Used this product a week and the stitching came out of the side where sole attaches to leather. made me sad. Not the quality I expect from LLBean. Fixed it myself b/c didnt want to have to go thru waiting for return/exchange. But on the positive side, these are comfy and look good. so take a chance...

These are comfy slippers and the outside sole and leather are durable. However, the flannel wore away in the heals and under the balls of my feet after 2 years. I know things don't last forever but why make a sturdy body when the innards wear out?

i've had several pairs of these slippers through the years. Seems they have become a bit more snug through the toes. Leather not uniform from one slipper to the other. They are very durable, and a good price for slippers that could be worn for a quick trip to the store.

good product, however, it did not fit, we reordered a larger size.

Although my husband has had these slippers before, the pair I ordered for his birthday did not stretch out from wear as promised in the enclosed literature and they remained too tight for him. We returned them to the store. The first pair was very satisfactory, but this one was not.

I really wanted to love these slippers. But, they were so narrow, and designed for a symmetrical foot, with the middle toe being the longest, that it would have been impossible for them ever to break in properly. LLBean handled it with their normal good grace.

The negatives outweigh the positives for this product. The positives are: they fit great, they are wearing great, they are easy to put on, and the finished leather stays clean. The negatives are the leather laces often came untied. I have used tape or double tied them to try to keep them together. I stepped on them a few times. I have slipped and almost fallen when I have stepped on a little spilled water on the kitchen floor. I would love to see you offer a similar slipper without the leather laces and with a gripping sole.

I just received these slippers today. I was really looking forward to having them be immediately comfortable. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. The size seems right, but the width in the toe box is a little narrow, just enough to be uncomfortable. I ordered the men's size to have the wider width. I even removed my thin socks thinking that was the problem. Since these only come in full sizes I will have to return them...

I have worn these slippers for several years. Very comfortable. My only complaint is the bottoms wear through before the leather tops wear out. Love the free shipping now with LLB.

These slippers have really nice leather and the stitching is decent. The outsole has put up with my husband's everyday wear and tear, however, I cannot say the same about the flannel lining. It is torn to shreds on the sides and the heel. The insole has gone as well and my husband had to purchase a Dr. Scholl insert to replace the footbed. Other than that, the rest of the slipper has held up for the last 2 years. I am purchasing the leather double-lined model this year in hopes that we do not run into the flannel tearing problem again.

On recommendation of customer service, I ordered my husband's regular size. Too short, too narrow for his foot. My husband was so uncomfortable in them he did not want to exchange it for another size. Wish these came in wide sizes.

Unfortunately hubby has a fat foot and high instep. He was unable to get the slipper on, may have been due to the extra width of the lining fabric. Really liked the look and feel of slipper and tried to tell him they would stretch because they were leather...we'll have to keep looking.

I tried different sizes, but none worked. The slippers were too tight across the top of the arch, so I sent them back. They appear to be quite comfortable, but I just couldn't find the correct size.

Nice slipper, but don't buy it if you have normal to wide feet. It is just oo narrow.

Have worn these slippers for years, have been through 4or 5 pair as the sole wears through. This pair is considerably smaller than my previous ones. Cannot wear them so will be returning

I hate to say anything bad about ll bean because my wardrobe is mostly llbean.This time with the slippers one was larger than the other one.The quality was fine.The return went smooth as usual.

Love everything about these slippers - but there's FOAM between the flannel and leather in the uppers (ie, AROUND the foot, not just underneath). Would exchange them for the fleece version but turns out they're constructed the same way. Foam in the upper? Why?? I'm returning them, they make my feet sweat.

I received a pair of these slippers for xmas in Dec 2009.Initially I thought they were an incredible value due to the outstanding workmanship, quality and price paid. They are very comfortable and I have routinely worn them both in and outside my home.My only criticism, although an important one, is that after owning them for about a year, the stitching on the bottom of the sole of both slippers started to unravel. They have unraveled to the point that the front of the soles is close to flapping when i walk and I wont be able to use them much longer. Although i didnt take the time to read all of the other reviews of this product,I would be surprised if other customers havent had the same problem because I have not worn them on any rough surfaces other than on my driveway when I'm going to get the mail . These are great slippers and I would love another pair ,but I am wary of experiencing the same problem as I have had with this pair.

This is my 3rd pair. They are comfortable but the durability of the second pair was very disappointing. If this experience is repeated with the current pair, I'll have to replace the model or even brand

This is the second pair of these slippers that we have bought for my husband. He likes them a lot, but the first pair lasted less than a year--the stitching came undone and the sole was coming off one of them. Maybe he is hard on them (wears a lot), but we are hoping this second pair lasts longer. They are very comfortable and nice looking.

I have replaced my 7 month old pair with a new pair because few weeks after getting my first pair, the flannel lining around and below my heel tore off and the stuffing came out. The quality is disappointing for a $40 pair of indoor sippers. I won't be buying them again if the new pair wear just as badly. Buy one size down in these because they expand to fit your feet over time. If you get your actual size, they will become loose over time.

These slippers run really narrow. Went to the Bean store in NJ to see if they had anything wider and noticed the 13s were about the same width as the 9s they had on display. Someone needs to look at increasing the width of these as the sizes go up, or at least offer wide sizes. Otherwise I really like these slippers, but can't find ones to fit.

I'm wearing my second pair in ten years. The third pair I just returned because the sole stitching on the toe crapped out. Only six months old and only indoor use. Of course, the flannel liner has worn out under the heel and under the ball of the foot, as these always do. But, I like how these fit and wear, otherwise. [Why would I buy my third pair?!] I keep wearing these indoors and the gum rubber eventually wears out under the ball of your foot. I'm still avoiding the sheerling lined, which I've also bought, only because the lining flattens out way too soon.
