The Men’s Brooks Glycerin 20 is extremely comfortable when walking or doing light jogging. You will immediately feel the shoe respond to your movements as soon as you put them on. It energizes your steps and makes you want to take the stairs. I must say it can compete with similar rivals of New Balance and Hoka models. The only thing I didn’t like about the shoe is the lack of support that I felt when running at higher speed in the forefoot (metatarsals area). I will try a different shoe brand for running at higher speeds.

Shoes fit as I expected. I previously wore Ghost 14 and I was hoping for a little more cushioning in the sole area. Not exactly what I was looking for but I'll give them a try.

My first pair of glycerin 20s were great! This pair does not feel like it has that same cushion. I feel meh about them, don't know if I would get another pair.

The sole itself is amazing. But the shoe runs really small. I had to go with 1 full size larger then I normally wear. So the heal is too big and the toe area still rubs weird

The foam sole broke down very fast and deformed causing the shoe to lean and I had to stop wearing them after only a few months. I liked the shoes so well up until that point that I can’t say I wouldn’t recommend them. Just buyer beware especially if you’ve got a few extra lbs.

Tried it for the first time after wearing ghosts for years. Cushioning is excellent. The overall feel is great. I had to return Ghost still fits my foot better.

These shoes were fast but lacked the cushioning in a way that was quite different than the Ghosts that suit me better. For example, with the Glycerins, I often had lower back pain and sore knees after runs exceeding 5 miles. I do not have this issue AT ALL with the Ghosts.
Overall, the Glycerins are a great shoe, but not for runners like me.

I'm a Brooks Ghost absolute fan but I thought I'd venture over to the Glycerin (to be honest bc I like one of the color combos). I wanted to love them - the spring in these shoes is phenomenal. I felt like Tigger and wanted to just bounce around my house. However, no matter how I fixed the laces or how much I bounced, these shoes run narrow and short. Every single pair for years of the Ghost have been an 8W (or D). I ordered the same in the Glycerin and I had to loosen the laces the width of the tongue and with every step and spring, my big toe was pressing against the front of the toebox. So bummed.

I found the fit, for me at least, was not as good as the glycerin 19. The toe box seems longer. Otherwise the glycerin is a high quality cushion shoe. And I do like the color combinations.

I have multiple pairs of the Glycerin 18 and 19 and absolutely love them. The toe box on the 20 seems wider than the previous versions and I don't find the newer version to be as cushiony. It is a little more firm. Basically, it just doesn't feel as good as the prior versions and I bought two pairs because they were on sale.

I really wanted to like this shoe. It is very comfortable out of the box and I like the style and colors. However, the balls of my feet started to experience discomfort after just a short time of walking around with them in the house. I was expecting more cushioning in that area based on the metrics. It could also be that the drop is just too much for my foot (used to wearing 8mm) and I was experiencing more heel stike. I wished they had worked out. For reference, I usually wear an 11.5, but I ordered a half size larger as most reviews/websites said to do in Brooks. Also, I am 5'10 & 190 lbs.

Disappointed with Brooks, they used to have good cushion and support until 2020 models but seems their new design is very bad , will move away from brooks and find some other brand

I had a lot of trouble adjusting the laces so that these were confortable. Unltimately I had to replace the laces with elastic ones otherwise the discomfort was too much.

Very light weight. Sized to fit perfectly. I thought there would be more cushion in the heel area but it felt pretty standard. Once I added a sports insole they were perfect. I have plantar fasciitis and require a bit more cushion to run. Without the insole these wouldn't have done it.

I have two pairs & they both have the same problem. The laces keep coming untied. I've seen the same complaint from others who have reviewed the shoes.

Meh. The Glycerin 20 is a new shoe. Nothing like the 19 which was only a little different from the 18 which was only a little different .... (you get the idea). Perhaps Brooks is trying to copy Hoka with the fat soles? I'm not wild about the looks, but to be fair I didn't notice being taller than usual(and they say the 21 is 2mm taller!). I'll reiterate: THIS IS NOT THE SAME Glycerin. Note, the fit may be more true to size than previous models. I like "roomy" and had moved all the way up to 11.5 with the previous Glycerins from 10.5 for most other shoes, but 11 is more likely right with this model. The heel cushioning is great but the forefoot seems stiffer, a bit of a shock when it struck (wanted some sorbethane). To be fair, it was quite cold, and note that these are *not* cold weather shoes. Glycerins have zero resistance to water (get soaked walking though short wet grass) and breath far too well to keep feet warm. Last, a general comment on previous models which is that Brooks soles wear out FAST. I run several times a week and rotate shoes(so not more than twice a week per pair), but the bottom colored layer starts to peel off long before it should and both the heel edges and center of the forefoot wear down quickly. Gone are the days of long-wearing carbon soles.

Arch support felt lacking and material was very thin and stretchy on toe box, seem to not hug in the heal area. For such thick soles it is not super comfortable.

I had Glycerin 19s of the same size so was hopeful for these, but the fit just isn't right. My toes are sloshing around in the front even though the rest of it feels like the right size.

Shoe felt nice, but the cushion is more stiff than I’d like.

I have been wearing the Glycerin for many years but they really changed the fit with the 20. Even after sizing down a half size the volume of the shoe just makes them too big for me. They are still comfortable but I will have to start to look elsewhere after these. Too bad as I was a huge fan until this model.

The shoe is great BUT I ordered a wide and it's Definitely NOT a wide. My last years model is way wider. Hopefully my toes don't pop through the sides.
