The max cushion takes a couple short runs to shape to your foot, but after that, these are gold for steady pace road running with the right amount of cushion and support. I switched to these after they changed the Torins and feel these are more similar to the old torins than the new torins are. The higher sole makes it a little less stable with quick side to side movement so I wouldn't recommend using them on unstable ground.

I ordered my second pair of Paradigms and the fit was a half size too small. I thought they would stretch and it would be fine, however it is causing toenail issues. I called customer service and they were quick to respond so that I could return for a full refund and order another pair in a half size larger. Amazing customer service!

I have been running in Altras for 6 years and this is my favorite shoe. Please never change it. This is my 3rd pair, I usually put in 20 plus miles a week. All road miles. I am about to purchase another pair; not because I wear through them, find the construction to be of great quality, but I love all of the new fun colors!

I'd been wearing the New Balance 860 for 15 years and liked them- A LOT. I wore a double wide in NB, so I was skeptical that these would be wide enough and supportive enough for long miles. I've loved my Altra Trail shoes and finally tried this road shoe. I love them. They feel so natural and truly give my foot the space, flexibility and support I need!

Was running in escalantes, but gave these a go and it was in that first run that I absolutely fell in love with them. They are light and the support they give is next level. I dropped off a curb and felt the support everywhere when I hit the ground and kept running. Already have nearly 200 miles on them. Will be getting a second pair soon.

Best pair of running shoes I've had in a long time, and I've been running for over 40 years. Currently doing 3 to 8 miles per day. They are as comfortable as going barefoot, but with the right amount of cushioning AND flexibility, so no heel slip. I have had no issues with durability or breakdown at the heel. Buying a second pair now, just in case they change something in the next version.

The Paradigm 6 version is my favorite and I am always commenting on how much I love them to my spouse. I do not run but I do walk a lot and the shoe fits so perfect - like a glove as they same. Please do not change anything- except colors!

I have 2 pairs and wear for work, exercise and walking the dog.

I love these shoes. I was having problems with lower back pain in another famous brand. I needed something I could wear to the gym and beyond and this shoe is it!!! I can be in it 12hrs plus and no lower back pain. I bought mine from a local retailer who listened to my concerns and recommended this shoe.

These shoes are the best walking/running shoes EVER. I received as a gift from my boss as he uses Altras and I told him I started to walk/run more, but had shin splint pain and have to be careful with my ankles from previous injuries. Praise the Lord I'm able to run for my workouts! I'm newer to running but these shoes completely changed my attitude towards running and, dare I say it, actually made me LOVE running. Is it silly a pair of shoes made me love and actually enjoy running? Maybe, but I love my Paradigms and am an Altra customer for life. Just bought some Provisions as well and can't wait to put miles on them! Altra = < 3

These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever put on my feet in my entire life. I have tried many other running sneakers and brands and these are by far my favorite. Trained for and ran a half marathon in them. Can't wait to buy my next pair. Considering buying them in every color!

I love this shoe! I know it's designed as a running shoe; however, I work in a warehouse 10-12 hours walking all day.I used to have foot & leg pain until a knowledgeable salesperson recommended my first pair of Paradigm! Great cushion, support & wide toe box keeps my feet comfortable all day! No need to purchase additional insoles. This is my second pair & I plan to continue purchasing. I do wear a full size larger in these shoes than other brands. My only request would be a solid black option better suited for warehouse environment. Thanks Altra!

Recently, I've had to size up a full size (instead of half a size) in Altras, not sure why. But sizing up more made a world of difference. I was formerly a die-hard fan of Torins but felt perhaps I needed more support because of recurring, wicked hot spots near the bunion. This shoe gives support when support is needed, and that's been a game changer for me. I have them in gray/purple and the white/blue/orange that I've affectionately dubbed "bowling" shoe. I wear them for daily training and will try out my first half marathon in them. Altras are the only running shoe I'll consider because of the roomy toe box and zero drop.

I don't have a wide foot, but I have a ganglion that is taking up a good portion of my foot. I bought a wide and it feels like a medium width. It does run about a size short. Ex I wear 6.5 and had to buy 7.5. I had no breakin a time, I wore them at my job on my feet for 10 hours. No soreness, no blisters, and because it sort of forces proper posture naturally rocking backwards my back felt amazing.

I don't run anymore due to knee replacements. I travel a lot and need a good walking shoe. I like the stability and structure of this model. The toe box is roomy in both width and height. I'll get another pair for sure!

I have no complaints! Wide toe box and great stability for trail or street runs!
