I love the idea of a shoe that is shaped as a foot should be. This is the shoe for me. I discovered that I am a 10 wide instead of a 10. It's perfect for me. I even bought an extra pair. I do wish that more wides were offered. I also bought your hiking boot in the original foot shape and it fit great. Thank you for making a shoe that is shaped like a foot!!

I have sciatica and when I wear these bad boys I don't have any shadow shooting pains and my back doesn't hurt! I'm a nurse and I wear these for 12 hours at work! Love and will be buying more

I love love love these shoes! My feet are horrible and i had a lady at a running store recommend them and i LOVE them! I have flat and wife feet and these are the best shoes ive tried for them. Beats on clouds by miles for me!

This is my second pair of Torin 5. I adore them. I love that my toes don’t get smooshed in the toe box. My high arch isn’t being battered by laces or a puffy tongue. My heels never move from the heel cup- even without a heel lock lacing.
While many may complain about the tongue of the shoe being too hard, I appreciate the structure. Since the tongue isn’t padded, I don’t have issues with my arch having pain. I’ve not had problems with the tongue cutting the front of my ankle. But, that could just be the shape of my feet and ankles.
If you like Altras or you are looking for a shoe that is actually designed to be the shape of your normal walking foot, give these a go! The zero drop in them take a second to get used to, but once you are- they are fantastic!

Ready to wear right out of the box. Not Time needed to break them in. Felt great right away. Wide toe box is excellent for foot expansion during and after run. Love these shoes and they loos so fresh.

This is a nice combination of the previous Torins with better stability and good cushioning. But I was especially please to find the extra width at the toe back like the orginal Torins! Love the color too!

Got these for my mom for a general workout shoe -- from small gym, CrossFit, to a little running. She loved them, she's a big complainer about shoes not having arches and she likes these so. Needed something small stack with durability and cushion and they worked great.

Amazing shoe. The best Torin model Altra has. It's light with more space for your toes, awesome cushion and sit lower to the ground than the previous model so you feel more in touch with the road.
Also last longer than all the other models. Mine is still going strong 7 months in of steady use.

I have high arches and plantar fasciitis and these are the BEST shoes !!! I can get the inserts I need because it's a zero drop shoe. They are the only shoes I buy and have bought for the last 2 years!!! I've tried others and hate them and I always come back for the altra torins!!! I just wish they came in more colors and that the bottoms were in darker colors. I work at a hardware & pet store and I'm on my feet 9 1/2 hours on concrete floors

I was scared to buy these based on the low rating and negative reviews, but I'm glad I did. These shoes are awesome! They fit snug without feeling too tight, and my feet have been so comfy during all my runs. I can see why people are having issues with the tongue, it is very rigid. However, I wear crew socks and it has not bothered me once on any run (I just finished up a 9-miler). Just wear a higher sock and these shoes will deliver.

I have tried several pair of high end, name brand shoes over the past 6 months, trying to find something I can wear all day long. These Altra Women's Torin 5 are it. I'm 67, so I don't run or walk for miles at a time. These shoes allow my feet to be in the most natural position and I don't get a pain in the ball of my foot, like I do in all the other brands. Highly recommend. I have been wearing an 8 1/2 or 9 and I have these in a 10.

I just got back to running after a long break and happened upon Altras at the local running shop. The salesperson told me she runs in Altras and I figured...if they're good enough for her! Turns out they *are* good enough for me too! I was new to zero drop shoes and am so happy I switched-this just feels so much more natural. I had a knee "thing" previously and haven't heard a peep since running in these. Really think they're to thank. Finished my half feeling great. An Altra convert here!

the recommendation was to order a 1/2 size up from normal and I did. The 1/2 size was to too large. Ordered normal size and they fit perfectly. Love the beige color, will be great for spring and summer.

These shoes took a little to get used to with the no drop. But that's the only complaint. These shoes are so comfortable! Now I just got my second pair for trail. I think I'm hooked on altras!
