I initially loved this shoe. The look and feel. But after only maybe 5th day of wearing I noticed that the exterior material is wearing away. Small holes appearing. I noticed other people had the same problem. Can not recommend. Too expensive of a shoe for this to happen.

I really loved these shoes, but for the price they should last more than a few months. Very minimal use and the soles are peeling off. This brand makes such comfortable shoes and they actually feel so great on my feet but the quality is crap. I just can't continue wasting my money. My Escalante shoes also only lasted a few months before the upper part of the shoe had holes.

I loved these shoes when I first got them. The toe box was perfect, color was cute, and the feel was excellent. However, they are already starting to wear down after only a month of use- I only use these for the gym/walking to and from, and the sides are already peeling (similar to other reviews here). For the high price, these shoes should definitely be more durable. I replaced my six-year-old nikes for these and I am bummed I will likely have to buy new gym shoes again.

Shoes started ripping on one foot within a week and after two months rips are now present on both shoes. Never had this happen so me before so I'm not sure what's up with the material/construction of these. I have only worn to the gym once and otherwise have only used for walks around town. The ripping is disappointing because otherwise the shoes are great!

I have worn these shoes twice. I bought them specifically for the gym and they have approximately 2 hours of wear time. The toe on the left shoe is lifting away and has caused a wrinkle in the outer layer of shoe. For expensive shoes these disappointed.

I have purchased Altras prior and they have had some good use before wearing out. I have only had these for a few months and the material is already ripping. Not meant for wider feet - short laces.

Between my husband and I we have owned a dozen Altras. Climbing 14ers in Lone Peak and Pilgrimages in Olympus. I got the Solstice for Cross fit and dog walks, they started ripping in 3 months.

These shoes look great and fit well, BUT the added structure is so uncomfortable on the outside of my foot. I have plenty of room for my toes and yet the plastic support on the upper of the shoe is DIGGING into thw outside of my foot. Anything bigger/wider would simply be too large, so I'll be returning these and trying another style.

fairly comfortable given the wide fit and zero drop. But after one year of only walking in them about 5 miles a week they are in pretty poor condition so I'm disappointed since they are costly.

These shoes are fine, I guess, but I can't wear them and don't recommend them because the shoelaces are way too short and require you to cinch them up so tight as to be uncomfortable and unwearable just to be able to tie them normally. When I contacted Altra about what I assumed was an error, they told me that they do not have laces for distribution. Ummmm?? Literally every pair of shoes you sell requires you to distribute laces? Given the price point, I expect to be able to wear them without having to make another purchase from another company first. Do better.

Love how they look and the insoles are comfortable. I had to return them because the width was to narrow and the top of the shoes were too tight. I tried a half size bigger but they were too long but still tight on top.

I really loved my previous solstice shoes and so I decided to buy these. They are comfortable, however, I have them for less than 2 months and they are already falling apart. The fabric on the side is ripping on both shoes. I only wear them to run so I'm thinking the quality of the fabric is not great. Sad to say this because I really loved my other solstice shoes and they lasted over a year.

They were great for the first month or 2. They kill my feet now just when walking.

Unfortunately, after only 3 months of wear (primarily for walking), the Altra tag on the tongue began to fray and fall off. I reached out to customer service with photos and was told the warranty was not valid as this was considered "wear and tear." Given the price, I expected longer life out of these. If not, I expected this to be covered by the warranty and replaced at the very least. The customer service team did not agree and claimed that this is a normal result of wear and tear by the customer. I will not be buying another pair as I don't feel the quality matches the price.

This is my 4th pair of Altras, and unfortunately this is the first time I have been disappointed with my purchase. After only 2 months, the tread is already worn down on the midfoot (I do not drag my feet, nor do I use these shoes on rough trails - I have a different pair of Altras for my trail runs). The tread material is simply too soft and as such, I would not recommend these shoes.

I purchased this shoe for for my leg workouts at the gym. Love the roomy toe area, great for squatting, no arch support, is very loose around the ankle, no ankle support, would not run or walk in these, laces are too short and won't stayed tied. While I love the look of this shoe, and they are light weight, overall I can only wear them for squats.

This shoe felt /2 size too small. It also lacked sufficient cushioning. I'm much happier in the Provision shoe.

I have been using this model for the gym for years, but this new version with the weird bands is very constricting, especially on toes for burpees, plank, etc. Go back to the old version please.

I waited for the release of these for some time. I wore my previous solstices completely out and truly had no issues with the original pair. Since I began wearing the new ones my calves have been so tight. Now after a few months I have intense pain with my Achilles. Also, the previous solstice lasted longer. The new ones already look worn out. I do not recommend these for runs on pavement. I have worn Altras for many years, and have been so happy until now. I have never had this issue and am not sure what to do other than heal my unhappy Achilles.

Sizing is off compared to the previous version. I had to order a full size up from my old Solstice. There's also significant wear and tear from limited use. The previous version is still going strong compared to this pair.

I wanted to like this pair, and it is cute appearance wise - but it feels slightly smaller and a lot narrower than my Lone Peak trail shoes even though it's the same size and brand. The shoe laces are also very short so they tend to untie very easily during my activity. Pretty unsatisfied with these shoes :(

The rubber bottom came off two different pairs of shoes I purchased. This happened after 2 WEEKS. Customer service was of zero help. Obviously I returned them, but complete garbage quality...,

I loved these shoes! The black white and pink and wide toe box checked all my boxes. However, they started falling apart after three weeks of wear. So disappointing for such an expensive shoe.

My shoes were a bit big so I returned them for smaller size, and they did not send a refund for my shoes.
