no ice or snow yet, so i'm really hoping these shoes are good in that respect, because that's the reason that i bought them (i already have the clogs without the arctic sole, and the clogs are fantastic). orherwise, these shoes are great. they're shoes, not clogs, so they start out a bit hard to get on, but will become easier soon, so don't let that deter you. i'm glad bean decided against the dumb baby blue part for these shoes - i mean, really, who wants baby blue on their shoes?! these are very durable and stable shoes, they're true to size, and they fit well. i look forward to seeing if the soles sre good in the snow and ice of wisconsin.

I was disappointed as I was expecting this pair of Storm Chaser Slip-Ons to be of the same quality and comfort as the pair I bought many years ago. One of the insoles did not fit correctly - it was too long and curled at the toe so I replaced the insoles with another pair. As mentioned in several reviews, the opening is small. I have a narrow foot so it is not a problem for me. Despite the imperfections, I do not regret my purchase.

Slightly hard to get on (as a slip on often is), but warm, good traction and good arch support. The toe box is roomy, which I like. The lining in my first pair seemed improperly sewn as a "lump" in the heel gave me a serious blister pretty quickly. The replacement pair had the same issue (both the left shoe) so not sure if an unlucky coincidence or a feature of the shoe. I'm getting discouraged with Bean's footwear as construction quality seems vary so much.

While this is probably a great winter shoe, I found the toe box to be very tight. Additionally the shoe runs narrow. I would suggest sizing up at least 1/2 size

Too bad these shoes have changed so much over the years. I love my old pair but they definitely are NOT the same. These were too hard to get on and were too small all the way around. Sent them back.

I couldn't get them on without a shoe horn. They were heavy on my feet and felt like weights. I sent them back. I like the less aggressive styling from 20 years ago better.

Unfortunately, I'm returning so can't really rate comfort, etc. They are just too hard to get on and off. I love the soles as they are truly non-slip, but I wanted a shoe I could easily pull on and go. Not struggle.

The description of this shoe was exactly what I wanted. However, when it arrived, it was not a slip on shoe at all. It was almost impossible to get my foot in it. Once I managed, it fit perfectly. I sent it back because a slip on shoe should be much easier, especially for this price. There is a need to make it softer.

These were really hard to get into. I could picture folks with any issues with their hands not being able to put these on. Once on, they were actually quite comfortable. They felt supportive and cushy but I returned them because of how difficult they are to put on and that they felt very clunky and I was looking for something to take winter walks in. I found an LLBean light weight winter shoe boot instead that I'm LOVING. Went for my first cool weather hike and my feet were so cozy and comfortable.

This shoe was what I was looking for EXCEPT it was very difficult to get on. I struggled to get them on and blamed myself since I have MS. I found that my brother-in-law, who is very fit, has the same shoe with the same problem. Great shoe, VERY comfortable once on, and wore them for hours. IF only the opening was bigger and they were more of a slip on.

I bought them because they were in black and looked like an updated version of my brown item ID 200490. The grips on the bottom of the shoe are more raised and detailed than the ones I have, but react about the same. They are warm. I need to use a shoehorn to get my foot into them, because the opening is narrow. The width and length of the shoe is fine. Because they are black, the detail of the shoe is not really seen. Even the LL Bean logo is hard to read. Only the word Vibram is easily readable. They are not stylish when worn. The material on the top that surrounds the ankle looks like a sweater that is piling.

Cannot even get my foot in, and I always wear a perfect size 10 in LLBean shoes. I wanted it to fit but top part is too inflexible. I'll go back to my tie tops I guess! These are pretty though.....

I have purchased many boots from LLBean which were true to size. The fit on these were much wider and bigger. I buy boot type shoes a half size larger to accomodate heavy socks but even with heavy wool socks these slipped off the heel and felt more like snow shoes! They are heavy and large lug sole which is great for heavy snow or icy walkways. I Sell Real Estate in the mountains and need something that slips on and off easily at each property I show. I may reorder these in a half size smaller and give them one more try because they do have a nice look, attractive enough for semi-business mountain girl attire.

the boots were fine except they were too narrow. Bean needs to offer more wide widths in womens footwear.

top reason I ordered was for traction on ice. foot is still swollen from surgery so I can't get into left shoe yet, but they're very hard to get into anyway with the narrow opening...I do have small feet, but the traction is great!

I love everything about this show but I can't get them on. I wear a size 10 and literally cannot get my foot in the opening, it's way too small. Am sending back. I've had the mocs for years and wanted to get a waterproof shoe to slip on for dog walking. These do not easily slip on. Way too much effort just to put on a pair of shoes. Please fix this so that they are more flexible around the opening for easier slide on / off. I still love LL Bean.

The opening is much too small, and I was not able to get my feet in these shoes. Overall, I know they would have fit, but it would have been an impossible and painful struggle. I wish the opening was similar to the Bean moccasins; easy and not a challenge. Very disappointing.

Shoe looks great but the opening to get my foot into it was too small, so I could never put it on! And my feet are normal size!

I have ordered from Bean for years and thought this winter boot would be great for winter weather. Looks like it is made well, but the boot was so stiff I could not even get my foot into it without a lot of help from a shoehorn. It was very stiff and did not feel like it was just a matter of "breaking it in". Very uncomfortable! Disappointed and it is returned.

I had great difficulty fitting my feet into the boots. The opening is small and stiff and does not give much. I have two replacement knees which hurt when I tried to get my feet into the boots. When I finally got my feet into the boots, they fit well for the size I purchased. I returned the boots and received a no-questions, full refund.

I had high hopes about this winter boot. Nice looking and looks like quality materials. I could not get the boot on my foot without strong assistance from a metal shoehorn. There is no way I could begin to get on the boot without it. Once on it was too small anyway. Back it goes and will not reorder this boot.

Storm Chaser Slip-On Arctic Grip Shoe They seemed to lose their grip within a couple times of wearing. They are comfortable but I feel no confidence in walking now. Too expensive for performance.

It was way too hard just to get my foot in to these. I knew I'd never put up with that every day. Once on, they slipped at the heel. They were returned within a week.
