Excellent shoes. I've worn Brooks Ghost since the 11. I have not found one that fit me as well as the 11 however. I had to return this 14 due to my usual size being just a tad bit short. If I go up even just a half size, they are too large. Therefore I searched until I found another 11. It is probably the last one I will be able to find. Hopefully next year the new Ghost will be perfect for me again. Note, it is my feet, not the shoe!

These shoes are extremely comfortable, with arch support suitable for my needs. The width is a bit wide for my foot at the front part of the shoe, and if I were to order them again, I'd order a narrower shoe. But while walking, I no longer have the pains on the top of my foot, or the back of my heel, so it's good.

These are REALLY comfortable. I am a women's 8, with slightly wide feet (not very), and average arches. I like a wide toe box. These feel great on first try-on, no rub-points, well-cushioned, comfortable width but not too wide. My big toe touches the top of the shoe a little (although the length seems right)--I'm ordering the 8.5 women's wide to compare and will update. These look fine (I ordered the gray color), but not fabulous (compared to Solomon, for example). They also had a strong chemical smell when they first came out of the box (augh). But for me, these are keepers--I'm hoping they stay as comfortable as on first wearing.

I loved the wide toe box, but the comfort of the sole was lacking. There was very little padding from under the ball of the foot up through the toes. This was a big deal for me - and triggered the return.

I ordered these in the exact size all my other brooks were which is 9.5 wide but these feel more narrow than the regular and are definitely not wide. I wear them very rarely hoping to widen them but they hurt my feet. I should have returned but didn’t get to in time. If you order these please know they are not the wide width they used to be.

I've bought Ghost for years until now, they have been WONDERFUL. This model shoe has next to no arch support and there is NO support under my sole. They are hard right out of the box. And as usual (despite my complaints directly to Brooks) all I can usually get in wide width is dreary black because almost all of their wide width colors are ugly. These are going back, and I publicly thank Zappos for their thoughtful and generous return policy.

I wanted to like the shoe but my heel kept slipping upwards when I walked.

I’ve worn Brooks Ghost since the Ghost 8. Not sure what has happened, but these 14’s are way different in the fit. They are narrower, and just so hard in the insole with less cushioning, and not nearly the same arch support. What will I do without my beloved Ghosts??!

Too small and narrow.

The shoe appears to be well made, and it’s well cushioned. I’ve always had to buy new balance in D width, as there aren’t many Wide brands/options for women. I finally used the Zappos filters to try a different shoe, and know that Brooks are highly rated and well loved. Compared to my New Balance, the 10W (my regular size) ran slightly short and still narrow. I also felt the heel was too shallow—Like it didn’t come up high enough at the back of my foot/ankle. I can’t decide whether to try a half-size up or give-up and go back to my old default brand ??

This would be my 5th pair of ghosts but I’m returning because the 14 model feels narrower in toe box. My typical size is 7.5 D and this shoe is too narrow. Please bring back the 12 model’s toe box, Brooks!

I have a narrow heal and a wide toe box, these shoes were great everywhere except by my toes. Loved the feel and the style, just not for me.

I decided to try a more expensive shoe because I walk 2-3 miles almost every day. I love the style but the inside cushion is almost nonexistent. The bottoms of my feet are hurting more than with my cheap sneakers. I’m really disappointed and I don’t understand why the cushioning is lacking especially for the price of the shoe.

Buy 1/2 size smaller, shoe looks wide and big, fits large.

I wanted to love these. At first, when I put them on, they felt soft and comfortable. They looked good and felt good. Over the first couple of days of wearing them, I was pleased. Then, I realized my feet and legs were hurting every day. I am feeling the way I do when I'm wearing shoes that are worn out. But, I'm not! I'm wearing $150 Brooks! These are simply not working out for me.

While the overall fit seemed fine the shoe just felt stiff, I expected more cushion. I have planter fasciitis and many people have had great success with the Ghost line of shoes. I might have kept them hoping they'd break in and feel better, but they aren't that good looking, I'd settled for a color I wasn't really happy with, the choices were lousy, and I'm not dropping $150 on something I don't absolutely love! Sending them back.

I walk 6+ miles a day. I need a shoe that is comfortable, has arch support and is also stylish. That's a tall order. These shoes are both cute and comfortable, however they are only comfortable for 3 miles after that the ball of my foot starts to hurt. The arch support is definitely lacking in this shoe. Also, the box states that Brooks designs their shoes with full body comfort in mind, specifically stating knees and backs. My knee does hurt when wearing these which is probably due to lack of arch support. To sum up, these are cute and good for a 3 mile walk or run.

I have a pair of Brooks Ghost 12 that I really love and a pair Ghost 13s. I do not like the changes that have happened since version 12. They are not as cushy and no longer have the extra heel feature - and the heel area has worn out quickly without it. Please consider how great of a shoe the 12 was and bring back some of those features!

I really liked these shoes, but had to return them because I felt the arch in the shoe wasn’t matching my foot arch and caused pain. Other than that, fit was great, true to my normal size.

Very uncomfortable. Sole is too firm. Heel is loose but shoestrings not long enough to use extra hole. Although I have always wore a size 8, these feel off somehow. Definitely could not run in them. However they are really cute. I would return if I had not wore them already.

This does not feel like a wide shoe. I still miss the Brooks Ghost 10 from a few years ago. They messed around with the toe shape, width and arch.

Not the same fit and feel as my Ghost 13. Size 7 okay, but there's a narrower toe box on this new version. Not the same shoe, for me. I returned the shoes.

I have been a huge Brooks fan for the last several years. On my 5th pair and have never thought once of complaining. Put them on and go! People have stopped me to ask about my Brooks (no lie) and I have always lauded these shoes. And along comes the Ghost 14. Brooks, what have you done??? Arch support is lacking, the tongue of the shoes is very hard and digs into the front of my ankle. What is up with that? The laces feel cheap. Yeah, "carbon neutral"...don't care. These soles are soulless, lack any give or comfort, and lack arch support. I've never used an insert, now had to purchase some SuperFeet which I haven't used since my last Asics pair (quit buying after they redesigned and blew a good thing). Just re purchased Ghost 13s, the last ones in my size. Brooks, stop messing with success!! You had a great product. Please don't make me have to find another brand!!

I am SOOOO sad - the Brooks Ghost 14 has a narrower toe box than the previous models. I love the Ghost 12s and 13s. They had a roomier toe box without the heel being to wide. The 14s aren't super narrow but definitely aren't as generous in that area. Disappointing!
