They're sitting in the closet. We had less than a quarter inch of snow this year, so where was I so wear them? When I try them next year, I hope to tell you more.

Too narrow. Thought I could make them work with inserts but no luck. The rigid rubber toe box rubs the side of the inner part of my foot while my heel is too loose.

I have flat feet and hard to fit. They were tight in the toe and loose in heel. Returned. Look like nice boots though. Wished they fit.

Although the shoe is comfortable and warm, the "Artic Grip" traction aid does not preform as advertised. I think it makes the shoe slip more than a smooth leather soled shoe on icy surfaces.

I live in Minnesota and we have lots of ice and snow. Shoes like this are my daily choice all winter from mid November into April. I had been wearing Keens before but they have been discontinued and I got these. I like the fit, I like how the top is essentially sealed against snow intrusion with the cuff at the top. I like the waterproofed shoe upper and they are comfortable. That said, the "Arctic Grip" is a joke. It's marginally better on ice than standard Vibram soles which are terrible because of the deep tread with less surface area and hard rubber. These are better than that but I'd say they are no more than 5 to a max of 10% better than others winter shoes on ice. This sole is not worth the extra $40 over the non Arctic Grip sole. I actually have a very hard time writing "Arctic Grip" without rolling my eyes. The thing is a joke and LL Bean ought to get at most $5 extra for it or just keep the regular shoe. Watch for this to go away in the future. So I went outside with this today. We had a freezing rain so I have a 20' patch of smooth ice on my concrete driveway. Took a bit of a running start and did the two footed slide thing for a good 10' or so - just like with regular boots. I don't think I have seen anything hyped so much that provided so little benefit in a long time. This Arctic Grip thing (eyes just rolled) is pretty much snake oil. Buy the regular version of these shoes. They're nice and should serve you well. This? It's nonsense.

I like the design of this boot. It's what I was looking for. Quality of construction is very good. Unfortunately it only comes in a medium width which is too narrow for my foot. I've been trying to get this boot to work for me but it's killing my feet. I'm about to give up and send it back.

The arctic grip soles are great and really grip on ice. Fit on one foot is too loose because one foot is a little shorter than the other. But the fit is tolerable.

This was too small for me at 10.5" Even though I tried these on inside, I felt the toe rocker was odd. Maybe this is for walking in the snow. I will be sending these back for size 11.

Bought for my husband as a gift. He has a terrible time getting them on - the top opening is too tight. He kept them, because he likes how durable they seem, but I would get the ones that tie up instead.

I returned size 11 for 10 1/2 which seems narrower and very tight with heavy woolen socks. But my complaint is that they are not waterproof. Water, moisture seeps through the mesh and into your socks. They are not suited for rain or snow - only for cleared snow.

I purchased the Storm Chaser slip-on's to replace my current pair, which I love, but have worn out. The product description said "updated fit", but the reviews didn't mention that the fit has gotten narrower. I normally take a wide shoe, but these were too narrow, and I had to return them. The length was fine, and to go up another size they would have been too long. Unfortunately, they are only offered in a medium width, so I am out of luck for now.

I have used these shoes for two months now and have gone through a North Dakota cold spell (some days with a high of -10F). I have had warmer shoes for less money. And I have slipped on snow covered ice and wet ice. Although if they did stop me from slipping I was not aware of it and thus did not know that they were doing their job. For the $139 that I paid for them, I feel they are overpriced for their average warmth and supposed slip resistance. Would not recommend at full price.

Only got 7 years out them. Really only wore them on snow days cleaning the driveway. I was hoping to get at least 10 years to life.

Not as much grip on snow and ice as the name would imply.

Poor fit. Tried size 10 and 10.5. The 10 was too tight and the 10.5 slipped a lot when walking.

Things never stay the same. Really wanted to purchase my 5th pair of insulated Mocs with Artic grip soles. For some unknown reason LL Bean dropped the line and consequently lost my immediate following. They always tend to run out of stock or sizes of the alternative too. I had to purchase something I didn't really like and that item turned out to be too narrow because it was made of rubber.

My wife bought these for me. The label says 10, which I've worn all my life but, these are actually 9 1/2. Why do you do this?

I only wear these shoes in my own back yard so I don't track grass clippings etc. into the house. The left shoe has been leaking. It soaks a lot of moisture in just from walking around in short, dew-coated grass. It looks like there is a separation along the right side of the left shoe where two different materials meet. I have always been pleased with quality of LL Bean items so I never expected a signature product like this would be so disappointing.

Great sole but poorly insulated in the toes. Even at 30 above the rubber gets cold and there is virtually no insulation to keep the cold from transferring to your toes. Unfortunate because cold winter shoes are of little use. I am not inclined to cold feet. These are unacceptably cold, even with wool socks.
