I changed to this model after Altra modified the Lone Peak. These Superiors fit immediately and are very light weight. I'm an avid walker and they needed no breaking in. Fit my orthotics too!

Love Altras - this is my third pair. I have a Mortons Neuroma and Altras have brought me back to pre-neuroma life. I purchased these for the slippery rocks on a Nature Trail, but also love the new colors.

My feet turn inward when walking- very unusual. I love the color and look of this shoe, but there’s not enough support. Thank you!

I think I'll like these shoes once I get the correct size. These ran small.

I ordered two pairs because they were on sale. And purposely ordered one in an 8.5 and one in a 9. I normally wear an 8.5 in Altra shoes, but the Superior is thinner in the toe box, so the 9 actually fits better and is more comfortable. This will also allow me to wear a thicker sock. I can still keep and wear the 8.5, with a thinner sock, and wear it as a work shoe at the YMCA, where I spend 1/2 of my time at a desk. I'm satisfied with both pairs and appreciate very much the discounted price.

The light green is beautiful and the style is very attractive. I have another pair of these in navy in size 11 that fit my size 10.5 feet perfectly. However, this pair is too short--and the right shoe is way shorter than the left. I am returning them. Overall these shoes are very comfortable but the instep is tight and the back of the shoe comes up rather high on my heels.

These were an interesting fit. I actually went down a half size because they were to wide going with my usual size. I traded a little by doing so on the length, but the overall fit is better for me. I wore these out of the box with no breakin required, took them a trip out of the country and my feet were happy going through the airports as well as all of the walking. The foot bed is cushioned just enough where it's soft without the "mushy" feeling. I don't wear thick socks with these but my Injiini's work well with the toe-box design as I have a more narrow foot. I have run in them a few times but I bought these as aa travel shoe and they have done well so far. The sole is just grippy enough for light hikes but does not take the place of a good hiking boot for really uneven or steep surfaces. The color options are nice variety, I ended up with the navy/orange color it blends with my travel wardrobe well.

This shoe fit amazing except for a weird spot on the outside of my heel. I could feel it just taking the first couple test steps in them, and standing in them for a couple minutes was already causing an uncomfortable pressure point. It's disappointing because otherwise they are perfect.

My daughter runs cross country in these and she loves them. Just the right support and still lightweight.

These are super comfortable if you have a wide toe box and narrow heel. Not a lot of cushioning under forefoot so limited in the number of miles I do in them. The grip is not as good as I hoped. The material across the toes is super thin and I tore a hole when it snagged on the bottom of a fence gate. :(

These shoes look cool (I have the red ones). I feel bad a$s in them. Instantly comfortable. Walking all day in them. While my feet feel cool while I wear them, and I wear them with socks, (and I am writing this review during summer time) for some reason the shoes already seem prone to foot odor so I have to put foot powder in them cuz I want to wear them every day all day long.

Size yourself up! Ordered the 8.5 and it's not right?! :( Returning and of course, out of a 9. #Bummed

These shoes are light, cool and a minimalist style that is not very supportive even after trying with Powerstep Pinnacle insoles. I like the turquoise color and exchanged them for a 10.5 size. The fabric seems like it breathes well but offers no protection for the toes so I plan to only wear these shoes doing lackey chores in the house. I'm will do another review after the correct size arrives.

a half size smaller than the other size 7's I wear, so i ordered 7 1/2. It feels so great to spread my toes! heel fits well, and i have a narrow heel. the shoes have a sensation of grounding, as they are low profile soles...they're also kinda cute.

Maybe my least favorite pair of superiors. Seems to be less arch support. BUT, still a great shoe. Got the red/orange and love the color. In the last 2 superior models, I’ve been a 7.5. These, I needed an 8!!
