I originally bought this bed for my 14 year old Chihuahua who has intermittent back issues. Well, much to my surprise, ALL three of our dogs vie to for the bed. I am glad that I bought a medium sized bed as it easily accommodates all three Chihuahuas. It is an all-around favorite. Well made. Durable. Assembling is not the easiest, but it is certainly doable. Well worth the money.

We purchased a large bed for our Golden Retriever, Jake. The fabric is heavy weighttop notch quality. The instructions were well written and easy to follow. I was worried that the assembly would be difficult based upon a few of the reviews I had read. But the bolsters went in quickly and easily and the entire bed was assembled and ready to go in less than 5 minutes. Just follow the instructions and you will have no problem! Very well made; typical LL Bean high quality; made to last. I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase. Thank you LL Bean. You folks are the best. And Jake loves his new bed!

We purchased the large bed for our Golden Retriever. The construction and fabric are top notchthe highest quality. Heavy weight fabric that should last for years. The instructions were easy to read and follow. I was worried the assembly would be difficult after I read a few of the reviews. But I inserted the bolsters in just a few minutes and had the entire bed ready to go in less than 5 minutes. Nothing could have been easier. Just follow the instructions! Beautiful construction; LL Bean quality; supper comfort for my dog Jake. Worth every penny.

This bed is BIG! Our 80 pound setter gets lost in it! Based on his snoring...it must be comfy!

Got this for an older border collie. The 10-month-old border collie keeps taking it over. Had to order another (pup had outgrown his little nest, was my justification). Very well made.

LL Bean is my preferred dog bed- esp the therapeutic for senior dogs. My recent rescue dog (senior) Charlie loves his new bed. I bought a size larger for him to stretch out . This is my 2nd LL bean therapeautic dog bed . The older one held up v well but a bit small for Charlie. Pricier then most but worth it for quality / durability /comfort. Highly recommend . Love LL Bean!

Purchased the medium for my senior 60 lb Basset Hound Chow mix. He is a large dog with little legs. I considered getting the large, but the medium is plenty big. He has been kinda picky about his beds in the past. With this one, he took his afternoon nap in it on the first day we got it, and has liked it ever since. It is supportive yet soft and a very nice looking bed at that. He is spoiled and is allowed on our couches and beds, but often will choose to sleep in his LL bean bed. This was a splurge, but I'm glad to say, it was worth it.

Great bed made of good materials. Our labradoodle loves to curl up in it.

This small size dog bed is for our 20 lb. chihuahua & min. pinscher mix (who digs up/arranges his beds for more cushioning). We got him the therapeutic memory foam. He likes the head rest and it is also big enough to "sprawl." The material could be a little softer, but at night we just put a knit blanket on top for extra comfort. Thank you L.L. Bean for the natural cotton cover.

Easy to put in cover if you read the instructions!

Best dog bed ever! My dogs love their beds. The fabric is tough and stands up to scratchy nails and wrestling. The cover can be removed and thrown in the wash. The large and extra large fit two pitbulls comfortably and even leaves a little room. They are perfect!!

Sturdy. Attractive. Putting cover on after washing is time consuming. Our second one. Large size fits 68 pound dog with room to spare.

We are so happy with this dog bed. Our dog loves it. It's very well made and will last a very long time. Our Lab has plenty of room with the large dog bed. You won't be disappointed.

Our dog finally found a bed she loves and can't destroy.

We've been looking into this bed for YEARS - and now that our oldest is getting older (11+), why wait. Our other Bean beds are 12+ years old and still favorites of the dogs, but this new one is the night time sleep spot for our old lady Shepherd. We're thrilled. Including a picture of the young dog sneaking in time on the couch bed.

In a moment of weakness (@4 am) I let my adorable small 5 months old puppy sleep in my bed - 2.5 years later this purchase has him finally sleeping somewhere else again. For anyone debating what size to get my drool beast is 110 pounds and fits comfortably into the large curled up and is happy with his head hanging off just a little when stretched out.

My dog loves it! We used to have it in a small and after many years of use, it needed to be replaced. This time we got a medium. She is an English Cocker Spaniel and the small was snug for her. With the medium she can really stretch out. The old one had a fleece cover and I think she misses that. I put down a fleece blanket for her and she now loves to spend her day in it napping.

This is an excellent dog bed. Very good quality and durable materials. It is larger than I expected which is just fine. I put it together easily and I think it will be easy to take apart for washing.Theo loves his new bed!!! Thank you LLBean for such a good quality product.!!

I saw all the comments about difficulty of assembly, and just wanted to share my experience. This bed is durable, comfortable and of great quality. We've washed it several times and assembly really isn't a big deal if you follow the instructions.

I inherited a Bean bed from my brother. It's still in excellent condition after ten years of two German Shepherds. Even though restuffing them after washing the covers is somewhat difficult. When I got a second dog, in my opinion, there were no other options.

I have a senior dog @ 60 pounds and he loves his bed. He can stretch out or curl up in a corner. I was worried he would miss his old stinky bed but he loved the new "dog couch" right away.

We purchased the small because it was rated for dogs up to 25 lbs. I'm not sure this spec was totally tested out. Our Coton de Tulear is only 12.5 lbs and he could barely fit. The quality was great though. So we returned the small and ordered this medium one and although it seems a little large for our dog he absolutely loves it. The quality is very very good and he seems to sleep much more sound due to the thick comfortable mattress. Definitely worth every penny.

We no longer find our dog on the couch in the morning! He loves his new couch/bed.

My 3 year-old lab had knee surgery and she has a 16 week rehab schedule. I wanted to make sure she had something comfortable and supportive when she came home after surgery. She is also a shedder, so I wanted something easy to vacuum and wash when necessary. This bed is super supportive, very easy to vacuum, and she loves sleeping on it. It's very well made and exactly what she and I needed.
