnesota. Thay keep my hands toasty.

My hands are always cold so I was hesitant about buying these mittens. I was pleasantly surprised after 1 hour of cross country skiing in single digit temperatures my fingers were cozy and warm. As other reviewers mentioned they do run big, I normally wear XL in womens gloves and I ordered a medium and they are plenty big.

These mittens are great.I usually take a medium size but because of what I read on the reviews,I took a small instead.I could of even went with an extra small.They are very cozy.I also have the ultrwarm long jacket,both are just amazing.Great stuff LL Bean.

I live in Northwest NJ, in a mountainous area which gets very cold. I have a real problem keeping my hands and feet warm in the winter, because I had frostbite a number of years ago. These mittens are the warmest I have ever had. I did have to return the original ones I ordered, for a smaller size. So, I would suggest ordering a size down.

bought these to match my new coat. They're very nice but I think they run a little on the large side. I need to send them back for a smaller size.

Light weight and have the ability to warm up cold hands quickly and keep them warm. They also match my L.L. Bean Coat beautifully!

I received these mittens as a gift and what a gift! My hands are always cold despite living in a temperate region. They are the perfect weight and are very comfortable. I also like that they are a little longer so they cover my wrists. I would highly recommend these mittens to anyone.

I have the gloves, hat, boots and long coat all in matching brown. These truely are ultrawarm. I wore them in NYC and it was freezing. Kept me warm and dry! I plan to take them to the Arctic in March. I wore the ultrawarm boots with a midweight sock and it kept me toasty warm.

I love them. They match my new LL Bean down coat that I also adore. I am so warm and snug when walking our dogs or doing any other outdoor activity.
