My husband has been very happy with these waterproof shoes and the good grip they have on ice and snow. Great for that in-between weather of snow and slush!

I purchased these to wear during the winter when it's cold, but boots aren't needed. WOW!!! These are perfect for cold winter days, and they even work great with a few inches of snow. I couldn't be happier. My feet stay warm and dry for the entire day. I'm going to buy a second pair in black.

Great for traction in snowy and icy apres ski locations in Colorado, Itah and Montana ski resorts!

Comfortable, good fit and just what I wanted.

This is the second pair of these boots I've botten for my husband. He wears them 90% of the time on our cattle ranch. They are lightweight, warm and easy to get on. They have a good grip on the ground so he won't slip. The only time he wears anything else in the winter is if the mud is deep.

They were a gift, he is thrilled with them. The tread is great, nice quality boots!

Needed something to use when walking my dog in the winter months. It has only been icy a couple of times so far but I have been pleasantly surprised that they seem to grip pretty good on ice. Nice! I think they are sized just a little large to allow for heavy winter socks which made them perfect for me. Only negative is that they are a little stiff but that may get better as they break in.

They have great grip and are perfect for slipping on to go out and fill the bird feeders, but are too low for dealing with a substantial amount of snow.

They are the best!!! I call them my magic boots!!! They do help me keep from falling!!!

Great shoe once you get it on. Hard to put on for slip ons, but great non slip and warm on your feet. My wife has a pair of women's and loves them!

A gift for my husband. He loves them. He couldn't wear the LLBean boot moccasins, as he kept turning his foot & worried he'd injure his ankle. We haven't had much inclement weather but he wears them everyday.

Usually, I wear a wide shoe. But this slip-on winter shoe not only kept my feet warm, but was comfortable for day-long wear. It was easy to slip on without having to bend over to make it fit or use my finger or shoe horn to help.

Winter arrived early this year, and I was so glad I purchased these shoes. They are absolutely perfect.Easy on and off. 100% waterproof and their grip is excellent. The best slip-ons I have ever had.

The shoes fit great, they are very warm. We get a lot of sleet and snow where I live and these are wonderful on ice. I am always afraid of falling. These shoes really do provide a good traction on pure wet ice. They are the best winter shoes I have ever had. They are definitely worth the money. I went into a LL Bean store to select them. They were true to my size.

I heard about Vibram's Arctic Grip soles a couple of years ago and my initial thoughts were that it may be a marketing scam (glass in the soles!). Tired of falling on my keister in Upstate NY winters, I tried a pair of shoes with Arctic Grips soles from a different manufacturer (begins with and M and rhymes with Carroll). The soles were unbelievable! No more falls! The shoes advertised as waterproof were another story. My feet would get sopping wet in no time at all. Got these LL Beans's this year and they are great. Still not falling and my feet stay dry. This was my first pair of slip ons. Took some getting used to, but I really am enjoying not having to tie my shoes.

The 'Arctic Grip' shoes are exactly as advertised. They are easy to put on and remove. Primarily, they provide great traction! Excellent footwear for us Northerners...especially the senior ones. Recommend getting a half size larger to allow for wearing of heavy socks in really cold conditions.

Great boot for winter and particularly good for the days after a big storm when can be icy and wet snow is everywhere. The Arctic Grip soles are very good.

Lot's to discuss after use on ice but first the other important facts. The shoes are made extremely well and very comfortable after a short 20 minute break in. The size and width are accurate. They are easy to slip on and surprisingly quiet while walking. They have some weight to them but by no means a negative. The materials used in construction are superb and durable. I see a couple of review comments concerning performance and warmth that may be a concern. The shoes could be just a tad warmer but your feet will not be annoying chilly even in single digit temps. I say this with actual experience using non thermal socks. Next is that the grip on ice is better than any other shoe I have tried but not absolutely slip proof. This is only evident on thin frozen "clear black ice" which is disappointing personally because that is the most dangerous ice condition. Since I am not one to put on any type of spikes I will simply be careful on extremely dangerous and slippery ice since it usually is short lived. Bottom line, it's a great shoe and at a perfect height for increased versatility. It is very comfortable everywhere including the ankle area which is important as you know. Falling on ice can cause major injury and this is a definite upgrade in protecting yourself. Is it worth the cost? I think most would say yes and I am satisfied with this purchase. Maybe it's time to get a better grip on life, yours! I sincerely hope this accurate review helps with your decision. :))

Wow!! From the first moment I slipped these on I have been totally satisfied with this purchase. It snowed the following day, and my fear of slipping and falling is gone!! Warm, comfortable and trustworthy!! Way to go, LL Bean!!!

Been wearing them in this arctic weather and a lot of snow, ice and slush and they perform great, just as advertised. Very comfortable after a few wears and really easy on/off. My new go to boot. Liked them so much I bought the high ones too.

I just wore my Storm Chasers (with Arctic Grip) in my first snow storm and they performed MAGNIFICENTLY. My tootsies were warm, dry and very comfortable. These boots are almost as light as summer sneakers, and the new Arctic Grip lives up to its billing. THE PERFECT WINTER SHOE.
