This hiking shoe has kept me dry and warm. It fits very well and contrary to other reviews I did not find any rubbing on my foot from the shoe design. The toe box area is very strong compared to similar shoes I have had in the past. A sturdy sole makes it a good alternative to a hiking boot. I would feel comfortable using this with a loaded backpack but my usage is limited to day hikes. Plan to get years of usage from this shoe.

Reasonably priced and attractive. Seems sturdy too. In the short time I have owned them I have not had the opportunity to go hiking, but I have worn them for normal everyday walking around, and they are comfortable. I hike mainly on trails that have already been blazed which I think is perfect for this particular shoe.

True waterproof, keeps feet warm, looks great, only one negative is the weight about 1lb each shoe.

I've only had these for one month and they have been excellent. Use them both for work and play. Comfortable fit and waterproof. A real quality shoe.

I wanted a waterproof hiker for a trip to Switzerland. They was very comfortable walking through rainy streets of Luzern, snowy streets of St. Moritz, or inside a glacier on Klein Matterhorn! While others complained their feet were cold, I never had a problem. Great value and comfort!

Most comfortable shoe or boot that I own. Totally waterproof during the heaviest rainfalls. Feet don't sweat in these.

These shoes are great from the quality, fit, and the way they feel on my feet. The price is perfect as well. You can ill afford to pass these shoes up!

We were off on a trip to Ireland and my husband needed some sturdy, waterproof shoes. Got these at Beans and he loves them! Very comfy and warm as well as waterproof. He will be wearing these all winter for our daily walks. They also look great on him.

After 2 years of use, these are still comfortable and feet stay dry. I am now looking for a waterproof shoe just for outdoor work, mowing and gardening in sometimes wet conditions, so these may become my yard shoes while I may get another pair for everyday (read "clean") use. Great alternative for an athletic shoe on rainy days. L.L.Bean has the smaller size that I need, where other retailers do not.

Bought these for my husband who needs a wide width and plenty of room due to some foot problems. He is able to walk comfortably in these and is very happy with them. It is good to see him in a shoe that is comfortable and perfect for walks on trails or around the neighborhood.

Excellent quality, comfort and fit true to size

I own three pairs of these shoes and they are terrific. They are great in all conditions including rain and light snow too. I highly recommend them.

I have had these for 6 months now and do not have any issues. Great quality, durable, excellent support and good traction. I have a hard time finding shoes that fit with good support and these fit perfect. I see they are on sale today so I am buying another pair to keep on hand when these eventually wear out.

Our recent trip to Alaska featured lots of hiking on the agenda, so we decided it was time for new shoes. These were a great choice. They were strong, relatively lightweight and had very strong support. I was able to break them in quickly and they performed with excellence. We had several sessions on rougher trails, with one afternoon clambering on a rocky seashore. No slipping, no sliding, no blisters, no sore feet!

I bought these for outside work both for home and as a Rutgers Master Gardener. They're great. Love the fact that they are waterproof. They fell like sneakers but a little stiffer in the sole, that's a good thing for a work type shoe. I ordered my sneaker size which is half size up from shoe size and it was perfect.

I have 3 pairs of the Trail Model 4 hiking shoes which I trade off wearing for both casual hiking, everday wear and to work. I find them very comfortable and stable, a good fit, keep my feet dry as I walk the dog through wet grass and economical.

a great shoe, plus side it's waterproof which is very good on rainy days while hiking or going to the store. i would like to see it with a velcro strap for those who have a hard time tying their shoes. i would buy these again

My son needed waterproof sneakers for his summer job. These are perfect: not too heavy, keep his feet dry, comfortable, good tread and a great price on sale.

I am wearing them now, best fit, really comfortable, price right, well built, other LLBean shoes also the best, can't go wrong.

These are nice sturdy shoes but were too wide for my husband's quite narrow foot. Sadly, he returned them.

Purchased for an international trip (yet to happen) but wearing on a daily basis to "break in". Title says it all!

Sized nicely, ordered the wide width (EE)and came as advertised. Good fit; good toe room.

Bought these for my husband who loved them so much he wanted a second pair in another color. He says they are really comfortable and appreciates that they are waterproof. Highly recommended.
