I had the same problems that many others have noted. This was my second pair of these slippers.
1. The flannel lining wore through in multiple spots in a matter of months.
2. The stitching at the toes wears through as it's too close to the bottom of the shoe.
This happened when only wearing them indoors. This is unfortunate because these are the most comfortable slippers I've ever worn.
This was my second pair but these lasted an even shorter time than my first pair.
I won't be buying another pair and will look elsewhere as I am very disappointed.

I find tthe slipper constructed well but it presents a problem for me. I have a back problem and the roll-heel design of this slipper does not give me the support I need. If this slipper can be designed with a different heel similar to a shoe it would be an improvement.

I've worn a pair for many years. This newest pair, my usual size 9 ( I wear a size 8 1/2 shoe) is tight! I have been wearing them with socks in order to stretch them. After 3 weeks no change yet. They are so beautifully made that I will continue wearing them - knowing that I will eventually be successful, and they will be wonderful again.

More like a shoe than a slipper. Returned item.

I bought these slippers in the Freeport Maine store over last Labor Day as a retirement gift to myself. They are worn exclusively indoors. After only 4 months the stitching which holds the wraparound sole to the heel of the slipper, is failing. At this point I don't know where to go to find a quality product anymore.

I had purchased other Bean house slippers before and they were great. These are too short and size 12 doesn't come in a half size.

Had to return these slippers due to ripped upper stitching. They are very warm and comfortable and LL Bean replaced them after more than a year. I hope the replacement pair lasts longer .
I replaced them and not asked for a credit because LL Beans quality is usually great.
I figured I had gotten a rare defective pair.

These slippers are great now, but I hope
they are more durable than the last pair.
The last pair were very "weak" as far as the soles or bottoms go. My husband
ended up "duct"-taping them so his feet
wouldn't go through until I got him new
ones, and they weren't very old either!!!

These slipper look good, however, the flannel lining starts wearing out quickly leaving little dark balls of flannel everywhere. I am going to buy my husband the more expensive slippers again. His first pair lasted for 4 years.
I got what I paid for...

I purchased these because of quality slippers purchased from LLBean in the past. However, the flannel lining on these are wearing out after just a few months. Overall, they are hand-sewn well, but I honestly could not recommend these. I've paid much less for slippers that lasted way longer than these.

Well made shoe in most regards. Sole grips well, the body is stitched well, and the shoes fit equally well (though run a bit small so get half size larger). Unfortunately, the negatives outweigh...The leather laces always come undone, so I just gave up and leave them flapping. But worst of all is the flannel lining is too thin and wears out after a few months. You're left with a great shoe and there are holes in the flannel where your toes and heels are. You have to hide these nice slippers when guest come over or they'll think you're cheapskate. I really like them, but I guess I have to get the leather interior to avoid the wearing. Oh, the flannel doesn't collect foot smell for some reason, but the fluffy version does get a little funky. So, in short, great slipper, spend double (unfortunately) and get the leather interior.

I have owned these for about a month and the flannel lining on both is wearing through. The leather outer looks to be well made so maybe I would have been better with a fleece-lined pair.

These slippers are warm, comfortable, and good-looking. The flaw is that the flannel lining wears out very quickly. When that happens, while the slippers are otherwise in like-new condition, the lining falls apart and begins to get deposited in small pieces on floors and carpets wherever the slippers are removed.

The slippers are very comfortable, but the soles are beginning to separate in the front of both slippers after wearing them for only five months. I tried to replace them, but the slippers are on back order until March.

I purchased my second paid of ths slipper, the first had the lamb skin lined. The pair I purchased 8 months ago had the flannel lining. Althought the first paid were teriffic, this pair, with the flannel lining is less than satisfactory. After eight months use the lining has worn through on both left and right. The cloth needs to be upgraded so that this doesn't happen in less than a year.

I bought these as a gift for a man who always wears size 13. These slippers are at least two sizes too big!

I think the tan color was ugly, way too big (stated order up)? no half sizes, they need to be redone but LLbean is great and took them back(no questions asked),,would definitely buy something else.

These are very comfortable to wear around the house on those cold New England winter mornings. After only a handful of months, the lining in the heal is wearing thin to the point where they are threadbear now. I would have thought they would last a little longer than that.

Just delivered and very disappointed. Should advise people with half sizes not to buy. Half walk out of them. quality appears goods but useless. Will never buy footwear from here again.

Did not fit me and was stiff and uncomfortable. Maybe it was my fault. I returned them.

I got these as a gift a Christmas and already the insides have worn out around both heels. The lining is even wearing out directly under my heel so the damage cannot be attributed to excess movement of my foot, it's simply the result of my foot resting on the sole. Really discouraged as I have owned a number of Bean slippers over the years and they have always lasted well.

I bought a width D last time and was surprised that it was a medium (D used to be wide). So this time I bought a EE (wide) and was surprised it was exactly the same narrow width as the D. Send these back to China.

Bought these as a Christmas gift December 2025. Lining is deteriorating and exposing whit lining underneath. Less than 3 months of light use. Durability and quality of LL Bean Has gone down significantly. In just slippers alone I have own two double soled and one scuff slipper. These are not even 3 months old.

Bought Nov 2024, lining is trash, wide isn't wide enough. My third pair, never again!
My original pair lasted ten yearsbison leather.
