This is the third pair of these mittens I've bought they are warm and comfortable

I am amazed at how warm these mittens are !! When I first got them out of the package, I thought they wouldn't be very warm, since they are light and quite thin. But I tried them when I went for a walk on a very cold morning, and I was happily surprised at how warm they were !! I had originally ordered the large size, but they were way too long, so I returned them for the medium, and those fit perfectly. My hands get very cold real easily, so I am always looking for ways to keep them warm. These mittens are perfect - I always use hand warmers with my mittens, and my hands are toasty with the combination of the hand warmers and these mittens.

With my hands in these awesome mittens my hands don't even realize its cold out! Even after 2 hours at the dog park my hands were still toasty warm!

I LOVE these gloves so much I had to buy a second pair to go with my new coat! The first pair were pink to match the down coat I bought last year. They are so warm in the coldest temps and keep your hands dry for snow removal. A must have for our New England Winters!!

This is my 2nd pair. Love how warm they are in very cold weather. I walk the dog early mornings and keeps my hands warm. Like that they are machine washable.

I ordered these as a Christmas gift for my daughter who lives in Chicago. There weren't many choices of mittens still available so I ended up purchasing these by default (that is, they were in stock and in her size). Great purchase! In her words "those mittens literally saved my hands this winter". 25 below zero temps? Taking the L to work and walking? Her hands stayed warm and dry. As a bonus, they're stylish too. The fur is a nice touch.

these mittens are the warmest I have purchased from LL Bean and I have several of their mittens. I love the long cuff with the fur trim which keeps the wind and cold out. I have reynauds and these kept my hands and fingers warm in severe cold, well below zero. buy them, you will love them

I have received numerous compliments on these gloves, and they are extremely warm. I have worn them daily on my commute across the Long Island sound by ferry and then on train to my office in CT, and I haven't been cold once. Ordered a size S and the fit was true to size.

Now that I have adopted a 5 year old Lhasa mix, keeping my hands warm in winter during our walks was very important. He likes to WALK! He loves the snow and it was obvious we were going to be out extended periods of time. During the coldest temperature snap we have had in years in Chicago I tried these mittens. What a godsend! They are not bulky and fit nicely into the handle of his retractable leash. They keep my hands toasty warm and since they are filled with down, the flexibility is terrific. They are not stiff like normal insulated mittens are and the quilting stitches in the body keeps the down in place. I would recommend these mittens to anyone who spends extended periods of time outside in the winter. We walk 4 times per day at approximately 30-45 minutes each time, My hands have never been warmer including my thumbs. Sometimes insulated mittens leave much to be desired in the thumb pocket. Not these!. Too bad Bean doesn't have flip down mittens. There's a thought. I'll bet you'd have a lot of takers, Bean. Flip mittens are very efficient. Especially in cold weather where you may need bare fingers for a few moments. Think about it. I would buy a pair for sure.

Bought these down mittens to match a down jacket also bought from L. L. Bean. It has been extremely cold here in Michigan and these mittens are warm as soon as you put them on. Very friendly and helpful customer service. Highly recommend.

Yes they really as warm as they say, in 0 degree weather with some wind. I was out shovelling so I don't know how much, but I do remember that this past week it was very cold. I bought the Black btw. Very unobtrusive and chic.

REALLY LIKE THESE MITTENS THEY ARE LIGHTWEIGHT AND ARE GENTLE ON YOUR HANDS. FOR ME, THEY PROVIDE A WONDERFUL AMOUNT OF WARMTH WHILE WALKING THE DOG ON VERY COLD WISCONSIN DAYS. THEY ALSO LOOK NICE ENOUGH TO WEAR WHEN ATTENDING CERTAIN EVENTS. THE FUR TRIM GIVES THEM A NICE, SPECIAL LOOK. ALL OF THE INNER FILLING STAYS IN PLACE REALLY WELL AS THE BOX STITCHING IS WELL PLACED. WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND THESE TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR A GOOD QUALITY PAIR OF WINTER MITTENS.

The mittens are warm. My hands are sensitive and I have a neuropathy on my hands. These mittens are comfortable I would recommend them to anyone.

My hands are always cold, but I'm frequently outside and need flexibility. These mittens are warm, comfortable, and not stiff--so holding a dog leash, raking, etc., are still easy to do.

I recently went to the Harbin International Ice Festival in northern China and took these mittens. Not only did they keep my hands warm, I was able to operate my camera while wearing them. They are soft and flexible and allowed me to turn the camera on/off, zoom, change settings, etc. It was only -4 degrees so it made a huge difference that I could stay warm in a city literally built of ice. Easy to care for, too, they look like brand new after washing them. I love these mittens!

I ordered these mittens to go with my Ultrawarm Coat. The dark raspberry is a perfect match to the coat. But the most important part is that they do their job! My hands are kept so warm with them. I will wear them with my other LL Bean coats. too. They are made so that they fit above the sleeve on my Ultrawarm Coat and I really like the elastic at the wrist. Another winner LL Bean.
