For this purchase I got a half a size larger than my size, expecting the shoe to be longer since I need more room for my big toes. I was disappointed that the shoe box is wider but not longer. My big toe still doesn't have enough room. Other than that, the shoe is comfortable and supportive.

I've been purchasing the NB 860 since 2011. The last version that was properly cushioned and sized was the Version 7 (V7). I've purchased several versions since the V7 and end up giving to Goodwill. The last version purchased in August 2022 (V12) is going to Goodwill. Not comfortable at all. Not as cushioned and narrow toe box. I'll keep wearing my V7, that are very worn, as very comfortable. Why change a good thing?

This is the first time that I feel that the sizing has changed. I ordered wide but the shoes are very narrow. I also feel like they are shorter. I have always ordered online. I guess I'll have to find a store the next time so that I can try them on first.

I'm so sad. I've worn 860's for years and ordered the new version 12. The toe box is significantly smaller. I held it next to my 11's and the 12's toe box is much lower from top to bottom. I usually wear 7.5 shoes and order up a half size in running shoes to give my toes room to move. The 8 doesn't work. I don't plan to go up another half size to an 8 1/2 because the toe box shape would still be a problem. Hope they get it right next year.

These extra wide shoes are not as comfortably wide as my other EE New Balance shoes.

It was too tight. I usually take a woman's size 9 or 9 1/2 in shoes. For sneakers I have found that even the Women's size 9 1/2 is too tight, and the 10s are too long, no matter what brand I try. I ordered these in Women's size 9 1/2. These were too tight, too. I am going to return pairs, and order them a half size larger if I can.
I'd also recommend:
Asics, Nike

I needed new shoes for walking and had liked the 860v10 very much. This shoe--the v 12--is too squishy for me and I don't fee that it fits as closely to my foot as the 10. I loved the support I had in th e10 and liked the LESS giving structure. I miss that stability and security.

Shoe is fine. The insole is too hard. No cushion to it. It's like walking on concrete barefooted. Too stiff to run. NB will not replace the insole so shoes will go back.

I've been wearing the New Balance 860 for four years and across several models. They've really helped correct my stride and address knee pain and all the pairs I've had are comfortable and supportive. For that reason, I'll consider continuing to purchase them, but for the price point, the durability of the fabric on the top of the shoe for the newer V12 model is pretty mediocre. I've now owned two different pairs of the V12 in two colors and both looked worn pretty quickly and stain very easily. The second pair I purchased about two months ago already has some minor tears, and general pilling of the fabric after about 2 months. I use them all the time, but only for walking, and they look much more worn than the old V10 model sitting in my closet that I wore regularly for 18 months.

Not as much cushioning in the toe box that I would like. The heal area is very comfortable.

I wanted to love these New Balance 860v12's. They are the perfect color, the perfect fit and they were so comfortable. However, these are designed for someone who overpronates. I need a neutral pair of shoes and these would be uncomfortable for me because of this design. Please make this exact shoe in a neutral design for those of us who need a wide toe box. I have tried so many brands and styles and these would have been perfect if not for the outer heel of the shoe being higher on the inner portion of the heel and lower on the outer portion of the heel to accommodate overpronation. So far, I have not found a pair of athletic shoes that will work for me that are black/black, have a squarish toe, a narrow heel and are neutral. I am still hoping that I will find them some day.

I got these because I like New Balance sneakers and was told this model has a wide toe box.....which it does. The write up stresses the comfort with the fresh foam insoles. There's not enough foam or cushioning to make this a comfortable fit. I am returning them.

These were not very comfortable. New Balance is typically my "go to" sneaker, but the Fresh Foam line is not very comfortable for me. I will have to search in new balance to find non-fresh foam shoes.

Mostly for walking. Have been buying NB for many years and love them, especially since they come in wider fit for women. This shoe feels a bit uncomfortable, and not sure why. They have the extra ankle support, and not sure if that has anything to do with it. I will continue wearing them to see if they loosen up a bit.

So Disappointed with 860 12 .Although I have bought the 860 for over 10 years and normal width was comfortable , this yr even the wide width is tight.

I've been wearing the same size new balance for years. These run short! I wasn't aware of the problem until I got on the treadmill today. They're brand new and I'm stuck with them.
