This is hands down the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. The foot shape fit makes it feel like you are wearing nothing. I feel like I have better posture when wearing them. The shoe is very light and just downright comfortable. My first pair was the dark gray. The problem is the tread on the bottom peels off in weeks after wearing. It's like the glue/adhesive that was used was faulty. I decided to buy a second pair hoping they have resolved the issue because this shoe is truly that comfortable. I have had them for about 1 month and they are beginning to peel the same way as well. Very disappointed. It's very unfortunate because this shoe is so comfortable. For the price you are paying, this should not happen (and I have bought two pair now in less than 6 months!).

Liked the look & feel but unfortunately the production quality is terrible. Have emailed Altra to get it exchanged. Should have read the reviews before buying. Other Altra products (Solstice, Lone Peak) don't have that issue.

Shoe sole starting delaminating one month after I staring wearing it. The upper material is of poor quality as well. definitely a decrease in shoe quality. Altra needs to re think the manufacturing process

Previous Altra shoe purchases held up and were great. The shift to a toebox size option other than the original foot shape is contrary to the original reason of why I have chosen Altra over other running shoes. I have purchased two pair of the same style, Escalante racers within 6 months of each other. Only to have the same issue occur of the sole/ tread delaminating. Little customer service could do because both began this process after the 30 day policy. BOTTOM LINE: Altra team needs to re-evaluate who/ how their shoes are being manufactured and/or the quality of components that are used to make these shoes. Your 30 day return policy and hedging on the "wear and tear" response will not last long. In the end you will lose customers.

Wanted to love these shoes for the wide toe box. After walking in these shoes for several months, the rubber outsole is delaminating from the shoe. Tried with customer service, but they say it's wear and tear? LOL. I typically wear either a Brooks Ghost or ASICS Nimbus. I have not experienced the tread peeling off the outsole. Don't waste your money on these.

I love Altras generally. However, the individual small outer sole pieces glued on were a horrible design flaw though. Within 3-4 months they started falling off one by one. Shoe goo is not working.

Worst shoe from Altra there is no structure what so ever the foot wobbles from side to side and everually one side will cave in which will make it much worse I am a true Altra fan but after trying the new provision with its bad tongue design which digs into my foot I tried severa other models and they all were weird either in the fit and width or in the comfort and structure. I started wearing Altra with the Provision 2.5 which was amazing. But now I need to find another shoe company because it seems that Altra is drifting away from their original path trully unfortunate.

Shoe is falling apart after a couple of months of light wear. I rotate my shoes, and these are used for casual use. Would not buy again. Altra quality has really dropped.

At first they are fine, but now the adhesive glue is failing and the tread is coming off in exactly the same spot as every other review mentioning glue problems. They have not been worn anywhere near as much as my other Altra shoes.

The surface layer of the soles are coming unglued around the edges after two months and NO running. I wore these shoes for casual use. The worst part is that I filled out the online form for Altra and no response.

There was a 1/8th inch point like piece of plastic in the top of the ankle support just under the fabric that actually cut into my ankle. My replacement pair did not have this same issue, the plastic was smooth. They seemed to run about 1/2 size too small compared to my four other pairs of torins. I liked the grey better than the black, but the grey in the larger size was out-of-stock. Have not had this issue before with Altra quality control. No comment on arch support, I wear currex high-arch insoles. The replacement pair seems comfortable.

The upper is too tall for my ankle bone. The Torin 4 and Solstice XT2 were OK for not impinging on my ankle. Why on earth do they no longer make Torin 4? It was perfectly fine.

I received this shoe directly from Altra. It arrived very fast. The shoe looks good. It has plenty of toe room. The shoe is very hard on the inside soul. There is a very thin pad that doesn't offer much cushion. There were some sharp edges near the eyelets close to the top of the tongue. Overall, this was not a comfortable shoe. I ended up purchasing the Torin 4.5 Plush which was much more comfortable.

Altra has completely lost it. Their width in the toes is roughly the same as traditional running shoes now. That is: ridiculously NARROW. Absolutely no reason to buy Altras anymore. Beyond disappointed. Altra, you're losing/have lost your customers.
