This was my second pair of NB. I purchased the same model last fall while on holidays and really liked them. I find these to be very different. I am finding them much narrower and shorter in the toe box as well as the laces are way too short. I am a size 10 regular width. They are just okay. I am disappointed as they were not inexpensive.

Ok. Preferred Brooks ghost for sleeker look in casual all black shoe. Prefer shape style of 880's to these 860's.

Hello I am a long time New Balance customer and have always been a regular width size 7. I ordered these shoes on line and had to return them because the toe area was too narrow and the fabric was pinching my foot. Otherwise, seemed like a good lightweight running shoe but I did not get to try it out due to poor fit.

This is my 3rd pair of New Balance 860 sneakers. The fit on this particular pair is not as comfortable as my previous ones. My left foot just fits too snugly. I do love the color, dark aqua.

The toe box seems a bit more narrow and the shoe laces are definitely shorter than the previous editions of this model. It seems as if they may be skimping to up profit. Otherwise I'm happy enough with my purchase.

Love that the counters don't have that material in them that breaks and crackles !! I wear this particular shoe because their comfy and it fit my AFO brace perfectly

Miss the old material around the cuff from last years shoes. Don't find this pair as comfortable. Have been getting the 860 for years. 1st time I've not found them to fit perfectly and comfortable.

I have worn the 860 for years and have another pair of 860 v12 in my rotation of running shoes currently. This pair feels like the arch is further back. I have ran about 30 miles in them and they have become to painful to wear. Hoping this is just fluke because I hate trying to find new shoes that work.

the salesperson was very helpful. I had to exchange one pair of wide sneakers for 2E of the same sneaker. However, I was a little disappointed that the colors for 2E sneakers, stlye #860 was limited to light green, no black, gray, or any other neutral color. A Alvisi

Great shoes BUT NOW, THIN. LIGHTWEIGHT, FLIMSY and CHEAP laces replacing the original laces!!! Come on,,,,,;;, provide the quality product that I've been buying for years.

Beautiful colour and comfortable shoe but the quality appears not to be the same as my previous purchases. The shoes laces are short and slippery, not the usual long and stretchy kind that are part of my old shoes.

These are typically my go to running shoes. This version feels different. The toe box seems slightly smaller or different. The shoe strings are too short to adequately tie the shoes. I have had to replace them to be able to do a double tie and have them secure across my feet.

I have been able to purchase this model of shoe in my size 6.5 wide for years without issue, but this year it fits shorter and I had to return. My last years purchase fits perfectly. I won't purchase online again for that reason. Need to physically try on to get the right fit.

I purchased the newer 1080 fresh foam in a New Balance store and thought I would try these since they were on clearance. It is.not as comfortable as the 1080 which has a.larger toe box- but for basic walking it's probably fine for most. I happen to have arthritis in my feet and have to wear comfortable for all day wear. I bought the Extra Wide and is not as wide as the Wide in the 1080.

I wanted to love these shoes but after I wore them for a while, my bit toe started to hurt (Arthritis) but more than that, Plantar Fasciitis started to act up in my other heel! Until then, it had been present only in my right heel. I quickly put them back into the box and knew I had to move on. It's tough; I thank Zappo's for their wonderful return policy as I try pair after pair of shoes. I am unable to go to an actual shoe store so I came to Zappo's who actually give me better service than most local shoe stores!

For the amount of money these shoes cost, you have really been cheap on the laces. I've never had an issue with shoelace length in NB shoes. I've been a customer for 20 years. What is going on? Can I get a replacement set of longer laces?

I have always for about 40 years run in NB but lately either the 9 is too big and the 8 .5 too Wide. Now this last 860 announces that I am on my way! Not happy at all!

yes, I purchased the shoes for my wife, she loves the color and style however, one shoe doesn't fit as well as the other so, she plans to wear them and see if it will work it's self out but not sure at this time.
