Bought this as a gift for my daughter. Size 7 was too small for her, she has to return it. First time I have bought LLBean sandals for her that didn't fit.

7.5-8 wide foot. I am a fan of LL Bean products and shoes. But these were disappointing in that the straps already feel stretched out. I don't expect them to be tight (it's not a fitness/active shoe) but would like them to not be so floppy feeling and I already have wide feet to begin with. Pretty disappointed as I love LLBean products and design was great (I got the "yellow lab" design which actually looks more like a Brittany (my dog's breed) than a lab.

The straps did not fit snug enough so had to return them.

When you have a terrific product that everyone loves, why redesign it? Last year's Maine Isle flip flops were FLOPS! I hate the two pairs I bought. This year customers have been offered something similar to the old style, however, the straps are very loose on my feet, unlike my 10 old pairs. Not only that, but this year's selection was just plain ugly. I ordered the Caribbean Blue Crab style, but that will be all I buy this year. LL Bean, you've shot your customers in the foot! Time to demote the person who thought redesigning this fabulous product was a good idea. Please, please, please return to the old product. By the way, I toss mine in the washer and they come out like new.

I have about 15 pair of these LL Bean flip flops that I have purchased in the past. I bought two new pair this year and both of them are way too wide. I am returning both of them because they are not comfortable and flop around on my feet. I was really let down because I love these flip-flops.

The length was fine, and width was ok, but the straps are too loose. I am going to size down and see if that helps.

Last year's style was very uncomfortable and I returned 2 pairs after I changed sizes. Now you have the original back, but the straps are too loose. The length and width are fine for me, but my foot slips in the looser straps. Please try to find the original strap length, especially the thong part between the toes. Thanks.

I've worn the original Maine Isle flip flops for years and absolutely loved them. Then you changed them, and I thought I give them a try. Horrible, couldn't return them fast enough. You've brought the old style back, but people are complaining about the sizes. My complaint is the styles offered are no where as versatile as in the past! Stripes, dots and neutral colors, blue, tan are what make them truly usable for multiple wearings. Who wants "angry owls" on their feet?!

I was tickled to death to see the "original" back on the market. I've owned over 60 pairs through the years (still have most of them and wear them). Last year's model was horrible, so sent them back. Once I discovered that you brought back the original, I ordered 3 pairs. They are pretty close, but not your last original. They are shorter in length, and a whole lot narrower. The straps are loser as well. I'm keeping them, but sure do wish you all could replicate the ones everyone was so stirred up about you getting rid of last year. If you are planning on these matching up to the originals size-wize in length, order up. On the width, only one option is available, so I don't know what you'll do. LL Bean, would it be possible to find out how the Original models (year before last) measured up in length, width and strap size and replicate it? I would have loved to have rated these 5 stars as I've always done before, but they are not the same.....sorry......close but not the same.

These are close but not quite the original Maine Isle flip flop. These are really close but they are narrower than the original. Not quite sure why the original could not be duplicated in its entirely so these sandals offer less support than the original - still better than the new version though.

I own three pair of these flip flops purchased over the years. They are comfortable and conform to my feet. However the black dye from the foot bed still rubs off on my feet so I am hesitant to give them a higher rating. I would buy another pair if convinced the bottom of my feet won't turn black.

They are nothing like they used to be. The footbed is hard and has not broke in and I've been trying several weeks. There is NO arch support and it is like walking on a hard board that flops around. I've worn out several pairs in previous years with the footbed easily forming to fit my feet.

I had a pair of the old style fora few years and loved them They were molded to the foot shape and had arch support. The sole wore down and were slippery so had to give them up. The new style is a flat flip flop with a glorified price tag. They are good for a quick walk to the pool but that's it. They offer no foot support. Bring back the old style.

The knot at the top of the strap caused a sore on my second toe. I love the dragonfly design and color but I've stopped wearing them. I thought they might loosen up and become comfortable but did not. The left was fine but the right not.

Why are you making them with black soles. They turn your feet black. The soles are soft and wear out faster that any others I have bought from you. I have bought these from you for 30 years, these black soles are the worst. Will never buy again. I have a pair I bought a couple years ago from you that have beige sole why can you not do more of those.

Not sure why, but this specific design leaves brown/tan marks on my feet when they get wet from rain, sweat, wateranything liquid! It's so embarrassing when I wear them out or to the pool and I have brown marks on the top of my feet (where the leather log is). Now, I own at least 5 other pair of these types of flip flops from L.L.Bean and have never had this problem! In fact, the other pairs have gotten wet and they don't do this. Maybe it's just this pair or just this design but the brown markings only come off with soap and water. (I think tonight the left foot is darker because I got caught in the rain and my left foot was in the rain longer than the right foot!)

The flip-flops fit just like they always have, and I haven't experienced the same discomfort with the knot others have reported, but... The dragonflies are all over the place. There seemed to be zero care or QA oversight as to how the pattern on the straps ran, and makes for a sloppy presentation. They aren't mirrored, there aren't even two running in the same direction. I have purchased the same style flip-flop (not the same pattern) years before, and the patterns are at least upright. I won't be wearing these out anywhere, and I can't recommend these patterned ones to anyone. Pick the geometric instead.

I just received my new pair of flip flops and they're going right back! I compared them to my older pair (of LL Beans) and they are substantially narrower (both in the toe and heel area) and shorter! So much so, that I would have to order a larger size for the length, but I don't think the heel area would be any wider- so I'm returning them.

I bought 2 pairs and sent back I measured the straps and thought one was smaller, got second pair could not get foot in I 've been buying these for years, gave that pair for a second to my daughter to break them in and she said no way too tight, so please expand your straps so I can get a new pair I've been buying these for many many years too small !!

Very comfy and cute, but the sole separated after very little wear. See the second photo. Can't return as I bought these in the winter over a year ago and return window has closed. I wish the return policy took into account actual wear as opposed to time purchased. Could be this pair was a fluke as other reviews state how long wearing these were.

The print is very pretty in person. The footbed is typical flip flop and not super cushy and the harder material between the toes is not comfy. So it looks good and feels meh. I don't like the toe part of a flip flop typically but I had a gift card and bought what I wouldn't normally buy and true to form - I still don't like the in between the toes part of the flip flop. Design on point - value for money not.

I like the arch support but these flip flops are hard and stiff. I only wear them in the house trying to break them in because I don't think I'll ever get them broken in to wear comfortably to wear outside. I've had these for 2 years and they are still as hard and stiff as the day I bought them. I wear a 6.5 and the 7's fit fine and zi would not size down as recommended.

The thong is stiff and uncomfortable. This flip flop is so cute that it’s a shame it isn’t more comfortable. Also, what happened to half sizes? I purchased a size 8, but it was too big and floppy. Size 7 is too small.

They are very difficult to put on. The straps are too tight and I have to try several times to get them in correctly. Would never buy them again!
