perfect for my wide, high arch foot. i have plenty of room for my orthodics. I keep coming back to new balance, wish they made a dress shoe!

Good fit and feel.

The previous shoe owned was 840v4. Since it was not available the 840v5 was ordered. It was too short in length. Sometimes when a new shoe is introduced the shoe manufacturer changes the last. The 840v4 fit fine.

Haven’t ordered shoes online for a couple years. So glad I did. These shoes are perfect in every way.

Wasn't quite sure as to fit and comfort but as wear continues, sneaker gets more and more comfortable making longer walks enjoyable for my finicky feet. Toe box is super good. Perhaps a little more in the arch support would make it perfect.

I have worn NB for several years. This size 12 runs small.

Excellent fit and comfort from the moment I put them on.

Disappointed. I have always worn a NB extra wide sneaker. The last pair I purchased 4 years ago was the best, and most comfortable sneaker I've ever owned. They were a hard act to follow! This pair is okay,,, but,,, not as comfortable as my las pair.

I have been wearing New Balance 840’s for years. This bright blue color is the most interesting one so far. Lots of compliments.

Quick delivery and good packaging, as always. Fit was not as comfortable as other New Balance I've had, in the PAST. Good looking shoe, but is hard all around. Will not bother trying 1/2 size larger. Still in pursuit of shoe brands that are as reliable as Zappos!

The New Balance 840v5 was too short. Size was a 7 1/2 M and seemed 1/2 size smaller than a normal 7 1/2 size. The shoe felt like it would be a very supportive and comfortable walking shoe. I would have ordered a size larger but I don't do well with the dip on corner of outside of each heel. Sometimes the pictures online and in videos don't show how a heel is formed.

I purchased both the 840v5 and 847v4. The 847v5 felt very large but I wore them outside so can't return them. I also purchased the 847v4 which feels a bit shorter than a 7 but it still is a better fit for me.

The 8.5W was too long and the 8W was a tad too short. First time I ever had an issue w/New Balance fitting properly.

These sneakers are very comfortable and I have problems with my feet.

They are still tight on my feet hoping once they get broke in the will feel better

The width and length were fine. The moderate arch support was not sufficient for my high arch. I still pronated.

I was pleased that these shoes fit comfortably as soon as I put them on. My wide feet are difficult to fit.

I work 12 hr shifts. These are the only shoes that can go the distance . I love the shoes but wish the shoe laces were longer as I like to double tie by laces .

These shoes fit well, and I have worn them daily since receiving them. I will order another pair!

i had to have a custom orthotic made so not able to rate the arch support. The shoe allows an orthotic. The shoe itself is very comfortable with the cushioning in the sole however.

The shoe has very little cushioning. It seems NB has reduced the padding under the ball of the foot to make them wear out faster. Really wanted to like this shoe. Come on NB cushioning for the ball of the foot is a support for both young and aging feet!
