The fit was perfect. I was expecting it to be a bit bigger than it was. I had tried on a size W 8 in another style and it felt roomier than this one. Still happy with my purchase. Style and fit are perfect. Love these shoes and highly recommend for anyone that enjoys a wide toe box.

Exactly what I thought I was ordering. I'm used to barefoot style shoes, but wanted a few more mm in the sole for the colder weather. I found the insole very bouncy, so I removed that and I'm enjoying them.

I have never written a shoe review but I had to because I love these so much. I have very wide feet and the medium width was perfect. They are very light and a 10 for comfort. I have one pair for around the house and one for trail running - they are great for both. I just ordered the slate pair too - I have the red and blue and the colors are great. I wish there were a dark green but that would be four pairs ? haha!!

I have wide feet with long toes, I sized up a full size. Ran 18 miles this weekend without a single blister. So comfy and lightweight.

Responsive and durable. Love this shoe so much I bought another pair after the first month.
It gives you the feel of the trail I was looking for, while protecting my feet. I ran the whole season in these babies injury free last year and can't wait to restock my closet with a few fresh pairs.

Shoes are great. Purchased same shoe in my normal size a couple months ago but they run smaller than normal so purchased 8.5, fits much better. Overall great shows, light cushion which I prefer. Been running in Superiors since the version 1 came out.

Bought these shoes right before a long trip during which I walked a LOT for 5 weeks. They did not need breaking in at all and I never got the slightest blister. Love the colors! My only complaint is that they didn't have enough room for my very high instep so I had to lace them ridiculously loosely to accommodate that and the shoes were hard to put on because of the attached tongue (not a feature I like). My previous Altras that fit me perfectly and that I wish were still available are the Torin 1.5 in black, pink, and orange --- luckily I bought 20 pairs before you stopped making them. These Superior 5 shoes are the best Altras I have tried since and I have tried many of them. I should mention that Altras are the only shoes that fit me at all.

I'm a fitness instructor and also work on concrete floors with my day job. I have two pairs so far, I ordered a 9 and I am normally a 8 1/2, they fit perfectly.They are wonderful I can work two jobs and my feet in great shape.

I was getting depressed about having to wear shoes after a summer barefoot in the woods. Definitely the best substitute for the city. Love the toe splay, also the close to the ground feel.
And they look less clown shoe like my previous ones! Snazzy, even.

This shoe is super light and flexible. I like the wide toe box and it fits my foot so well. I walk the roads and trails with them. I would absolutely buy them again. I was also out in a downpour with them and although they got wet, they were not sloshing around and still felt supportive and comfortable.

I been with altra shoes for years since lone peaks 2.5. As a long distance runner I love how wide these shoes are because when you run for hours your feet swell up and need room to expand. Finally an amazing light weight shoes that is wide enough to run comfortably in for hours. The previous superiors shoes were way too narrow for long runs so my feet would end up hurting after a few miles. I absolutely love these shoes and strongly recommend them. If your a long distance runner and have never tried wide shoes I strongly recommend you give these a try. It does take time to adjust but trust me you we never go back!

Super light, grippy, fast shoes! Great on technical, smooth or anything in between. Fun shoes that afford good contact with the ground. Nice lacing system with no pressure points. Love these shoes!!
