I bought these a few months back and loved the selection of colors. Who doesn't appreciate styling while meeting each day. After a foot injury left me requiring neutral shoes with a stability factor I appreciate that these accommodated my custom (required) orthotics. But after about 3 weeks of wear the one shoe started to show flaws and allowed my foot and ankle to roll outward. I wish it had happened before I ever wore them outside. Very disappointing in the Brooks manufacturing standards for this Ghost 14. Also, Brooks should stop using flat laces.
I'd also recommend:
Brooks and Ascis neutral foundations with style

I LOVE Brooks. I have only worn the Brooks Launch/Ghost for the past 8 years as a casual runner, but these newer model of the Ghosts really disappointed me. I'm marathon training...so with all the increased mileage, I've gone through three pairs of the Ghost 13, and they are incredible shoes. Compared to the Ghost 13, the Ghost 14 has a toe box that is more narrow which caused my right toe to become bruised after my long run. Also, they are less cushiony and have a different feel from all previous versions that I have owned (10 through 13). I'm sad because I love all the previous versions of the Ghost....Please bring back a model similar to the older versions!

The shoes are great - just not enough support for me. The Adrenaline GTS are best for me.

Shoes for ants?
Ordered three pairs to try, one in 11D womens and two others from Brooks in 9.5D mens. I’m an 11D foot (female) and not a single shoe fit me. I stopped trying to fit the 3rd pair on my foot, they were all so tight. The D width is a joke for wide feet. I have no idea what is up with the sizing but these run tiny. I’m not willing to keep trying various sizes via Zappos because the show also felt really stiff and although stylish looking, I need it to be comfortable. Wearing tight cardboard isn’t going to cut it. I am sad to say Brooks may not be for me. I have a pair of 11D Hokas that fit me fine and are comfortable but not so stylish, so I was hoping Brooks would come through. Major disappointment.

I had heard so many great things about these. Tried them and after a couple days started having knee pain. Maybe I need a different style.

I wanted to love them because I?ve loved the previous versions but I just couldn?t love them I had to return them :-( I?ve suffered from numerous stress fractures in the past but since switching to Ghosts a few years back I haven?t had any. Sooooo with that said I?ve been that person that?s owned several colors of each version. I?m very limited in colors bc I have to get the wide so let?s just say I?ve had lots of blacks/grays/whites but having loved them the similar colors didn?t stop me. The 14 though I just did not like and had to return. Just from trying them on my feet hurt and felt so uncomfortable. They fit very different from the previous versions. The shoelaces feel like they are cutting off circulation in the feet the shoe feels so much more loose compared the former versions and it?s almost like you have to tie them super tight with very thin laces that just kind of cut through. I?m really hoping the new ones this summer have a much more similar fit to the 13s than the 14s, if not I?ll sadly be on the hunt for a different shoe. I purchased two different ones of the 13s and wishing I had bought more when I had the chance, granted again in a wide there was only 1 or 2 other options in the beginning. Pleassssse bring back something like the 13s.

I have had several of these shoes! The sizing has changed and I had to go up a size and to a wide. The quality has definitely gone down.

I?ve owned Ghosts since the 10?s/11?s, and they used to be my favorite shoes of all time. I?ve worn these 14?s a few times to walk around on flat ground, and my feet, knees, and lower back start hurting pretty badly after 40 minutes. I?m so disappointed in these 14?s. I?ve usually gotten size 6.5 with past Ghosts, but I needed a 7 for these because they felt tighter. I bought this pair at an SM department store in the Philippines since I?m here for a long-term tourist visit.

I wore Brooks Ghost for years but the wide options keep getting more and more narrow that they are painful to run in. Do not recommend for wide feet.

Although I have a pair of "Ghost" which I absolutely love, this new version is too narrow in the toe box for me. I'm disappointed as I was elated to see that Zappos was actually carrying my favorite sport shoe.

I have had the Ghost 12 and 13 before these 14's. I have wide feet. The 14's are about 1/4" more narrow than the 12's. They seem to be getting more narrow. The 13's I could tolerate. The 14's made my feet and therefore my knees hurt after trying them out. Had to return.

I have not tried these on. I have ordered the Brooks Ghost from Zappos for many years and have always received clean new shoes, that fit true to what I have ordered. This time though, Zappos sent worn shoes. The first hint upon opening them is the laces were laying all over in the box. Next the heels were scuffed and last the bottoms were dirty. It seems there was not an attempt to clean them at all before reselling them. Since I spent $150 on these, I expect better from Zappos.

Disappointed in the Ghost 14. I discovered the Ghost 13 about a year and a half ago, and couldn?t have been happier. They were very supportive and provided excellent support for my high arches and kept my plantar fasciitis at bay. However, since my recent switch to the Ghost 14s about a month ago, I have been experiencing knee pain as well as discomfort on the ball of my foot. Hoping the latest Glycerine model will be able to give me what I am looking for.

Quality issue. One shoe was cut noticeably differently than the other, making the fit uncomfortable. I always love my Ghosts but this time, I was so disappointed with the Quality.

I have Ghost 13s which were great so I thought I was just upgrading to Ghost 14s but they are killing my feet. My heels are really hurting.

I've worn ghost for many years and they have always been my favorite running shoes but this year's version is awful. The toe box is much more narrow and there is less cushion than the ghost 12s. Sadly I already went for a run wearing them and can't return them. Please bring back the old design.

I love Brooks but these run small. I always wear an 8.5 but these fit tight and are not as comfortable as my other Brooks

Well made attractive, but the toe box isn't high enough to accommodate my foot. I couldn't wear without my orthotics - therefore didn't even try to fit them into these shoes. First time Brooks purchase, may try another style.

I have worn Ghost 12 and 13. Until they fall apart. Ghost 14 does not have as much cushion or spring, "recovery or recoil" after a 12 hour shift my heels hurt. So I won't be buying anymore 14s.

I had to return them. The size 9 was larger than the Ghost 9 1/2's I had before.

Not too comfortable/ soft, small toe box, runs narrow. Shoe laces a bit shorter, not as breathable as other brooks.

The couple of stars are for the shoe this could be if not for the awful change to the laces from the Ghost 13 that made them unwearable. The 14 is quite similar, but Brooks decided to change the laces. They never stay tied, I had to stop every couple of blocks to retie them. In addition, they are shorter - in other words, too short to double knot to prevent the untying. Also, they have no "give" or stretch to them like the laces on the 13, so I could never get a comfortable fit. Every time I had to retie the laces the shoe would either feel too constricting if I tied them tighter, or too loose if I tied them looser. I can't believe something as simple as a lace could ruin what used to be a great shoe. If not for the fact that the laces were color coordinating, I'd have considered buying new laces, but honestly for the cost of the shoe ($10 more than the previous model with the higher quality laces) I really shouldn't have to. Had to return them and exchange for the 13, which unfortunately will become obsolete soon, so unless Brooks goes back to the old lace type, I'll have to look for another brand. Such a shame.
