This is my third consecutive pair of Glycerin 20 shoes. I have to say this latest pair does not fit nearly as well as my first two. Had blisters develop on both of my big toes so I switched back to the second and they feel just fine. Not really sure what to make of it.

Not good for pronation. I do like walking in them for work, just not running

The upper of the shoe was a problem for me. The toe box is too shallow, and the big toe on each foot rested against the top. It was very annoying always feeling that. I loved the cushion of the shoe and wish it had worked out better.

Love the overall fit & comfort! It's what I expected. I actually like them more than my new Adrenaline 23's. I only gave 3 stars because after a month of normal wear the sole is starting to pull away from the shoe. Pretty disappointed about that considering the cost. Great shoe otherwise.

I've been wearing the Glycerin for years now. This is the cheapest version so far. They took all the padding out of the tongue causing pain at the top of my foot. The shoe strings are pretty cheap too "PLEASE..PLEASE" go back to making a "quality" shoe and if you need.. raise the price.

Brooks, you took a perfect shoe, version 19, and degraded it with a horrendous upper. Shame, shame, shame you need to fix it.

The shoes themselves are fine. I really do not like the laces on them. They do not stay tied. I think there are more synthetic material in them. My Glycerin 19 do not come untied and the laces feel like a more natural product.

I was gifted a Glycerin 20 from my daughter. They fit perfect, but then I bought a Ghost 14 and they hurt my feet. There is a big difference now that I spent a half a day wearing them. What should I do? Are there insoles that would change them? Help! Pat

Just okay so far. Not quite the fit I need for my arch.

They feel tight on my instep. I wonder if I should have gotten a wider shoe. My feet hurt after a long run.

The ride is a little harder/ non-responsive than I was expecting - also, even though I ordered a wide, a portion or the midsole started biting into the ball of my foot after running long distances causing pretty intense discomfort. :( If you have a wider forefoot, you may want to go up a half-size (in addition to going wide). (Thankfully, Zappos offers the easiest return process and the most outstanding customer support one could ask for!) But! if you get the right fit/ have D width feet, this is a great everyday workhorse that, unlike other similarly priced premium daily-trainers, can take on messy/ wet terrain and will be incredibly durable! Excited to see what Brooks does with the Glycerin 21 :)

This is my 8th pair of Glycerins I've purchased for running/training, this is the least cushion pair I've ever had. I alternate between glycerin and hoka's, and I have to wear my hokas twice as much due to lack of cushion in the brooks. It may be my last pair and completely swap to hoka

I think it's worth noting that I'm a new runner. Although I do have an athletic background. I'm also a heavier guy at around 230lbs. Athletic build, but heavier runner for sure. I bought these shoes after researching several. I landed on these because of Brooks reputation in the running community and the cushion that these come with. The shoe right off the bat fit great and was super comfortable. I really loved them at first. However the more I ran in them I began to develop some pretty serious knee pain. I've tried diagnosing different areas such as running form, possible overuse, or lifting causing the issue. Through trial and error, and trying other shoes that I had previously, I came to the conclusion that this shoe was the cause of that knee pain. I believe due to the high heel to toe drop and max cushion causing me to heel strike more than normal. In a bigger guy like myself this caused issues and I found I am much better off in a lower heel to drop shoe with more responsive cushioning. All this to say I think this shoe could be great for the right type of runner. I loved the fit and these were incredibly comfortable. They just simply did not work for me. Not to say they will not work for you, just something to consider if you're a similar runner to myself.

I had to buy an insert to keep my heels from hurting after running. Would like more cushion in the heel. I've only ran 82 miles so far so we'll have to see how they hold up after more miles. I'm hoping to get 300 miles out of them

Brooks has always had good quality shoes. The inconsistency in sizing year to year lately is very frustrating. I've worn Brooks for 30 years and this version has been a struggle to get a good fit. The toe box is the widest I've ever experienced. I need a little less side to side slide on my runs/walks. Not a great fit. Having to consider a brand change unfortunately.

These shoes run small just like the 19's, going one half to one full size up. The heel to toe drop is also extremely noticeable, I found it to be quite uncomfortable. Like the Ghosts, I find the Glycerins to be getting worse year by year.

The shoe is well made like all of their shoes. The 19 has more cushion imo. The aesthetic of the 19 I prefer as well. These are comfortable shoes no doubt but the design is not classic Brooks. It's bulky from a lateral view. It's almost like the design team is chasing the Hoka look. Not a fan but it's a solid shoe.

I have been wearing the Ghost 14's for years but as my back is not getting any younger I wanted more cushion. Sad to say I don't think the Glycerin 20 had more cushion I was expecting, so I will stick with the ghost for now. As always Zappos makes it easy for shipping and returns. Thanks.

I am a Brooks fan, the only running shoe I will wear because of its fit and design that helps with my high arch. The Ghost is my go to shoe and the Glycerine is my long run shoe. When I saw the Glycerine 20's were coming out, I immediately had to get a pair. I loved the previous version. I loved to look of the shoe (triple black) and the fit felt like my old Ghosts, almost like a race shoe. So far so good. But then I wore them on my long run. Unlike my previous Glycerine's, the 20's had no cushioning or bounce. It took a toll on the bottom of my feet. I purchased a padded insole to help absorb some of the shock, and tried that out last night, but it had limited impact. It almost feels like I am running in my work dress shoes. I was told that the shoe takes a while to break in so I will continue wearing them hoping that I start to feel some shock absorbtion. In my case, the impact is felt in the ball of my foot. I hope this changes because I like the fit of these. Ironically, my new Ghosts feel like my old Glycerines and my new Glycerines feel like my old Ghosts. As of right now, the Glycerine 20's are not what I had hoped.

Very stiff. Fan of other brooks shoes (Adrenaline, Ghost), not these.
