Let me start this off that I'm a lifelong bean fanatic. Lived within 20 minutes of Freeport my whole life, and 50%+ of my wardrobe is Bean's.
I got a pair of these in August when going shopping with my friend at the flagship store in Freeport; we both got a pair. He is usually a size 10, but needed size 11 slippers. I am normally a size 13, but needed size 12s. Being as we were in store, this wasn't an issue, as we could both try them on.
My friend hasn't had a lot of wear in his yet, but I've worn mine daily. They've very comfy, fit great, and look great. However, after around a month, the stitching that holds the rubber sole to the leather upper tore, and I needed to superglue the sole to the upper on both of them in multiple areas along the toe.
This hasn't affected the comfort or wearability of this slipper, but seeing as my Bean Boots, LLBean hiking boots, and Wicked Good Moccasins have lasted 2+ years with no incident, I was slightly disappointed.
I'm aware of the return policy, but I'd rather fix the shoes and keep them out of the landfill than demand an exchange. For the price, these can't be beaten.

I like the looks and comfort. This is my fourth pair, but unfortunately in all 3 previous pairs, the lining tore. For a $50 slipper, you should consider another material or something to alleviate this recurring problem.

Way too narrow; couldn't even get them on my feet. Very high quality slippers. My entire family wears them so I thought I'd give them a try, but had to return them. I normally wear EEE and I wish they came in wide widths

While I love the fit and comfort of these slippers, I am disappointed in how quickly the flannel lining wears out leaving exposed foam. This then eventually begins to break apart.

I find these slippers exceptionally comfortable. They are not unattractive (how great can slippers look?), and are fairly durable, with one significant shortcoming: this is the third pair that I have owned. Clearly I find them worth having, but the linings wore out too quickly on the other two pairs. I expect that they will again on this new pair, but I'll enjoy them while they last, and then I'll wear them as whatever that stuff is between the lining and the leather starts fluffing out against my feet. When I get embarrassed by my kids seeing them when they're left on the floor, I'll probably buy another pair.

Good slipper and have had a couple pairs but the flannel cloth inside wears through in one season and I don't wear these all the time. Outside slipper is great but inside is poorly made with not good quality. Comfortable

size 13 runs small - comfortable. Fits in bare feet but to tight with regular sport socks.

Very comfortable and fit great. Problem with flannel wearing out in each slipper at the heel after 6 months.

I purchased them for my husband as a Christmas gift last year. He loved them. BUT, the lining in the heel area has worn thru. Obviously, theses are not daytime shoes so they don't get constant wear & tear. I'm not sure if it was quality of bedroom slipper or just a one time problem. Ordered another pair for Christmas .....will see what happens. May be the last pair.
The funny thing is the cheap ones you see during the holiday wear like iron. Might be returning to those.

I only wear these for the colder months so for only about 6-7 months of occasional usage on weekends. They are comfortable and as far as the sole and outside leather they have lasted and show no real wear. I noticed that the flannel lining is worn in the heel area so I feel they may make it through two winters at best. I do not wear socks when wearing these so maybe the lining would last longer if I had worn socks.

I really like these. . . now . . unfortunately.
they fit a bit too snug to wear socks with for the first few months, then they stretched out and i could wear socks with them, and they now fit like a glove.
the problem is that by the time they had stretched out to be the right size, the flannel lining had worn through at the heel and now there is nothing under my heel inside the slipper.
I still wear mine, and the soles are great for inside or the occasional jaunt to the mailbox. they look nice and seem like a quality slipper. they probably would be "buy it for life" in every way but the lining. if you wear socks with them, they're still a fine slipper. I just expected better.

I bought these slippers in October, 2014 and wear them around the house. The exterior is in great shape, and they are very comfortable. But the flannel lining has already split, and frayed/disintegrated in both heels, so I don't know how long before my heels are resting directly on the slippers' soles.
I had several pairs of the earlier version of LLBean flannel slippers, the ones with the red flannel linings and partial black rubber(?) soles allowing short trips outside. It took four or five years to wear them out, even though I frequently wore them when giving my dog short walks in the morning. Those were tough slippers!
I wish they would be offered again, as I also liked their appearance and comfort. A tattered pair still sits under my bed reserved for dashes outside in wet or snowy weather.

