The location of the ankle strap makes this more comfortable than other styles by Aravon. It felt a bit loose overall, though, and only had moderate arch support.

Cute show but it did not work for the outfit intended for wear.

I bought these shoes for work, hoping they'd be comfortable enough to stand most of the day in. The fit of the shoe itself is great. I wear 11WW which are hard to make look cute, but these seem to have been made for me. They don't pinch or rub anywhere. The only thing I don't like is the strap across the top. It's a little snug when I first put them on, and feel tighter as my day progresses. Not uncomfortable enough for me to not wear them though. Not bad, just not perfect overall.

I was looking for a pump with a wide toe box and removable insole due to wearing of orthotics and having bunion These pumps fit the bill beautifully. However I have to return them because my particular orthotic does shoe fit properly into the shoe! Better luck next time.

Like many other Aravon shoes, these are very comfortable, good for walking, and dressy enough to look fine and not like such an old lady. :) I highly recommend it! I bought it in 3 different colors.

I have had chemotherapy for two years now. I have severe neuropathy in my feet so I need straps to keep my shoes on. The sole of this shoe is so rigid it feels like you are wearing blocks of wood on your feet...somewhat like a clog feel. Between the numbness of my feet and the stiffness of this shoe it left me with little control while maneuvering stairs or even just walking on uneven surfaces. Had to mail them back.

Cute and comfy replacement for bulky Danskos. Perfect for walking to work and wearing with dress pants or skirt. Great for my triangular feet - wide toe box and fitted heel.

I was excited about these shoes, but have to return them because they were both at least 1/2 size longer and wider than would fit my feet, which are normally 11W in other shoes (including Cobb Hill, which is also made by New Balance). As far as the style is concerned, I think that even if they had fit well I couldn't have worn them as dress shoes easily. If Aravon still offered the Mia, that seemed to be a much nicer looking style. Certainly, though, these shoes are much more comfort-minded than most dress shoes. The insole was easy to remove (and replace if need be) and the toe box was very roomy. I'm not a fan of velcro on dress shoes, but that did allow for snug fitting around the ankle.

These are high quality shoes, very well made. I ordered my usual 9 EE but was surprised to find that they were wide enough but too short. Had to send the first pair back and order 9.5. I've never worn that size before but they fit perfectly even with an orthotic insert. They feel a bit stiff but I'm sure they will soften with wear.

I have wide feet and don't wear heels, but wanted a dressier shoe to wear at work with dresses or slacks. This foot is comfortable enough without socks, and styling is probably the nicest I have seen. Will look at other styles in this brand for my next pair. Its made by New Balance, I wear their sneakers.

I wanted a shoe with a slight heel that I could wear with skirts or dresses. It's hard for me to find shoes with a large enough toe box because my feet are very rectangular with the three middle toes almost the same length instead of sloping down like normal feet, and I'm also developing a bunion. This shoe looks okay with skirts/dresses; some friends yesterday even told me it was cute. It has a very roomy toe box although the ankle strap cuts a little into my ankle. It runs small. I ordered a 9-1/2 (a little too small) and a 10 (a little big but I added an insole so that my foot wouldn't slip around). My normal size is 41 in Finn Comfort Tofino, 9.5 in Saucony sneaker, and 9 in Earth Shoe Alder (with thin socks).

What I am looking for in a wide mary jane, may not be out there for me. I did keep these Aravon Mayas because they are close enough to what I'm looking for: comfortable closed toe, dressy-business wear. I wear a 6.5 WW and have inordinately high arches. The toe box is sized wide and the with the large toe box, it looksclunky. Again, I'm working with the feet I've got and a well- fitted comfortable dressy business wear shoe, outside of the Dankso sandal line, is not easy to find. Zappos however, remains my one and only shoe store for the great selection in WW.

I loved these shoes the minutes I opened the box. The ankle straps were a bit tight at first, so the end of the velcro was exposed and snagging on my tights. After one wearing, they had stretched out sufficiently that the velcro is now covered. Warning: the lining of these shoes turns your socks and feet very black. I hope that is simply a factor of their newness, really I do. I had to use a pumice stone to scour the inky stains off my feet, especially my heels. That factor makes me love them just a tiny bit less.

Very comfortable, but have a high arch and the strap barely closed - leaving the abrasive side of Velcro exposed - guaranteed to grab onto hose if I cross my ankles and to rip out the hem of pants.

I was quite excited to find these shoes, as they appear to be everything I need - support, style, and extra width in the toes. Unfortunately I found that my foot wanted to slide forward with each step. It may be that the heel is a bit too far back, or maybe there is too much forward slant in the heel area. The heels don't actually feel that high, so it was odd. I also found that the ankle strap was cut too short for my high-instep feet. With them on, the velcro facing was exposed by at least 1/2" beyond the strap end. With these issues, and the price, I decided to return them. Fortunately Zappos makes that process pain free.

A bit clunky looking from the front, but great profile from the side. Very stable heel. Narrow fit heel, wide front and lots of padding. Unfortunately, for me, the vamp hits right at the joint of my big toe, causing discomfort with each step. There is a platform sole issue also, which makes stepping awkward as it resists bending where I need shoes to bend.

These shoes are great! I especially love that I can take out the insoles and put my orthopedics in the shoe. They are well made and super comfortable. The black on the heel wears off and shows another color after over over a year's worth of wear.

One of the more attractive orthopedic styles. Very comfortable footbed, other than the toebox feeling too short for my long toes. If other reviewers haven't had the same problem, perhaps my feet have stretched since I last ordered from Zappos.

These felt soft and comfortable right out of the box and the velcro seems to be strong. It's still winter here, so I haven't worn them outside yet, so I can't offer more than that.

These would have been the shoes for me if I hadn't gone shopping locally. Better arch support than most of the shoes I have tried but there still is not enough cushioning. Better than most, but I somehow found something better in a local foot friendly shop. It is a style of Dansko that I cannot find online anywhere. I will keep this brand in mind for the next time I need shoes.

These are comfortable and nice looking. I got the medium width, I thought that I might need wide but they were plenty wide enough. They feel pretty true to size maybe slightly larger. They have a nice heel height.

Wonderful cushioned footbed made with New Balance technology. Cool updated mary jane style. However, the shoe is loose on my 10.5 narrow feet. I will end up wearing them with trousers and socks, which is not what I had in mind.

I have a narrow foot and these were simply too big for my feet even in a narrow. I loved the roomy toebox but couldn't wear them. A bit clog-like as well as someone else noted. I wish they had worked because I think Aravons are superior is many ways.

Cute, comfortable shoes with good support. Only area I'm not really happy with is the toe space - so much room that my toes end up rubbing against the top and getting chafed sometimes.
