I use these shoes for walking and I usually get 10,000 or more steps every day. The wider toe box is a blessing! These are my favorite shoes! I also like the color options.

After all the negative reviews I was prepared to not like these, but they are fantastic. No issues at all with the tongue, although my socks come up over my ankles a bit. I love that they come in wide now so I don't have to buy men's shoes. Wish they came in wide in more colors than just the green though. The sole is a bit firmer than the Torin 4 Plush, but it hasn't been an issue with long runs over 20 miles. Looking forward to many more miles in them.

Gym workout and daily use. I have a flat foot and wide forefoot but normal heal. I have always struggled finding a good fitting shoe. These are like they were made perfect for my foot!

Prior to running in Altras, I thought I'd never switch from my Hokas. However, my trusty Hokas finally gave out and I needed a new pair of shoes. My local running store didn't have the size I needed in stock so suggested that I try the Altras. I loved the wide toe box and secure heel fit immediately but switching from the previously super cushioned Hokas to a zero drop shoe is tough. My first run I felt the pavement with every step and thought for sure I would take them back. But then I decided to do a second run, and a third, and then a fourth. After about two weeks of running in the Altras, I couldn't go back to Hokas. My foot strike was improved and my runs felt stronger and more sustained. There are other more cushioned shoes out there but these are by far the best shoes I've ever run in.

The cushioning makes these Torin 5's great for mixed cardio. I am fussy about what shoes I get and these are wonderful. I got the light green color which is very nice.

I bought a size up because I like my shoes roomy, but not too big. This is my second pair of these. It's the shoe I wear most often. With various ankle and foot injuries over the years, I need cushioned soles and these are excellent. The mesh allows the upper to conform to your foot and not bind anywhere. There's really room enough for spread ties and yet the heel also fits. And zero drop, well, it's the best way to go in my opinion. I no longer run. I walk, on varying terrains, and do Qigong in these.

I bought 2 pair of these last summer and was very pleasantly surprised to see the same style still available. Ordered another 2 pair. I'm older and since the pandemic, I have been getting cardio by walking on the streets in my neighborhood. I am pretty hard on these shoes doing that but they have been great, no complaints other than wishing they lasted longer!!

I love the shoe and don't mind the tongue. It hasn't bothered me at all and I didn't realize it was an issue until reading reviews. I run 45-55 miles a week and have already ordered a second pair.

I can't say enough good things about this shoe! Yes the tongue was uncomfortable the first couple of runs but between wearing long socks and breaking them in, I don't notice any discomforted now.

I love these! I have been wearing them for about 3 months now. I had read the reviews that the tongue cuts into the ankle so I while I waited for my shipment to come in, I bought quarter crew socks and problem solved! I run in these with no issues.

My mother sees a Podiatrist for her feet 2x a month. She has many foot issues from wearing heels for over 50 years. Since receiving these shoes, she has canceled at least one appointment because her feet did not hurt.

I have been transitioning from standard running/walking shoes to zero drop/minimalist shoes and have wide width feet. It is hard to find zero drop/minimalist shoes in wide width and these work great!

Do they look like clown shoes? Yes. Is the tongue uncomfortable out of the box? Yes. But I guess I have clown feet because the fit is amazing. Love the roomy feel in the toe box. Made sure to pull my sock over the edge of the tongue and now after a few miles it is softer. This is my first zero drop shoe and my knees appreciate them. I have over 300 miles on my first pair and just ordered my second. I like to alternate shoes but just don’t want to wear my other shoes with higher drop.

I had an older version of the Torin, and I always felt like the sole was too thick to get a good response from the road. But this version is perfect! The tongue is stiff and I could see how that could rub, but I just pull the front of my sock up slightly and have never had an issue. True to size fit. I just completed a Ragnar relay in these in all sorts of weather. These shoes were perfect through it all. Highly recommend!

Tongue doesn't bother me at all, even with no-show socks. I bought these in the wide size and they're the only running shoes that i can wear. I'm usually a 7 but needed to buy an 8, but i usually find Altras fit a size smaller on me. I previously had the Paradigms and the guide rail was too restrictive for my extremely wide flat feet. These are perfect!

Love the wide toe box, and the sole is nicely cushioned. A shade less arch support than my hokas and ASICS, but still sufficient for someone with a high arches and a history of plantar fasciitis. I put about 7mi on these shoes every day.

Very comfy shoe, great for bunions. I had to return and order a 9 wide, but I love the foot shape style, it's the only one I can wear.

this is my 1st time with an Altra product looking for a wide toe box. The Torin accommodates all the toes comfortably, also great to walk my daily 3 1/2 miles. Thus far I certainly like the shoe, style and color choice. As to the total quality - not enough time has elapsed to be able to judge. However, I certainly will buy Altra products again as long as their style does not change.
