I am a huge Brooks fan, but I cannot recommend the Glycerin 20. These shoes were so uncomfortable just walking around the house that I didn't even try running in them. They feel like moon boots! There is so much cushion that I couldn't feel the floor and was afraid to walk down the stairs. The shoes are completely unresponsive. I really like the current versions of Adrenaline (23) and Ghost (15). If you need a narrow shoe like I do, try one of those instead, unless you love the feeling that a shoe doesn't bend with your foot.

I ordered these because I smashed 2 of my toes and I need room for bandages. I have an older pair of Glycerins and they are the only shoe I can wear. But, when they came, they were heavy as lead, I could hardly move my feet. The soles are also way taller than the old ones. There's no way I can wear them.
I'd also recommend:
I only wear Brooks.

Today I went and tried on a pair of the glycerin 20's and was very disappointed. I have the glycerin 19s and love them. The 20's are rock hard whereas the 19s are cushy soft. It's unfortunate, so it's on to find another brand of shoe.

I bought a pair from a running store in the area. I did not like the color at all, but it's all they had. I went with it because I loved the fit of the shoe so much. Deciding I wanted a second pair, I came to the website to order directly. I was amazed at the variety of colors available! I ordered the color I wanted and was so excited the day I received them. But when I opened the box, they were the wrong color and in fact, they were the exact color of the pair I already had. You know, the color I didn't like. So now I have 2 pair of the exact same color. We were in the middle of an out-of-state move and we're actually hitting the road the next day. It wasn't really possible to deal with a return etc. So, I would say: Be careful using the website. I'm left feeling as though only one color actually exists and the rest is just bait. I do like the shoes a lot, though.

I was very disappointed. After wearing Glycerin shoes for many years these just are not as comfortable and I dislike the plastic looking sole

They've ruined this show. The science in the soft fluffy some only worked with rubber. When they switched to foam plastic it 100% ruined it. Also instead of a shower type box they made it now a fitted shoe. Comparing it to my Glycerin 9, 10, and 12, the new one is entirely divergent. Super filled and out no longer feels like your running in cos more like concrete.
They need to return to rubber through a sustainable program because this show is terrible for those who previously wore it.
I switched to Ghost 15, not max, in side even though I'm normal width and this is a close add you come to the old soft open spots the Glycerin once was.

The Glycerin 20 was a huge disappointment. I have narrow feet and ordered a narrow shoe in the same size as my last pair of Glycerins (which were the Glycerin 14). The toe box was huge--much too wide. The shoe felt too hard and lacked the cushioning of my earlier Glycerins. They felt really big and clunky overall. I wish Brooks would roll back the changes they have made to these shoes and make them closer to some of the older models, which were fantastic. For now, I am moving on to try other brands.

I have been purchasing Glycerin for years. I love them. I thought I would go out on a limb and get these funky ones. How could this happen after one week?

Beware - color 656 pink/yellow/white is NOT as pictured. For an accurate color, look at Glycerin GTS shoe with same color code. I was very disappointed when I ordered the shoe and received a completely different color. Also, the Glycerin 20s fit 1/2 size larger than all the other Glycerins I've worn in the past.

I purchased these shoes last month and they were the worst brooks I have ever worn. I stand on concrete 10 hours a day and my back and feet about kill me when I were these. I spent the money cause everyone said these were the best well they weren't for me.

Much preferred earlier glycerin versions with less thick soles.

Beautiful show. However, I've run in them twice and both times the pad of my foot has had "needles". I hate that and would like to return or possibly exchange for another shoe.

I have worn them for years. I like them but the sizing has completely changed. It would also be nice for more plain colors like great instead of only crazy ones that you can't wear to work.

These have too much cushion, too springy. I will be returing these

Frankly these didn't give enough support for me being on my feet all day. The bottoms are foamy not rubber which is what they need to be. My hip hurts after an hour of wearing them and my back still kills me after 3, I don't recommend these shoes at all.

I was excited for these sneakers but they actually don't have as much heel support as I expected. My heels were HURTING in them after a few minutes. I will be going back to my tried and true Ghosts.

I only wear brooks. I've had 100 percent satisfaction with them until this new pair. They were more expensive than my usual choice but they didn't have my size. I can't wear them. I have had arch pain, heel pain from them. That's a first with brooks . Won't buy these again.

HATE this company that refuses to leave me alone! I wore Brooks for years. Recently ordered a pair, which were uncomfortable. Difficult and time consuming to return them with Brooks policies. Then the emails began. Opting out, unsubscribing have No effect. Unless you want to be annoyed forever, buy different shoes. All this company cares about now is MARKETING.

Much too soft and cushiony. Wish the Transcend had not been changed. It had the perfect balance of cushion and firmness.

I returned the Ghost 15 shoe, because the toe box is too small. Since I have flat feet, I need a roomier toe box like the 14.
I believe I ordered the Ghost 14 in the last year or so which is the most comfortable running shoe I've ever owned.

I am disappointed with the comfort (cushioning) of my recent purchase of GTS Glycerine 20. It felt as though they forgot to infuse the cushioning of my shoes with their special process that makes the soles super soft as advertised.

The shoe company are changing the way they design products. Someone who wears orthotics cannot simply swap out the insoles anymore because the design on the sole of the shoe has degraded. More emphasis is being put into the removable insoles and cheapening the outsole. Saucony has done this on the Ride 15 and 16 now it appears Brooks has too. It is a real bummer. And Thank you to Zappos for putting up with the returns!

I've been running in Glycerin for over a decade. This shoe lacks mid foot support and gave me significant plantar fascia issues after one run.
If you are someone who typically runs in Hoka or OC, this feel is very similar.
If you are someone who has been loyal to Brook's, it may be time to look for a different shoe.

Accidentally left a review on the wrong shoe. These ones are terrible, they leave me with lasting pain in my Achilles tendon and the bottoms of my feet hurt while wearing

Love the comfort of glycerin 20, but unhappy with wear. In 5 weeks right toe wore a hole in upper. Have had at least 10 pair of Brooks & have never worn thru the upper. Way too much money to wear out so quickly.
