My son is in the men's shoe dead zone. His feet are too big for kids shoes and too small for mens shoes. He loves them. Two weeks into school and they are holding up well. I sized up a half size as recommended and they fit perfectly. Thank you for offering them in black/white color.

This is my third pair of Solstice and I love how comfy it is and great for getting my steps in. The new model looks fancier than the last one but it shows its wear quickly. The fabric between the leather detailing by the toebox is already starting to tear, only after 4 months of wear. It seems the fabric rubs against the detailing and starts to fray and even rip. Even though this version looks sleeker, the last model was a true workhorse and didn't show wear like this one. If you can fix that problem of the fabric against the decorative detailing, it would be a perfect shoe, but as it stands now, the sneaker starts to look fall apart too quickly.

Very comfortable, and cute! I definitely appreciate the wide toe box, and the stylish looks. Many wide toe box, "barefoot" shoes, are also kinda clunky looking, but not these. And, I find the shoelace length to be just right. The past years I noticed that shoe laces were getting longer and longer, and I would have to double tie the laces, or tuck them in just so I wouldn't trip. I find these laces are just right length. Would love more colors, a dark navy.

For house cleaning. Wear all day and feel great.

I was looking for a shoe designed for weight and interval training. These are perfect and help me stay balanced. That said, the shoelaces were not great, they are slippery and had to be re-tied often. I ended up replacing them.

I have been wearing Altras for a long time, and really love the foot shape. My problem has always been the soles. In almost every model, the soles have deep crevices that fill with mud easily and are difficult to clean. These are much better; grippy but without deep holes for stuff to get stuck in. I knocked off a star because the laces are SO SHORT: like "are these for baby shoes?" short. And they have special thin laces that will be difficult to replace.

I bought three pairs because these feel great. Like walking in a cloud with support. I have literally bought 20 pairs of shoes since my back surgery. These have changed my life. I couldn't walk before for more that 15 minutes, now with the Solstice 2 I can shop and wear them all day. I love the toe room. PLEASE Altra, don't ever change these perfect shoes. Famous podiatrist Dr. Ray McClanahan recommends these and that's how I discovered them. They are fantastic! Healed all my foot pain. ( bought in different site as my size is sold out)

Got these for weight lifting & like the shoe but the laces are too short so I cant even tie them! I tried the Torin 5 & they are much better.

I bought these to be able to wear to the gym for weight training but also to grab a warm up run on the treadmill or go for a walk. They are very cute but the laces are so annoying. They are too short for one thing and without being double knotted they constantly come untied. I wore them to a museum trip and thought they'd be great for walking around. Not so much. I should have worn my Torins.

Loved the white ones so much, I bought the black. I wear the white ones for casual and plan on wearing black ones more for sport/HIT class etc. Minus 1 star for too short laces. Had to buy replacements

I loved the original Solstice shoes for all my crossfit-style workouts. These XT 2s are simply not as durable. They lasted barely half the amount of time as my original Solstice...but cost the same. Also, really dislike that this generation of solstice has only 2 color options: black or white. Why? The previous generation had at least 3 or 4 color options. I absolutely love Altra shoes but the Solstice XT 2 falls short of what ive come to expect of their shoe. These shoes need to be MORE durable for the style of gym work they're designed to support. I could find a different kind of Altra shoe...but the preference for CrossFit style training would, obviously, be to buy a style designed for cross training not for pure running.

I actually really love these shoes, but they fell apart so quickly. I know I only uploaded one photo, but the whole shoe seemed to peel apart.

Bought these for my wife for Christmas and she absolutely loves them. The color and how true they fit to her feet. She has been walking on the treadmill, and says they are so comfortable. She would highly recommend

I love the look, shape, and feel of this shoe, but unfortunately the fabric started pealing away from the toe box after a week and a half or normal wear. I have shoe glued them, but they are still struggling. I still like these a lot and would buy 2 for the price of 1 if offered, otherwise these are not worth it.

I knew I liked the solstice and needed a pair in black. I am not disappointed at all! Love these for the gym. My only negative thought is that the laces need to be longer.

I've loved these shoes, they're incredibly comfortable, I wear them around work most days. However, they're only a few months old and they're already separating in multiple places! Makes me so sad.

I bought these wanting something more supportive & that would last longer than the Escalante that I have been wearing, these just aren't what I am looking for.

I loved the original Solstice XT. The XT 2 is more stiff and my toes and forefoot feels confined by the extra material. Please go back to the original design!

I love the look of these shoes but I wish you would offer them in wide.
