I've owned the last 5 versions of the Glycerin and this by far is the stiffest one so far it's uncomfortable and there is no cushioning.

I loved my last pair of Glycerins (older model) and ran several long races without issue. I wore these a few short races/runs to break them in and felt fine. Today during a half marathon, I could barely walk, let alone run around mile 9/10. The ball of my foot felt like I was wearing high heels! No cushion and so painful. I ripped them off when I crossed the finish line and can never race in them again. Boooo!!!

I'm a distance runner (mostly half marathons) and I've run in the Glycerin shoe for years. Mostly I've appreciated the new iterations, however, the HUGE change in fit from the 19 to the 20 is insane. I read all the reviews and ordered a half size smaller (8.5 instead of 9). Nice that the toe box is roomy and the cushion felt great from the first step, but the heel was huge on me (and I'm a medium width) and the sides gaped open with even stride. SO disappointed in this shoe. I tried them for 30 days and sent them back. Guess I'll have to start over with looking for my perfect running shoe. Very disappointed, Brooks.

I have been wearing Brooks Glycerin for several years for exercise walking. I had been very pleased with the versions 18 and 19, but version 20 seems to have been redesigned, not for the better. It feels stiffer in the soles and less cushioned. The front part of the shoe (medium width) is wide and bulbous, so my foot slips around. If I tighten the laces, the fabric on the front part of the shoe bunches up. I'm quite unsatisfied with this shoe.

This is my fourth pair of Glycerins in 9.5 narrow. I’ve always loved the fit of this shoe, but this version is totally different. The toe box is incredibly wide compared to past versions. If I tie them tight enough to fit, they pucker like crazy at the toe box and even then, still feel wide and insecure. I thought maybe I’d get used to them, but every time I put them on I feel regret, especially considering the price and the fact that there is only ever one color choice in narrow (so I never feel very excited about the look). I wish I had returned them before wearing, but I really didn’t want to have to go back on the hunt for a good narrow running shoe. Sadly, I’ll have to go looking anyways. Do not recommend for narrow feet.

This is my fourth pair of Glycerin shoes - I’ve always ordered size 9.5 narrow with great results. Unfortunately, this pair fits totally different. The toe box is incredibly wide compared to the shoes I’ve owned in the past. The toe box puckers like crazy if I tie them tight enough, and even then, they just feel loose and insecure. So disappointing, as I’ve been loyal to this shoe for years and it’s hard to find the right athletic shoes for narrow feet. I tried wearing them anyways, and have regret every time I put them on. Sadly, it’s back to the drawing board for a good running shoe.

Even though I exchanged for half size smaller than usual, they are still a bit large. Another half size smaller will be too short. Sorry that Brooks messed with the size. I will have to make adjustments somehow because of I need the cushioning of the Brooks Glycerin. Maybe wear two pairs of socks. Liked the fit of Glycerin 19 much better.

This is the 6th pair (different styles and sizes) that I'm returning (to Amazon and Zappos). I've worn Brooks for years but apparently they have changed, not for the better. I order a Wide because I need more room in the ball of the foot, but there is not enough room in the new ones. My old ones are GREAT, so I'll be buying new insoles from New Balance instead of buying new shoes.

Sizing is super inconsistent with other Brooks styles I have bought in the past! Definitely should have sized down. Sad because I was so excited to get these, but I feel like I am stepping out of them/they will go flying off my feet.

I was expecting the sole to be like the Holidays/Snow series. It did not feel the same. Disappointing for the price.

Box said exactly what I ordered, Brooks Glycerin 20, Size Women's 10B but what was inside was totally different! I received a pair of Brooks Ghost 15. I will exchange for a pair of Glycerin 20. Hope I get what I order.

I was super excited about the purchase of my running shoes. But unfortunately, I had to return them. The support I am looking for this shoe model could not provide me.

If I could give it zero stars, I would. I don't know why you would change anything about the fit from the 19s. The 20s do not have near as much cushion as the 19s, awful fit and hurt my feet terribly. I had bought 4 pairs thinking they'd be just as comfy as the 19s. . Literally gave all 4 brand new pairs to a homeless person.

I bought a pair of the Glycerin 20 at the local store and couldn't be more disappointed! They feel comfortable for walking, but if you are planning on running be prepared to deal with the pain! After the first two runs my ankles and feet started to hurt, and it only gets worse. My last run ended with me limping back to the car in tears. I have a race in a week and I'll be skipping it, thanks to the Glycerin 20. Do yourself a favor and don't buy these shoes.

I waited eight days past the delivery date and was told on the phone that they were issuing me a refund (shoe no longer available). No discussion other than to say the package never made it out of KC. Very weird!

I have been wearing ladies glycerin shoes for years. I often times will purchase two pairs when they go on sale. Unfortunately, the sizing is very inconsistent so be very careful and always try them on. The toe box is much wider than it use to be. They simply do not fit like they used to. I will no longer purchase them.

I have had 2 pair of the Glycerin 20. The shoe's "basket weave" design does not hold up. Unfortunately a hole appeared in the top of the shoe with just 6 months of daily use.

Glycerins have been my go-to since the 13 version. This "nitrogen injected" sole is way more stiff than the soft, squishy midsole of the 16 (and maybe before, this is just how far back I still had a pair to compare to)-19 versions. The Glycerin 20 hurts my knees. These are now my dog walking shoes because I can't wear them for long runs. Hoping 21 version is better.

I didn't even get a chance to fully get a feel for these, because the second I put them on it felt like my big toes were going to burst through the top of the shoes. The upper material is so stiff and didn't leave much room in the top of the toe box. I was also disappointed because they did not feel near as soft as I would have expected in terms of cushioning, and the shoelaces we're a letdown because I really liked the stretchy ones that were on an older pair of ghosts that I have. These are just cheap run of the mill shoelaces that aren't even long enough to keep tied. I returned them after only having taken a few steps.

I was so disappointed with the new Brooks Glycerine 20. I’ve worn this shoe for years and loved it. Now the design and it is a different show with the same name and somewhat same look. This was my go to running show but no more.
