These are for heavy wide feet; not mine. Well made. Good materials. Great heavy grippy sole. Sport shoe style will be good for the right feet.

I just bought my second pair of these snow sneakers. They are warm, comfortable and great for walking in the very cold weather with snow and ice on the ground. I absolutely love them!

These provide a good grip on icy ground. They are warm and comfortable with a roomy toe box. These are my second pair. I hope Bean keeps making them.

I purchased these shoes for the PrimaLoft insulation, as I wanted to be able to take walks in the cold weather, and my toes are vulnerable to the cold. However, I don't think the shoes should be called "Sneakers," which to me indicates an athletic walking shoe, and these shoes are pretty stiff. They turned out later on to be great for walking in cold weather, but my advice is to break them in slowly, maybe a half mile at a time. Also, they come up a bit high, hitting my ankle bones, so I place some padding in my socks there to take care of it, and they're fine. At least now I can walk outdoors in the winter thanks to PrimaLoft.

I absolutely love these Snow Sneakers. The traction is heavy duty. I previously purchased Adults Stabilicers Bean Traxx Traction Device (ICE CLEATS) and they work great on icy conditions. However, on the days when there was just alittle snow on the ground I needed something without ice cleats but at the same time had good traction. These did the trick. I feel more stable when I'm wearing these. I'd rather pay for good stable shoes now than for a possible broken hip later

These shoes are really good for snowy and icy conditions. They look better than my stabilizers attached to boots, but they are not exactly flattering. Perhaps L.L.Bean could design a shoe with "Artic Grip" that is more stylish for women who want to look nice and also be safer walking in the winter.

I love these boots. Warm and comfortable. The studs in the bottom seem to work good on slippery surfaces. I got my husband to buy the men's boots just like these.

These were very comfortable but had to return only because I had previously broke my ankle and these rubbed on that area. These would great if it wasn't for that.

This is my third pair of these shoes. I bought them for the ice grip soles but wear them all the time because they are warm as well as keeping me safe when walking. Plus, I have narrow feet and I can lace these shoes tightly enough that my feet don't slide around.

This is the 2nd pair of snow sneakers I have purchased. I wear them for curling and when coaching youth hockey games. They keep my feet warm even when standing on ice and provide much better traction then boots that I've tried. I would recommend these shoes for any outside activity that doesn't involve deep snow.

These are awesome. So warm, comfortable and good support. I have Achille tendinitis and these do the trick. I have a very narrow foot and they snug up great. So happy with them

I have been wearing these on my fall walks to break them in mainly for winter walking use. I was worried that they would be uncomfortable based on other reviews. I do have bunions, and sometimes hiking boots have been downright painful. I wear a size 8.5 M shoe, so I purchased the size 9 boot to accommodate socks. I wear them with the Katahdin Hiker socks - men's size M actually, and this is the PERFECT combination for comfort. I haven't felt like I am "breaking them in" at all. With these socks, there is no rubbing around the ankles, at least not for me. And there is no discomfort with the bunions rubbing, which can be a problem sometimes. If I wanted to wear my rag wool socks, I would probably need a 9.5 as I tried it and it's too snug with the 9. Hope this helps!

Poor SupportGreat Support
I always would like more arch and ankle support. These are a bit stiff, but they do the job and look the part. The heel inside does wear out from friction.
I'd also recommend:

I always miss wearing my sneakers in the winter, but the temps are just too cold. Enter the snow sneaker - the perfect solution to tall boots when it hasn't snowed recently and everything is shoveled and plowed. They keep my feet toasty warm and dry, and they look cute too. Love them!
