Unfortunately, I was not able to take them for a run because they are very narrow in a 12.5 Men. They look cool but looking cool does not equal comfort.

Look, I run.For my job, its literally a requirement to run. Now, Im no marathon runner. I run, on average, 1.5-3.5 miles three times per week. So, take my opinion as you will. That said, these shoes areaverage. Ive ran in UnderArmor, Nike, ASICS, New Balance, and plenty of Brooks shoes. These Hyperion Maxs are the same as any other. Its not the shoe that makes you fasterits the practice of speed running that gets you there.
If you think these shoes are going to improve your runtime without hard work shoes arent it. The colors are cool though. So, theres that. That said, if you are solely looking for a running shoe, there are cheaper options out there. If you are looking for a trainerget a different shoe.

Really happy with these shoes. Light weight but still enough cushion even on longer runs.

I owned and loved many pairs of Hyperion Tempo. So, I'm enjoying the Hyperion Max, too. The ride is similar, with a little extra stack. The laces are better than the terrible stretchy laces in the Tempo, but the tongue is much worse. It's flimsy and slides out of place -- very annoying. Other than that, I highly recommend the Hyperion Max for anyone who wants a lightweight, slightly firm, non-plated shoe.

I love this shoe.
Its a little softer than the Ghost with significant reduction in weight.
For years I ran the Kinvara.
This is so much nicer in comfort and weight.
The Kinvara is stiffer and the sole plate harder. The Hyperion is much more flexible. We all have our preferences and this shoe and the Ghost are my favorites

Love these shoes! Bought them for my first marathon and they were great. Extremely light and responsive. They curve nicely to propel you forward. I usually wear a size 13 but for Brooke a size 12.5 fits perfect. Highly recommend

This is a really good shoe and I am so glad that I added it to my rotation. It's very light weight and yet has very good support from front to back. I also has a very nice rock to it to get you on your toes quickly to push off. Absolutely my favorite Brooks shoe ever!

Great shoe for daily runs and faster runs, really makes you fill that you can keep going forever. Perfect fit, nice cushion (without being extreme) and very light weight. My new favorite (which used to be the Glycerin 20).

I really wanted to love this shoe! The runs in it were enjoyable, however, the sole has started to separate from the shoe after only 15 miles!
I believe I had bought a defective pair and the store I purchased from won't offer an exchange or a refund.
Great shoe, but would question the durability.

I discovered the Hyperion Tempo two years ago and ran my two fastest marathon times in them. I was going to buy another pair for NYC and decided to give the Hyperion Max a try. I only have a few runs in them so far but I love the feel of these shoes. They fit my foot well and I feel these are better cushioned than the Tempo. The Max feels fast and are feather light. Looking forward to running many miles in these shoes and hope they prove to be as durable as the Tempo which I got about 350 miles in.

I upgraded from the Hyperion Tempo for the added cushion. Very pleased with the fit and extra cushion. These have helped reduce the strain on the longer runs.

Best shoe I've run in. I'm newer to running and working on adopting more of a mid foot strike pattern. The rocker-ish bottom of this shoe feels very natural, and the cushioning feels great as a taller/heavier runner. Super lightweight. Has worked great for slower, steadier miles as well as for picking up the pace. Excited to get more miles in!

Very pleased with these. Im a recreationally competitive runner and do maybe 50-70 miles weekly. The shoe is lightweight and fits me well. Level of cushion is just right (not plush but noticeably more than the Hyperion). Slight rocker design does feel pretty good. Mostly Im forefoot striking. Notice the rocker motion during downhill segments. I recommend the shoe for anyone doing serious marathon level training. I use the Hyperion for shorter runs but I think the Max would be okay there also.

Love the shoes. Personally I need a GTS version so I had to get support insoles. A gussetted tongue would be nice too.

I've ran about 100 miles with these shoes and so far they have been great. They are very light like a racer but have plenty of cushion to feel comfortable on the long runs. The shoes design is great for the run and makes for great heal to toe transitions. At the end of the workout I'm left feeling good and able to recover more efficiently. Definitely my new favorites.

Im currently training for my first marathon. Most of my training has been in three different pair of ghost. I bought these hoping that they could be my racing day shoe but unfortunately they are too tight across the top of my foot. The shoe does look great and the sole of the shoe is very springy and comfortable. I plan to keep these shoes for shorter speed runs, but I will just have to wear thinner socks. -Aren (Brooks sports medicine ambassador)
