The laces don't stay tied. Slippers are to be worn bare foot...my opinion. The flannel lining is way to warm and your feet sweat. NOT Comfortable! They don't breathe. Would not recommend or purchase again.

I have been wearing these slippers for a month or so, and they are still very tight. It is a struggle to get into them.

I bought these slippers in the hopes that they would last at least as long (or longer) than my last pair of slippers. I work at home and from November to March, I wear them most of the time. I've had these for less than 3 months, they stretched slightly to a PERFECT fit within a week and are so, SO comfortable. 3 months of near daily wear and the sole and exterior look absolutely new. BUT the lining is completely falling apart. The flannel lining has already worn through in both shoes exposing the foam cushioning. Both along the side of the heel, and the sole. I'm so disappointed that the exterior of these would likely last 3 years and the interior will be mostly shot in the next few weeks. If I'd paid $30 or less, I'd understand. These should have lasted longer for the price.

This is my 4th pair of slippers, and I love getting a new pair, but it seams that the slippers are wearing out from the inside in less than a year. I know that since I retired that I wear them more often but after 6 months I start leaving balls of flannel around the house from the slippers. After a year, they are worn down to the base. The rest of the slipper is in good condition.

I'm a little disappointed by the quality with these. Yes, they are comfortable and have good padding, but not after long, that padding starts wearing down. It started with the laces. After a bit, they would not even stay tied so I had to get rid of them. From there, the sole started wearing down after about a year and a half. If you are looking for a quick fix for a slipper, this definitely works. If you're looking for something to last you a little bit a time, I would look elsewhere

I found the slippers too narrow for my size to the point of being uncomfortable to wear. Otherwise appears to be a quality product.

Overall I like them, but they do seem to be about a half size to short and a half size too wide. Perhaps the added width is the reason that they seem to turn in. I added an insert and they are more comfortable though still not quite 100%. That being said, I would buy them again when these wear out.

These slippers are NOT "buttery soft", but in fact, a very stiff leather, which I feel will be years in softening with many applications of oil. I don't really want to use boot oil on house slippers which then could get oil around the house. The lace is impossible to tie securely. They mysteriously untied twice within an hour of TV watching; I am constantly re-tying them. The sole is also extremely stiff; when I walk, they do not bend with my foot, instead, they fall away at the heel with every step. I plan to return the slippers. They look very nice, and the lining is comfortable, but everything (slipper and lace) is stiff and certainly not "buttery soft".

The outer construction is excellent. The leather and outer sole wear very well, but we keep exchanging them because the inner sole flannel is poor quality. The flannel lining needs to be changed to a heavy weight like LLB shirts. This seems to be poor poly flannel that does not wear well at all. Five stars if this lining is fixed!

I have owned LL Bean slippers for years, and love them. However, in the last 1 1/2 years I had to replace a pair. The new ones I ordered were with the fleece lining, the old once were flannel lined. When I received my new fleece lined ones, I noticed that the upper part of my foot, under the tongue, became irritated and inflamed. This is the only part of my foot that is bothered. I suspect that the label on the underside of the tongue is the problem, because it matches the irritated part of my foot. Wondering if anyone else has reported this problem?

Good thick leather, therefore slow to stretch or conform to your foot, pretty warm for only a flannel lining, quite a narrow cut for a 'medium'.

The leather slippers are very tight in the forward section around the toes. I am hoping they will stretch out to make them comfortable. I have had them for a few weeks and no success yet.

I was looking for a summer "run-around" slipper, so I bought these. They'd be great if they weren't insulated. Not a good choice for summer time use. Perhaps including critical details in the description would save on returns.

I first bought these slippers and the concept is great, a hard soled slipper that I can wear taking my dogs outside in the morning, lined, warm. Problem is, they fall apart before what I would expect their lifetime should be. But, no problem, right? They are guaranteed forever. I bought and returned at least three pair when they wore out. BUT: No more guarantee. So now that my most recent purchase is wearing out, my next slippers will be purchased somewhere else.

I have had at least ten pairs of these slippers over many years. (might even be 15 or 20 pairs) The latest pair that I have has worn out substantially faster than the ones I have had in the past. I have always known that the flannel lining wears out faster than I would like but with this pair the leather lace on one slipper fell apart and the flannel wore out literally in one month. I admit I wear these slippers EVERY day for many hours but...I am finally for the first time in many years considering buying something which wears longer than these. I only received these slippers last Christmas and they are already toast.

...not so much. after only a few months of ownership, the inner lining was shredded. the upper and sole are still in great shape but the inner lining is shot. even though the lining was done within months I kept them anyway. Now I've had them almost 4 years and as you can see the outsides are still in great shape. Would not buy again unless the lining was improved

I have had these slippers several years and was considering ordering another pair because the felt liner has become badly deteriorated. It actually failed within the first year and I have just tolerated the condition. After reading several reviews citing the same poor quality felt lining, I have decided not to re-purchase.

The quality of these slippers seems great--wish they would have fit! The advice to order up for half size did not work for my husband. His foot is slightly on the wide side with a high instep. Ordering up yielded a very long slipper that was still way too tight for comfort. He wears other LL Bean shoes with good results, ordering the wide version. With some shoes (Skechers), he is able to wear medium width successfully. Ordering information for this slipper should include a warning for those with even slightly wide foot, higher instep.

I have been looking for slipper like these for years. I don't like fleece lined because my feet get to hot and sweat. these are right on for that! The only real problem I have with them is that the toe box on the left one is off center and seems twisted some how. I cant tell if the sole was put on wrong or what but the end is twisted. They will work for around the house but if they were shoes that I would be wearing in public I would have to return them. I expected better from LL Bean and from a $50 pair of slippers!

Slippers are nice and I'm sure they will be comfortable, but need to exchange them at the store, the one slipper near the toe is sewn incorrectly and it's very uncomfortable. Otherwise they are nice and I'm sure will serve their purpose.

shoe appeared to be of high quality, however the fit was too narrow. Returned for credit since the model shoe did not offer any wider choice.