This is my third pair in approximately 12 years for this particular style of LLBean slipper. The previous slippers had excellent construction, lots of nice features and stood up to a great deal of punishment. They were a "6" out of 5 Stars.
The overall build quality on the latest version is still good. There are a couple of differences though.
1. LLBean suggests that 1/2 sizes should go up to the next full size. This was true of the previous versions but i had to return my first pair and go down a size because they were too big. I am thankful of LLBean's free return policy to LLBean card holders.
2. The previous versions had a separate, sewn in sole that lasted forever. The latest version looks to have a molded crepe material that wraps around the side of the slipper. Only time will tell how this holds up.
3. The flannel lining appears to be on par with the earlier version but the padding is less dense (even when compared to my 6 year old slippers). Also, the earlier version had an extra nice touch of leather sewn into the arch support area. Unfortunately, this is missing in the latest one.
I originally considered giving this a 4/5 but without knowing how the modifications will impact the durability I dropped it down (like I had to with the shoe size).

I bought a pair almost two years ago. I only wear them in the house for a couple of hours during the morning. The flannel on the inside has worn considerably and the upper stitching has broke away from the rubber sole and leather. I like the look of the slippers and I am half satisfied with the fit. I need another pair...so I'm going to buy the fleece lined, and I'm going to go up in length...Hope these last longer than the flannel.

We did not like the sole. Not strong enough for walking on it in the garage or from the car to the store.

I love the fit of the slipper, the ability to walk outside in them. I did have a problem of the flannel wearing off in a short time. LL Bean lives up to their reputation and they replaced them for me.

Only came in "D" width. I ordered a longer size, hoping it would be a wider "D", but it was still too narrow. . Had to return the item.It would be great to have wider options.

This slipper is in most ways the same as I have been wearing for many years except that the new ones that I just purchased are more narrow and with a more pointed toe. The new ones are also a little longer which is not good for me as my shoe size is 91/2. The new one does not allow room for a sturdy sock. Over all this slipper is acceptable but not as good as the same slipper that I have purchased from you in the past.

These slippers are very comfortable to wear around the house and keep my feet warm on those cold winter mornings when I get out of bed. They usually last about two years. The flannel wears away in he heel of the slipper as well as the bottom inside. The exterior sole wears out in the back. They are not meant to be worn outside. Luckily they are priced at $39.95 so it is not a huge lost.

The ordering mechanism states, "1/2 size order bigger". They are much too big after I did what was suggested. I am still trying to wear them and see if they can be comfortable.

Length was OK and overall construction seemed to be good, but it was quite narrow for a medium width.
Will have to return the item.

I WAS GREATLY DISAPPOINTED IN THE LACK OF A HEEL AND HARD SOLE, AND THE FIT. MY HIGH INSTEP DID NOT EASILY SLIP IN AND IT WAS EVEN IMPOSSIBLE TO FACILITATE WITH A SHOE HORN. DONNING THE SLIPPERS REQUIRES FIVE MINUTES OF MANUALLY WIGGLING AND PUSHING FOR EACH FOOT. AFTER THREE WEEKS OF BREAKING-IN AS SUGGESTED BY THE NOTE INCLUDED IN PKG, THEY HAVE NOT SIGNIFICANTLY IMPROVED. I HAVE NO COMPLAINT WITH THE WORKMANSHIP OR APPEARANCE. I REGRET MY NAIVITE AND FAILURE PROPERLY TO INTERPRET THE DESCRIPTION OF THE PRODUCT. WOULD I RECOMMEND THESE SLIPPERS TO A FRIEND? SURE, PROVIDED THEY'RE AN EASY FIT.

I received my first pair of these slippers as a gift several years ago. They lasted longer and fit better than any slippers I had previously owned and were very comfortable and versatile. Although I ordered the same size and style as the others were, these feel bigger and just don't have the same look as my other pair did. I don't know what they mean by hand sewn (unless they're describing the laces) because they certainly look to be machine stitched. If these pair last as long as the first, I'll be surprised.

I have been purchasing these slippers for my husband for at least the past ten years Just bought another pair recently because the last pair "squeak" like crazy. He always has one old pair and one good pair handy. He hasn't walked in the newly purchased ones, but very dissappointed with the last pair.
