Been wearing boots and shoes for 74 years… Very odd fit. Sides cut too high at the Engle bone.

I purchased two pair (because I generally like LLBean products), but these were a big disappointment. They were reasonably comfortable and have good soles and tread, but the uppers for both pair began to deteriorate rather quickly. I also found the standard original laces to be quite frustrating. They would continually perform a Houdini act and untie themselves... always had to double-knot until I ultimately replaced them

I have two pairs of these shoes. In all four shoes the cloth shoe lining was flimsy and shredded quickly. That's unacceptable. The original shoe laces were very slippery and would not stay tied even if "double tied". The laces had to be replaced. They are otherwise good shoes, but details matter.

Took one walk. Left heel took a beating. Painful. Will return.

I bought this hiking shoe back in April, and after wearing them for the past 5-6 months the shoes are still too narrow for a wide EE width! I was hoping that they would get better after some good breaking-in use but they still hurt my toe area. They are too narrow in the toe.

Slippery soles. Unsafe on rocks in rivers. Fell and nearly injured.

ordered 1/2 size larger than foot, and shoe was still snug. However, had to return them because the side of the shoe was too high and hurt my ankle bone.

I ordered this shoe in a size 14 wide. This is the first time I've ever purchased a size 14 that was too tight on the length. I would recommend adding a 1/2 to your normal shoe size.

I were an, 10.5EE. I found them to be not very cushiony and not that wide for being an EE (wide) shoe. I liked the style (the colors, grey and brown), but there uncomfortable. So I didn't were them for while. I tried to return them but LLBean's said it had been too long since I purchased them. I've since started buying closes elsewhere because of their policies...

I buy LLB shoes because they offer EE widths and high quality products. My order of this shoe in size 12 EE had high quality but was way too tight in the toe box, unlike other LLB 12 EE shoes I own and love.

The width of the "wide" shoes is too narrow. Had to return the shoes. Disappointed, I liked the way the shoes looked.

They look like decent quality shoes, but they're ridiculously tight. I ordered the size that I normally wear in other brands and I even followed the true size recommendation, but I could barely squeeze my feet into them as if they were at least a full size too small. Now I guess I have to pay $6.50 to send them back. This is the first product I've ever purchased from LL Bean. I've always heard that they had a good reputation, but I'm not impressed. I doubt I'll bother shopping here again.

These boots are close to a total disappointment. I have a small wound over the heel cord for the first time in decades - on the left foot it is already painful and on the right foot I feel it is close to it. On top of that, the laces untie by themselves. The shoes dont really feel warm at around 30°. They seem to be waterproof, though, but I can't say to what extent. Overall, should I re-live my life with the experience saved, I would never buy these boots.

This is a well made shoe but unfortunately my husband tried Regular width and wide but neither fit his foot. Too tight across his instep.

These quality shoes are not the size advertised. I ordered size 12D as I have ordered from in the past and got a shoe too narrow. I have since ordered a wider size W and got a shoe too short . So now I will order 13W. I have never had to order that big.

The Tek 2.5 water proofing membrane stops working a year or two into ownership. Treating with Durable Water Repellent doesn't work for long. Recommend a shoe using Goretex for true waterproofing that endures. My La Sportiva Goretex trail shoes still repel water and don't soak through.

The shoe fits rather hard. Not comfortable for long periods of time. The pair I bought a couple of years ago from you were much better

After two days I had to return them . The heel sides are stiff and were like sandpaper on my ankles. No problem to return items to LL Bean.

The wide shoes are nowhere near wide enough, way too tight. Tried on the next size up and they were also too narrow. LLBean needs to get a wider selection of widths, only list one regular and one wide, at least in this line of shoe.
