The heel is so high that my foot kept sliding forward in the shoes and my toes began to hurt.

I've really enjoyed my Brooks over the years, and in the last couple years switched from Ghosts to Glycerin because it has more cushioned support. This most recent pair of Glycerin's were great for the first couple months but then the soul cushion has seemed to break down which has caused the edge of shoe edge to dig in my ankle bone and causing me a lot of discomfort. I'm really bummed out about this issue since I need these for a trip with lots of walking. :-(

Bought these because my Hoka Bondi 8's gave me a bad case of plantar fasciitis. But while these Glycerins APPEARED very comfortable, they are making my feet hurt just as bad! The pain in my heals after walking 4 to 5 miles daily is sometimes excruciating. As a RN, this is my first pair of Brooks, which came at the recommendation of my peers and I wanted to love them! I just knew that they would be everything that I wanted and more. But to my surprise when I started walking in them daily on May 15, 2024, my feet hurt daily for one week! I thought that it was an adjustment to new shoes and going from an Hoka to a Brooks, so I exercised extreme patience. But after 30 miles of walking, this shoe STILL hurts my heel very bad! I wanted to give them a fair chance, but I think that a week is fair enough. Today, I ordered a pair of ASICS to replace this pair of Brooks which seems be a total loss!

A 2 for me! I love the new Nitro infused softness but while the width is great my toes are squeezed! Same with the Ghost and I have been wearing on or the other of these shoes for over 10 years! So sad I can't had to move on. PS the wides were too wide but the toes worked!! I returned both the wide and regular.

Poor cushioning. After only a few hours of walking on this shoe, the bottom of my feet hurt. Toe box is smaller than on the Adrenaline shoes.

I deliberatly chose the Glycerin that does not have the GTS guiderails as all those do is create hard lines on the bottom of my foot and keep my orthotics from sitting flat.
Cons: Still had hard edges, my orthotic did not sit flat.
The heel is narrow but the toe box is extremely wide.
With just thin fabric they kept stretching and getting bigger and bigger. I even went down half a size.
No stability at all. My feel were all over the place in this shoe.
Pros: A lot of cushion.
Brooks has a policy that allows me to try different shoes and return them within 90 days if they don't work out.
I wore the Addiction for over 20 years, but Brooks shoes are just made so differently now I don't think I can find one that will work. Normally, I can tell right away and return the shoe within a few days if it doesn't work out. But, this shoe seemed to have potential and I really wanted them to work so I tried multiple pairs of orthotics in them for several weeks.

This shoe felt like it had too much cushioning, to the point where it interfered with a proper running form. I tried them on a few runs and felt twinges of pain in my ankles thereafter. Ended up returning and going back with the Ghost model which I think strikes a better balance with cushioning and stability.

for the past 3years I have normally run in Brooks Ariel 2.0 sneakers, I love them. But I was eager to try another model of Brooks running shoes.
Glycerin was not the sneaker for me. I disliked them from the moment I put them on my feet. I did run in them and even put insoles in them, to no avail. My feet moved around too much in them and they seemed too "flat." Definitely not enough cushion or support. I returned them and went happily back to my Ariels.

I returned mine, and I appreciate that I can do that after trying them out. I've been a Glycerin fan for years but for me the changes made to the 20s didn't work. They felt very stiff, almost hard and much heavier than previous versions. There was a lot of cushion which I love and it is a good neutral shoe. I always look forward to the first run in a new pair of shoes and these were just disappointing. The search continues.

Really disappointing. I've been a dedicated Brooks Glycerin wearer for years, but the Glycerin 20 missed the mark. The sole doesn't flex much when I move so it feels like I'm wearing foam blocks on my feet - not in a good way. Simultaneously it feels like they're setting me back on my heels, which was uncomfortable and not a natural gait for me. Lastly (bizarrely), the left shoe pulled down my sock with each step. They were not the well-fitting, well-designed Glycerins I have gotten used to and was was expecting.

These are ok. They feel good at first but I don't feel like they have enough support impact wise. Also after just a few runs my feet are hurting in these. And I'm no rookie in the running world. I ran 4 miles in them last night and felt like they just didn't support me correctly.

This is my 4th pair of Brooks, I bought the Glycerin style. I can not work a 12 hour shift in these. After just a few hours, my feet hurt so bad that I can barely walk. Not enough vision nor enough support. I normally buy ghost

The Ghost has gotten much narrower through the toe box since the 13s, so I decided to try the Glycerins after having a foot scan for fit done. The width in the toe is fantastic and the cushion is great. However, the midfoot is extremely narrow. It feels like there is a big bump under my foot along the outer edge of the shoe, and it is painful to walk on. I even took them back and traded them in for a second pair because I thought it might have been a defect. The laces are also too short. Based on measurements I do not take a wide.

I have been buying the Glycerin for many years. The Glycerin 20 is not the same in comfort for running and I want to take them off as soon as I am done. They are bulky and slip around on my feet. Is there something similar that is better?

I am the biggest Brooks fan but these shoes were huge letdown and I regret purchasing them. I'll stick to the Ghosts for a neutral cushion moving forward.

Initially these felt very supportive and I loved how the fabric didn't make my feet feel trapped... but these were comfortable for about a run and a half before the back of the left shoe started rubbing against my heel and it was SO painful I was limping all the way back. On my other Brooks the backings are not as high as these and I haven't had problems with those.

Worst shoelaces ever. They open up every time I walk. These are not comfortable in the toe as others.

First the good...I LOVE THIS SHOE. I use an orthotic and it is so hard to find a shoe that works, wide enough in toe box, cute, supportive, etc. So for that, 5 stars. I've been wearing Brooks for years. I was disappointed to find that the fabric on the toe box is fraying and wearing off. For nearly $200, I would think that they'd have the durable fabric part down. At first it was just the one shoe, so I thought maybe it was a fluke. Now the other shoe (in less than 6 months time). What a bummer to think that this otherwise is a great shoe. Don't skimp on material for $200 shoes. They should last longer with regular wear.

Since they changed the sole, the shoe doesn't not provide enough cushioning like the Glycerin 19 did. The new Nitrogen sole seems like a gimmick & doesn't provide enough shock absorption. Please go back to the old traditional sole!! I've been wearing Glycerin for several years b/c they were recommended by my doctor. I use my Brooks for walking & daily use , but spending more then 1 hour in these my feet will hurt compared to my 19's which I can wear all day without pain.

I wanted to love these. The cushioning was ok but with my orthotics in, my hips hurt and these don't have the support of the Ghosts. I will have to donate them.
