The advice about sizing down seems correct. I normally take 9 1/2 and ordered a 9. It seems about right. Got it in the medium width which is the narrowest available and it fits my narrow foot quite well. But the toebox is not narrow so I have plenty of tow room. I like that.

Can't beat the traction of these shoes on slippery, muddy, steep inclines. Best traction I've ever experienced!!!

Very comfortable, grippy and easy to cinch up with the laces. Runs large, but they warn you of that when you order.

Really wanted to grab a pair of these but the size down sizing rec made me quite anxious. went ahead and ordered a 9.5 instead of my usual 10.5 and its a perfect fit and incredibly comfortable shoe, so great for walking NYC streets and light trails.

These were bought as kick-around shoes, they are spectacular for general wear.

Just got these and they are very comfortable. I usually wear and 8 1/2 and ordered the recommended size smaller. The 7 1/2 fits perfectly. I hope the elastic lace holds up over time.

I'm really enjoying these. I ordered a 10.5 and fits well. I couldn't have done with a size smaller as suggested. Good walkers.

I bought these for an African Safari. They were great and even the guides asked about them. They were comfortable and made going through airport security a breeze.

Only one small complaint: when cinched to tighten, the "tail" in back needs to be threaded through loop used to pull on shoe, otherwise it brushes against the legs. Otherwise GREAT shoe

Comfortable. But get a full size smaller than you normally get. In fact, you can probably wear a 1-1/2 size smaller than you normally wear.

I just had foot surgery about 10 weeks ago. Despite the fact that my foot was swollen the jungle box actually fit really well and can adjust to it. She is a very comfortable even without an operated on foot lol.

I've been a diehard fan of the "Jungle Moc" for several years. They're extremely comfortable, durable and can be easily worn for most all occasions. Seeing this new, unique style"Jungle Moc Explorer," caught my immediate attention. Have to admit, I wasn't immediately sure if it wasn't just a sales gimmick. Bought two pair on faith. Glad I did. This "Explorer" is more casual while offering the same comfort and durability. The elastic collar around the neck of the shoe is much like the elastic bands found on coats and jackets providing a nice snug fit at the wrist. I was further surprised at the "shoe-lacing." I Initially assumed this merely decorative. I was surprised to find it uniquely functional. The shoelace is knotted behind the heel, with a barrel lock. Pulling the knot tightens the laces cross the entire bridge of the shoe. Once you've tightened the lace, simply lock the lace in place with the barrel slip-lock, getting a nice snug, comfortable fit. This shoe wears like a crossover Tennis Shoe/Hiking Boot. Yet another great shoe by Merrill.

I enjoy these shoes. Good for hiking and general use. I often wear them to work (office in a university setting). A little stiffer than the regular Jungle Mocs, but that helps on the trail. Tension cord helps get a good tight fit, and you can also slacken it if you want more flex. They do run large. I am usually a 8.5 Medium or wide and got an 8. I could probably go down to a 7.5, but I tend to wear hiking socks with these, so the fit is good when I tighten the cord.

Follow Merrell's advice on sizing! This is my new favorite, all around comfortable shoe, but Merrell enough for daily hiking the dogs.

I bought this Moc mainly for casual wear around the house but found I wear it most of the time except for heavy duty walking. It is extremely comfortable. I followed the advice on the website and bought a size smaller than my normal size, a good decision.

I've worn the standard Jungle Mocs before and currently have a brown and black smooth leather pair. I do make one modification, I replace the standard laces with 1/8" shock cords. You can buy them in different colors, mine are black. It makes them even easier to put on and remove. Comfort is super. I'm 300 pounds and I wear these all day long with no issues. They are extremely durable and I expect them to last a long time. I plan on buying another color soon.

Probably not as durable as the classic moc and could do without the weird lace system but the light weight and breathability make for the most comfortable version to date. And i have owned them all.
