I love the look and comfort of these shoes, but this particular pair fell short in that the right shoe doesn't give the support for which my podiatrist recommended them.

I buy 860s regularly and the 12 is very light on cushioning - VERY light. I would return them but I already wore them outside. I always use inserts but those are for stability not cushioning. These shoes feel like they've already been used for a year. - the soles feel hard.

I ordered the same shoe as before, but these are a different style. The fit is not as good, I am disappointed. Also, the shoes laces are many inches shorter than my previous pairs. I can barely get them tied with the shoe string so much shorter. Perhaps this is a cost saving strategy like so many other products. I ordered two of the same style, both are deficit.

I still have my V11's and while they are wearing out they are more comfortable than the brand new V12's. Whatever they did between the versions was not an improvement. Please go back to the previous version!

Love the color teal. I always buy New Balance shoes, this time the fresh foam 860 is terrible! My feet hurt so bad when I wear them. They changed the material, no arch support and the toe box is to short and not wide enough. Go back a few years when the shoes were comfortable.

I really wanted to love this shoe! The color and the styling are outstanding. I wanted a nice sporty looking shoe with good stability for wearing every day. The description given on the website is "a supportive medial post to provide essential stability." This shoe does not give the sense of stability. Both of my feet and ankles felt like the were rolling inward with each step. I wore them for a short time in the house and during that time my right hip and right lower back started hurting from the strange positioning of my foot. I removed the shoes and donned my trusty 990v5s and the pain disappeared. I wish that New Balance would apply some of the beautiful styling of the 860 to the 990.

I run 4 miles about 4 times a week - not a marathon runner. For a long time Ive worn the 1080s but wanted to try the 860's to help my pronation. Unfortunately these didnt work out for me. They helped greatly in correcting my stability but after two runs my knees were hurting. Looks like I am going back to the 1080s and selling these.

I already upsize one size when running, but you need 1.5 for this shoe. Heavier and more stable then previous model. Im still waiting for NB to reinstate the 860V10. Why do you stop? Going to make this work for now.

I like the shoes, but was disappointed that on the right shoulder, one of the appliqu on the front of the shoe is already coming off.

I have been wearing the 860 for three years. They were recommended after I went through a foot analysis. I loved them and have ordered at least two pair per year. I could run on the road and they were comfortable on the treadmill. I have worn out five pair. I ordered the v.12 and SO MUCH HAS CHANGED. Not comfortable for my footbed - not nearly as soft as they used to be. The padded, curved heel is gone. I love the color - I'll keep them for walking and everyday wear. But I guess I'm headed back to the shoe store.

I love the NB 860 stability running shoes & have been using them since 2013. I noticed that many reviews for the v11 mentioned that the toe area was getting smaller, but I noticed no difference in the v11 on my feet. However, the v12 definitely has a smaller toe area & it's just so disappointing. It's too much trouble to return them & I don't know what I would buy in their place, but why would you change the size of the toe area of your shoes? I am hoping you will see the reviews & go back to the older pattern & size for the toe area of these shoes!

I am an avid walker and put in many miles. The first time I used this shoe, I went through 5 pairs in 5 months training and participating in the 3 day, 60 mile walk for breast cancer from San Jose to San Francisco. I have been wearing the 860 series for over 20 years. No matter the version, I have always worn a 6.5 wide. The V12 version is narrower in the toe box and now I will have to order the extra wide. This is the first time I have seen this width available. Probably needed because of the new shoe design. When these changes are made, the buyer should be alerted to this issue at the time of purchase. Would make this process simpler.

I was trying to duplicate my beloved 860 v9 and was told these would. They fell short for me. Just didn't seem to have the stability and felt stiff.m

I wanted to love these shoes. Color is great, a nice teal. I was totally looking forward to how comfortable my new pair of new balance usually are. Not true with this pair!! The newer pointed toe box is not comfortable at all! I tried wearing them just a little. I ordered them because they are the shoes my podiatrist highly recommended. But they hurt, especially around my toes!! Disappointed!! Why is toe box so narrow on these shoes? Definitely not a good fit or comfort improvements? Unfortunately, I now have a brand new beautiful pair of shoes I can never wear. Spent full price one these but can't wear them, not even around the house. Don't recommend this style to walkers or people on their feet all day.

I liked the appearance of the shoe. I had worn the same size and width in the same shoe before. But after wearing for almost a day, I could feel the tightness on the sides and top of my feet. I had the same problem with the 840 shoe and had to return them as well.

So disappointed when I got them. Did not fit. I even bought up 1/2 size. I have asked around now to people who buy this brand and it seems to be known they run small. Fortunately, I found a store who let me exchange them. I hate to mail return items.

And the first pair to cause discomfort. Big disappointment after 3hrs of wear my bunion started burning from the top fabric. Bought wide width and half size larger as always. First pair of New Balance that are so uncomfortable.

I was so excited about these shoes because I LOVED my old New Balance tennis shoes. These are super cute, but they lack in support and overall comfort. Very disappointed in quality for the price.

These are nice shoes, but I've had knee replacement, and have been wearing your 928v3 version for years. They have a rollbar and absorb technology, which works great for my knees. Now I can't seem to order the 928 shoes anymore, so I tried the 860 just to see. They feel fine while I wear them, but the next day or two my knees are super sore. PLEASE BRING BACK THE 928v3!!! With the rollbar!!!

These felt really great and comfortable at first, but walking around my feet slid forward and my toes hit the front where there is little (no?) padding. They were the right size, not sure why this happened. I returned them. I'm sorry because I really like this style and have worn them for several years. I feel like the width (in medium at least) has changed in recent years and maybe these are too wide now? Or too wide in the wrong place? Not sure what accounts for the sliding. I tried different lacing, but that didn't helpToo bad!
