I love the Paradigm 6 and I truly only bought them because of Kara Goucher's post/involvement. I also love my trail Hoka's. It's really weird for me to like 2 completely different shoes but from feet to crown, I feel great! Thanks! They are awesome!!!

This is probably my tenth pair of Paradigms and I love the new updates! It feels more cushion-y and springy and I love the new colors! No issues with sizing for me, I bought my usual size 10 (which is what I wear in Timps, Lone Peaks, Escalantes, & Provisions...I may or may not have a shoe problem). Super stoked for better colors, I wasn't a fan of the color options in the 5's. Altra is definitely stepping up their game with shoe colors!

This is my first time ever purchasing this brand. They are very comfortable and well made. I feel like they look a little geriatric to me. But I guess that's what you get with the wide toe. If you don't mind looking a little older, they are really comfortable.

I use it for everyday wear - work, bringing my kids to and from school. The cushioning helps alleviate my heel pain, and the wide toe box encourages me to walk properly, activating my leg and thigh muscles.

I can finally walk with less pain & discomfort. I have hallux limitus & the wide toe box alleviates pressure on my big toe (MTP) joint. I have s slight leg length discrepancy and there is enough room to add a special insole in one shoe, but I can still lace the the other one securely enough. Only complaints are laces too short for lacing a heel lock. And the tongue is stiff & slides to outside. (Yes I laced through the slot.)

I like how buttery and soft the soles of the shoe are. I have plantar fasciitis and I like using these shoes to run and walk. My feet need more arch support, but that's not the shoes fault.

The local running store didn't have the Paradigm in my size, but I tried the men's Paradigm. It fit well, a little wide in the heel, but that was expected. My orthotic fit well too. I bought the women's size 10.5 online, but was shocked that, with my orthotic in place, my toes were shoved laterally. Removing my orthotic, and using the bed the shoe came with, it fit fine. I think it's the support design of the Paradigm. I returned them and ordered another Altra shoe to see if that works with my orthotic. fingers crossed!
By the way, the customer service team are aces! They helped me with sizing and the return was easy. It does take some time for the refund to be processed. The only down side.

I am still within 30 days trial but loving it so far. The only thing that I would like to see is more choices of colors. How about black so I can wear it to work?

Loved my first pair of Paradigm's and wore them until they fell apart. Originally a very comfortable and supportive shoe. The newer model lacks cushioning and not nearly as comfortable.

My Altra experience only involves Torin 6, so I wanted to try another style. I work in healthcare and stand for several hours at a time. I have been wearing them to work as well as power walking. Firstly, there is a great amount of arch support for folks with high arches. These have a notable lift to them, but are not obnoxious like some brands. The lift seems to be camouflaged. The fit in the heel is comfortable and mine doesn't slip. These shoes seem to hug the foot more than the Torin 6. The tongue seems to stay in place and I like that it is not more of a slip-on type so there can be more room added with the laces if wearing thicker socks. Compared to 6, the toe area is slightly narrower and maybe a little shorter. I have wide feet, and these are on the edge of fit. There seems to be less room in this shoe and would maybe step it up a half size. The bottom of my feet seem to burn at the end of the day, but it may just be because it is a little small. I will note that there is a significant squeak when walking and sometimes do not wear them to work because of it but It may just be this pair. I will probably return to the Torin, but this is a good shoe to alternate.

I love these runners and I am on my 4th pair. I have a Morton's neuroma and had given up running till I found these!!!! The only down side is the color design. There has definitely been an improvement in design over the last year but I would love to see something more funky!

Been wearing this brand for years and decided to try a cushier version. I love the feel of this one. My only issue is that the shoes suck my no-show socks down the heal. I have never had this issue before and have had to reluctantly buy higher ankle socks to make them work. :(

There was an odd pressure point on the top of the first big toe knuckle on one side so I'm returning. TheY fit great otherwise.

Good support for high arches. Good for running longer distances. My only suggestion is offer more choices in darker colors - darker soles.

These are my go-to shoes which means standing in a classroom, sitting at my desk, walking my dog 4 miles per day and anything else that comes my way. I need stability shoes that accommodate orthotics and these work great. All of this said, I have two major complaints. The soles wear out QUICKLY. Some might wear them longer than I do but for me, the wear on the outsides adds to the roll the orthotics provideproblem. I do not recommend these for road runners. You will find yourself replacing three times faster than other shoes. And the tongue!! It's been a common complaint in reviews but I will say it again.it is too narrow. Even if the edge of the tongue didn't run up against my bunion repair incision, they would still be too narrow. So why a 4 out of 5? I love the zero drop, they are still the best stability shoe for me, and the foot shape is fantastic for me.

I have narrow feet, so these are too wide but the star removed was for the the reduction in cushion in comparison to the paradigm 5. The cushion on these barely has any give and my bunions hurt while running which never happened with the 5s. I'm so disappointed in this new rendition and wish they had just kept the old design. I have narrow feet that are low-volume with bunions and the paradigm 5 was the perfect shoe for me. I'm 5'5", 120 lbs, for reference. I guess I'm going to have to search the web for any leftover 5s and buy them all up.

These shoes are helping me to walk pain-free with my previously sore and arthritic feet. They're also quite attractive! The only down-side is that they're constructed with cloth-like exterior which gets dirty easily and is harder to clean than a leather-like surface.

As all other reviewers have stated, order at least half size larger, they squeak when you walk, toe box area is a lot narrower than the provision 6. I got these because others stated more cushioning in ball of foot. They do stretch some with use. At first I was not able to put my inserts in shoe but after wearing a few times, I am able to put them in. I have a serious bunion, hammer toe and neuroma on left foot.

While these shoes are not the speediest, they are still my go-to shoes for marathons and other long distances on road. If they get wet, I get blisters, and they don't work with my feet in the same way as the Mont Blancs do on trails, but if I have to run a road marathon, I will still choose them over other, fancier shoes. They are comfortable, fit well, and supportive.

Very cushiony! Wide toe box!
However, this is a zero drop shoe.
Never heard of that! It means your heel is lower than the front ball of your foot.
So, when standing, instead of feeling like you're straight, you feel like you're leaning a bit backwards. (Which evidently, is really straight. Who knew!)
Walking - you want to hit your heel on the ground.
Instead, I had to relearn how to walk, and rock: land on heel and rock to ball of foot and push off with toes.
Once I got the gist of it, it's an incredibly comfortable shoe.

I really like this shoe , Room in toe box feels good when Im walking and sprinting . But as another reviewer said ,wish they had put a pull tag in back . Its just not easy to put on. In fact it’s annoying. And I dont have a big foot . Size 7 1/2 So for the money I would not buy again .
