The No Fade Black runs a full size small than the other colors.

These are such fantastic work jeans, but the sizing is so odd. I’m normally a 27 in jeans, but have narrow hips and no waist to hip definition. I bought the 4 and they were so tight in the waist, a little tight in the thighs, and perfect everywhere else, with the caveat that these are not skinny jeans; they’re more straight fit. I’m hoping that sizing up to a 6 works, and hoping the leg doesn’t become too wide.

Incredible pair of work pants! Durable, high quality with multiple pockets for tools. The fit is great with a decent amount of stretch that makes them very comfortable & figure flattering! I’ve already purchased a 2nd pair.

These were my first pants from Dovetail, and I made sure to snag another pair before they are discontinued! They really hold up against the grime and abrasions found on construction sites, and still look cool outside of work. Truly my most complimented and well loved pants.

The heathered black maven slim was first first dovetail crush back in 2020 when I was a size 14. Now at size 22 I was heartbroken to be limited to certain extended sizes. Dont get me wrong I love my thermals and task pants and ripstops, but ALAS!!! Enter the ReTooled sizing... I took a leap of faith on the retooled sizing, checking the sizing charts again and again, and measuring myself again and again. Today I opened the package and pulled these babies on and they fit like a glove... thank you Dovetail crew!!!

I have a couple pairs I started with a few years ago. Most use is in field of pyrotechnics (stage black required) and DIY home reno, occasional mechanic shop use. Theres no reason for me to own any other pants. Id like to try heather and thermal but theyre pricey and I know what works. These have stayed pitch black, the first thing to wear is the front pockets (after a couple years) and the front button blows out the first few washes. Theyre durable, provide freedom of movement and make me feel great. The weight of the material is nice and noticeably heavy upon arrival. So I bought a couple more pairs to wear while I repair the pockets on the old ones. The new stitching for the phone pocket was odd and had to cut it out. Theres a dividing stitch in the pockets above it for pens and such but the stitching went all the way through so couldnt fit a phone in. Not sure if thats a new thing or a QC issue. Obviously Id love it if they were cheaper or free shipping or something but Ill keep buying them for sure. I love them and Im willing to save up to get them and the coveralls for work.

Pretty sad these are being discontinued, but Im sure Ill love the Maven X maybe even more. These are the first Dovetails I owned, the ones that got me hooked. Had to snag a pair before theyre gone!

Very sturdy. Does not have much give when moving around, so order with a little extra room. True to size, but snug. I am 5'4, 145 lbs. I am a 38 in hip and 32 waist with a 28 inch inseam. I ordered a size 4 with a 28" in seam. A bit to snug and a bit too short for my liking. I will try a size 6 with a 30 in inseam.

The rinse fades fast. Durability is middle of the road. The pant legs and leg openings have been made much wider! For the fit of a skinnier jean, I was happy to look beyond the high rise and the rest of the fit flaws (and the bottom-less ride side tool pocket). Now they just feel too loose and relaxed I won't be buying these again. What a bummer.

I have other Mavens that fit tighter. This one fits like a Straight Leg where other fit like a skinny jean. I thought this was going to be another tighter fit looking at the photo of the girl kneeling on the website. Pleasantly surprised and happy with my purchase. A different phot would have been a 5-star.

These pants are incredible!! Favorite pants ever! Run a little tight at the waist but still love them! Will buy many more!

These pants are what Ive been looking for! Love the pockets, fits like a GL or other than being a little tight at the waist. So glad I found dovetail and will only be buying pants from here from now on!

Whats up with the sizing? I have this same style in Black, and the 6 fits perfectly. I tried the Heathered Black in a 6 and in an 8, but both were too tight. I returned them after the 8s didnt work out. Not worth a third exchange. The sizing of shouldnt be so drastically different from pair to pair in the same style.

Love these so so much! The only thing I would change is the waistline. A high waist would be more comfortable when working.

Love the fit and material! I have six other pairs of Dovetail pants for work as a owner of a plumbing company but the Maven are for going out. Their a great style and I want to keep this pair clean lol

Love these pants for work on the jobsite. As a male looking for skinny jeans, these are the best option.

I wish they had a little more stretch to them. The waist is also too tight for being so loose around the pelvic area and the thighs are pretty tight too. Size 6 is too big for me and this size 4 that I bought is pretty tight, but not enough for me to size up. Its like too tight around waist band, too loose around pelvic area, then too tight through thighs, but just right in the calves lol. Just wish they had a more give around the waist band and thighs. Other than that I like the style, color, and the way they look on me.

Love. Comfort and functionality blow my mind. I put my clothes through the ringer at work. Long lasting. Will probably keep buying more as needed.

I wasn't sure how these slim jeans would look on a curvier body, but they fit amazing! They have a nice stretch that keeps them tight fitting without being restrictive. Highly recommend!

I love the thick fabric and the fit. Wish they had this item in a 36length. Overall, these work jeans are what I need for my profession! The pockets are the right size - this is great for my tools and phone!
