I bought this because it was recommended to a friend by her podiatrist. The reason I like it is because it is well-padded. I need more padding for the ball of the foot that tends to hurt when walking longer or faster. This shoe provides this--it is well-padded front and back and most shoes are more padded at the back which does not help me. I've worn them for about a month now and I am very happy with them. They are true to size but perhaps slight shorter than that so good to have half-size bigger which I usually do for walking shoes anyhow so I can wear with thicker socks.

I love these shoes. These are my third pair. They're super comfy, especially in the wide row box. They are nice and cushioned without being too bulky.

Very supportive and true to size. My first time wearing this brand, I believe Altra will be my new "go to " brand .

I have all of the popular shoes and these are my favorite. I have hokas, brooks, and onclouds and none compare. These are the most cushiony while also feeling very supportive of my arch. I have wide feet and the toe box on these is perfect. Only problem I have is now I don't want to wear anything else.

I bought these sneakers because of the wider toe box. My husband has been wearing them for a few years. I got them just before a 2 week trip walking, hiking and climbing while at national parks in CO, AZ and NM. I wore them everyday and loved them. No back pain, no big toe joint pain. I’m going to buy another pair. I’ve already thrown out 2 pairs of other sneakers.

I've been having a problem with foot pain lately and needed something with a lot of padding. This shoe lets me walk a few miles without pain and for that I'm very grateful. They're wide enough to keep from feeling cramped and the heel and tongue are not causing any pressure or rubbing. I used to be a fan of the Torin but that sharp tongue forced me to search for an alternative. The Paradigm may be my new go to.

I need a zero drop shoe with lots of cushioning and this fit the bill. Altras are made a bit wider thru the arch and that was lacking in the Hoka's, New Balance shoes I purchased.....plus those shoes were more "rocker" bottomed.

Have worn a 9 1/2 in Hoka Rincon but need a 10 in Altra but perfect fit. I have a narrow foot but long great toe so a lot of times I go up a size but then they are to wide. These remain a great fit and the laces are perfect length usually too long. Light weight sneaker means less tiring, great traction, nice color not flashy great for jeans.

I like these shoes. I'm a senior and I rotate these with various Hokas for my 3 mile walks. If you're between sizes, order up. I wear an 8 street shoe and ordered these in 8.5. I definitely think 8 would've been too short. Upper is soft and comfortable. Laces are on the short side, but stay tied. They are lightweight, yet feel beefy, like my foot is secure and supported. I have a neutral foot/gait with no issues other than age related soreness. They don't bother any of my hot spots.
I'd also recommend:
Hoka

These shoes are amazing! I'm a teacher and I'm on my feet all day. Ever since I got these shoes, I haven't had any foot pain after a day at work.

What can I say?! I absolutely love these sneakers! I bought these shoes for the purpose of jogging/exercise. Normally, when I buy a new pair of sneakers I swap out the insoles for name brand ones. However, when I put these sneakers on for sizing (I bought them online) I was immediately surprised at how well they fit. My heels and ankles felt supported and secure , my heels did not slip out of the shoe. In addition, I have high arches and these sneakers were able to take care of that too! The extra toe room is also a game changer...my toes have room to wriggle and breathe. The extra cushioning on the soles feels like I am running on a rubber track instead of hard pavement. The soles are also super grippy and stick to the road like glue, especially when you are running down hill! I recently ran a 5k race and honestly feel wearing these sneakers made a big difference in how well I did (I placed 3rd for my age group!). I am not a fast runner but I do enjoy it very much and now even more not having to worry about my aching feet all the time...Thank you Altra!

The Paradigm model is great for me. I'm an older woman who goes on long walks. (12 miles plus sometimes!) Comfort and stability make this possible, and have helped me eliminate plantar fasciitis. (I tend to supinate.) I recommend it highly and will continue to buy this model.

Love these running shoes! I have wide feet (woman) with very little arch. I prefer a lot of cushioning for running outside on the pavement with my 45-year-old knees. I am very happy with how my feet, knees, hips and back feel. Usually, I am achy during my 58-mile runs, and very stiff afterwards, but not since switching to these shoes! I have no pain during or after my runs. Hooray!

I was a HUGE fan of the Torin 4.5's and I purchased as many pairs as I could until they were discontinued. I did not like the new versions of the shoe so I tried the Paradigm 6's. They are more supportive but feel quite similar to the Torin 4.5's -- more so than the new version of the Torin's. The new Torin's (5s and 6s) give me plantar fasciitis so I can't wear them to walk more than a few miles. So far I love the Paradigm 6's.

I never write reviews but these shoes are wonderful! I bought them after the other Altras (Torin) were not working for me anymore. I had Torins for 6 years and was reluctant to change shoes. I LOVE this shoe. It is light weight, perfect amount of support and cushion and it LOOKS GREAT! Thank you Altra for another perfect running shoe!

I wear mostly Hokas and New Balance fresh foam and an a bit obsessive about good fit and comfort. I walk in and train for the Komen 3-Day every year, sometimes more than 1/year. This is a 60 mile walk over 3 days, so I put in a lot of miles walking. I also have a large bunion, so buy wide shoes. People have recommended this brand but I couldn’t buy wide, so never wanted to try. I wish I had tried them sooner. I use the selection tool at the Altra website to choose this style for me. The toebox is plenty wide for me, even with my large bunion. I did size up a little bit. I can walk all day in them with NO PAIN and I average a much faster pace in them than my other shoes. I think the zero drop takes the pressure off my forefoot and therefore off of my bunion. I also had no pain that night. I can truly roll and drive off of all of my toes in these. I find the uppers to be lightweight and breathable and I wore them in 90+ degree heat at an event in Boston!
