My podiatrist recommended your shoe, but when I told him I could not find either the women's 12 or men's 11.5 in grey with Wide fittings (which was why he recommended them to me) he will now stop recommending them to his patients. My first pair were the Women's 12 Wide Torino 5 Leather in black and they are super comfortable. I am compromising with Men's 11.5 standard because THERE IS NO WIDE in Women's or Men's. grrrr.

Great for walking on concrete and asphalt at work, but the glue holding the rubber outsole to the rest of the shoe failed in several places within a couple weeks.

On my 3rd day wearing them to work, the left shoe began making an annoying sucking/squeaking sound. I don't like wearing them now which is a shame for a rather expensive shoe..

It looked like a nice shoe and had to return but as an 80 yr old, I messed up on the return. Was dropped off with bottom part of packing slip at UPS on 6/6/24 at ~11:30 HST. Called to see if you rec'd on 6/26/24 but was told it has not yet and to call back on 7/12 to check. So will do next week.
Original order# 28175341 ordered on 5/31/24.

I'm a 10.5 EE. I have 3 gens of Paradigms, 3 gens of Cayds, 2 gens of Lone Peaks and I've tried the Escalante but too narrow. From the start I have ordered a 1/2 size up based on anecdotal customers' comments. With the Altra wide toe box this worked. The Lone Peak was available in a wide so I ordered my normal 10.5 size and it's the most comfortable shoe I've had. I see the Paradigm is now available in a wide. Anyway I wanted a closed show for winter so I finally tried their most expensive shoe the Torin 5 in leather in 10.5 wide and the different material makes the shoe much less accommodating than the Lone Peak and they are just too tight even in the wide model. So I'm going to do what I did before and order up a half-size and let it be nice and wide. Be advised you wide-footed folk.

I work in a restaurant and we need non slip shoes, since I loved my other altras so much I decided to try these and almost broke my neck on a wet floor. I was incredibly disappointed by the slip

I purchased this shoe for working in the kitchen as I am a chef. The shoe feels great however it's advertised as non slip. Unfortunately it is quite far from being remotely slip resistant. If there was a true non slip sole I'd buy this shoe again. However as of now I don't think I'd get another pair.

On my second pair of these over the course of the last year. Each pair has had the same issue. Rubber separating from the sole in the forefoot. I've been running in a pair of torin 5s for 300+ miles and they're in better shape than both the leathers after almost a year. Just wish the soles didn't fall apart on the leathers.

I have only worn these a few times so this is first impressions Love the Altra footbed; plenty of toe wiggle room. Leather upper led me to believe there’d be structure and support. Nope. My bad, should have paid more attention to the product details… 9 ounce running shoes. That said, they are comfortable and good looking. Hopefully, they’ll last long enough to justify the $160 price.

Seems very comfy but the wide is tighter than the Lone Peak. Needed to return.

I've been using these for work, where I'm on my feet for 8-9 hours per day. On both pairs I had, the rubber has separated from the midsoles. They're the most comfortable shoes I own, so I'm sticking with them until they're unwearable. 5 stars, if the soles didn't delaminate after 2.5 months.

The Torin 5 Leather is the only Altra black shoe I find with the mention of "slip-resistant." However, on a restaurant floor, these are like walking on a sheet of ice. Thankfully, my Via Olympus 2 works great in this environment.

Super comfy shoesno complaints there. But I bought these for work because they were labeled "slip resistant." Spoiler alert: they are not. I spent the whole shift fighting not to eat sh.

The rubber separated from the sole the first day I wore them and then the other side a month later: design defect I would say.
I love the wide toe box. These are 0 drop. I wish I could find a wide toe box shoe without zero drop. My insoles don't fill a zero drop heel and so these shoes squeak. The lace area does not allow room for much adjustment so they are a little tight on the top of my foot which my be due to the arch in my insoles.

Altra used to be good but lately the poor quality craftsmanship and bad quality have taken them down. They have also gone off the rails with repulsive color combinations. Shoes fall apart after several months, whereas my pair from 3 years ago still going strong.

The shoe is comfortable one, but from February to be worn out inside and outside on both, it is ridiculous how poor the Quality became for this model, I I am owning four pairs from altra, this is the worst model.

These shoes are supposedly leather but they don't feel like leather , it feels like cheap plastic and are way too expensive and there isn't much cushioning in them. They for sure aren't worth the price you are charging!!
The shoes you sell are getting worse every year for how they get worn out so fast. I've got to find another company to buy shoes from, it's a shame. I've waisted my money too many times hoping it would get better.

I war Altra nearly exclusively from road to trail to work and have owned several versions of the Torin. The all leather caught my eye bc I work in healthcare. Sadly, while the leather uppers were exactly what I needed, the sole delaminated from the foam midsole wayyyyy too quickly. I had the Torin 5 in the regular upper version and the soles are still intact now after many miles and even still now they are retired as yard work shoes. The leather version received far less use at work and were worn only inside but somehow the soles delam'd. Seems this was some sort of manufacturing issue. Would not recommend.

Came in a week ago. I do a lot of physical labor and working out. The soles were already coming apart after 3 days and it's continuing to get worse in other areas. Packing and sending back tomorrow

I really wanted to love these. I feel like my heel isnt held in place by the shoe and the stack height is higher than I would like. . Altra Lone Peaks and escalante's are some of the most comfortable shoes on the planet. I loved the Cayd's but since they dont make them anymore, I'm here. Altra: Make a black on black lone peak version with no knobs or Escalante. These are for work purposes. I just need something black on black. I dont need em to be leather. Please start offering shoes in black on black.

Altra shoes have really saved my heels. I suffered from heel pain for quite a few years and they've been a life saver.
But not this brand. It's brought back my heel pain with a vengence.

Even though this was not the original width, It was one of the very few I was able to find as either 12.5 or 13 wide with zero drop. Right toebox glue started to fail and heel started to after 3weeks
