I was a huge Ghost 13 fan. I had 3 pairs that I wore through over the course of 15 months. I was starting to feel my Ghost 13s we're burnt out and with none being available- I was convinced to try out the Ghost 14. I have had them for a month and already feel they are worn out. I do not use my shoes for running- only walking daily. I feel the shoe has already worn down, the laces constantly come undone. My feet feel unsupported and tired after being in the shoe for only an hour. I don't feel the same endurance my Ghost 13s had or the same makeup of materials surrounding the shoe. I'm unhappy with my purchase and wish I had a pair of sneakers I could rely on daily. I have a past history of knee and ankle issues and my Ghost 13s were always reliable for me to get around without pain. With the Ghost 14s, part of my feet and knees that have never caused me issues have felt tender, sore and irritated. I'm not sure what to do anymore. Seems like I'm back to the drawing board on finding the perfect shoe.

I was disappointed. I searched online reviews/information for the best, most comfortable shoes for my high arches/supination. The Ghost 14 seemed to be the best option so I took a chance, sight unseen. I wore them around my house first and my feet actually hurt within the first 30 minutes. I gave them some time, thinking they would soften, but alas no. They will sit in the closet with all the other uncomfortable shoes I have tried.

The fit and size was great! My first time trying Brooks Ghost. They weren't as comfortable as I thought they would be. I returned.

Overall quality has diminished over the past few years. The back of the new shoes have already fallen apart within three months. This goes for the past two pairs that I have purchased. Please note that I have not changed my behavior when putting on or removing the shoes. I have an old pair that is still intact in the same area. In addition, the older pair still provides more support and cushioning on the ball of the foot than the new version, even though most of the tread is worn out. I'm disappointed as I've worn Brooks for many years but will be looking for a new brand that works for me...

I have had my Brooks about 4 weeks and the fabric on top of the shoe is starting to tear, very disappointed in this, the shoe its self is very comfortable

Way more narrow than previous ghost models. Smaller toe box as well. Ghosts are usually my go-to for running but unless these "break in" I don't know if I can use them. They felt good in the store but you know how that goes. The true test always come later, unfortunately. If you get the Ghosts because you have wide feet and you need the big toe box, you may want to look for something different.

I ordered the same size as usual Brooks shoes but I these felt small. I measured them against several other pair I have and yes they are at least one size shorter! I loved the color and style but too short does not work.

I AM NOT A RUNNER. But runners need to hear this anyway. I have the kind of feet that need to wear supportive shoes everyday, no matter what (plantar fasciitis, etc). I walk, work, and play in them. I don't run in them. This is the first pair of Brooks Ghost that has begun to disintegrate before 4 months of wearing! The heel fabric is worn through (never happened in past Ghosts), the toes have worn through (NO reason for this...) and they make the MOST ANNOYING SQUEAKING sound all.day.long. I bought the black and magenta version, size 8.5 wide 6 months ago, and I've been in denial that they are substandard shoes for 4 months. I'm so disappointed, yet, I'm back here to try another pair because these have always, always been the best for my dumb feet.

The shoe is comfortable and supportive but but the insides wore our way before the sole. the fabric and padding inside the heel notch shredded before there was discernible wear of the treads. The remaining bare plastic was painful and I had to replace the shoes. I use a shoe horn to try to protect the shoes, but to no avail.

They are comfortable for a short period of time. I think they are overpriced for what they claim they are.

I expected the Ghost 14 to fit my feet like a glove, just as my Ghost 12s had. I was impressed with the styling and appearance of the Ghost 14, but when I wore them on a short one mile walk, my feet were in agony. I thought I must have taken out the insole and forgotten to put it back in. But I had not. I realized that no amount of breaking in was going to make these shoes more comfortable, so I returned them.

As an RN on my feet all day I’m always in search of a comfortable and stylish shoes. I’ve read good things about this shoe & decided to give them a try. I had them on for about 5 minutes, removed them, put them back in their box, generated a return, put on one of my 3 pairs of ON cloudflyers & left for work with happy feet.

Compared to my old Ghost 13. these were totally too narrow, and the materials were not as high quality. Too bad they didn't leave it alone

I love the style of this shoe, but after two tries, the orthotic cut on the right shoe caused discomfort and ultimate leg pain during my 3 mile jog. I get out several times a week and after 2x, my right leg was incredibly sore, with shin splits coming on. The left shoe was perfectly comfortable, but the right shoe’s arch support seemed to be in the wrong place. I’ve never had this issue before, so I thought maybe it was just this shoe. I tried a second order (thanks to Zappos amazing customer service), but alas the issue was the same. Unfortunately I needed to opt for a different brand. I normally wear a size 7-1/2, but size up a half size for my running shoes. The size 8 is true to size, the medium width is comfortable. The collar opening of the shoe seems a bit high or stiff, and I noticed that around my ankle bones felt a bit sore. However, this might just mean it needs to be broken in more. I’m posting a pic of me riding my cruiser bike because sadly running is not an option for me with this shoe. ?

I was so excited to upgrade from the Ghost 13 to the 14. It is difficult for me to find shoes in a width that are truly comfortable and do not hurt my feet. These Ghost 14 shoes, even in the "wide" sizes are so small and narrow. They feel nothing like the Ghost 13 and offer much less support. I am returning them.

I've been a huge fan of this series since the 9s. One of my absolute favorite things about the Ghosts was that the toe box was always roomy and they didn't rub or pinch during long runs. This new pair is way too narrow and so I completely avoid wearing these 14s, opting for the previous version (13s) instead and hoping that the next version gets changed back or I'll have to find a new go-to running shoe.

Very comfortable and lightweight shoe, but after 4 months of wearing (got for xmas and started wearing in Feb) the fabric is ripped and wearing off the heal. Only wear for walking and never in any adverse conditions. Very expensive for poor quality.

I ordered a wide but still tight around toes, inflamed my neuroma, and calluses. Not very well cushioned on ball of feet. Sadly will have to return.
