I have been wearing Brooks Ghost for years now, since Ghost 10. I absolutely love them, so when I bought my new Ghost 14 Limited Edition Coral Cloud I was beyond excited. Except they fit funny. I have always been an 8.5, but these feel too big now. Maybe now Brooks are true to size since I am normally an 8 with other brands. I still wear them, but my older pairs definitely fit better and different. I want to order more prints, but want to know if it was a weird glitch or has the sizing changed for good with Ghost? So when I say it runs large, I mean in comparison to past Ghost models. It now seems to run true to size though I never officially tried on the 8 yet.

The Brooks Ghost 14 was not as comfortable as I was hoping, very little cushioning. The length was true to size. I ordered a wide and this is more narrow than any wide shoe I've ever bought. I'm not going to risk my arches wearing it without a better insole. However, there isn't much room in the shoe for that, even though it's a wide. The main reason I have kept them is because they do not have a gusseted tongue. I'm finding that the higher end of neutral, cushioned, running shoes now have a gusseted tongue, making it difficult to get my high arch, high instep/volume foot down into. I've had to return several pair of other name brand athletic shoes for this reason. I also have plantar fasciitis, making shoe buying more difficult. I haven't worn them outside yet as I was still undecided if they will work. If you have normal feet, you may love these. I do like the style and navy color. Zappos is great!

It seems to run narrow and longer though I got the Wide. I have bunions and wide feet.

When I put on a different version of the Ghost, the shoes were immediately comfortable out of the box. The Ghost 14 was a very different experience. The arch support seemed to make my foot ache and after 1 walk in the shoes I developed knee pain. Something about these shoes and I just didn't get along.

It is frustrating when the manufacturer changes a shoe so that it fits totally different from a year earlier. Half size too small and narrow for a wide.

I've worn Ghost shoes for several yrs as I'm on my feet all day. I've never had my feet to hurt at the end of the day, until I wore the Ghost 14. Not sure whats changed, but it wasn't for the better. I ordered another pair of Ghost 13 because they are more comfortable. Please fix this. I fear as new styles come out, the new generations won't hold up as well in comfort and cushioning.

These fit perfectly. Super comfortable and supportive with lots of cushioning. My favorite Brooks yet. I am ordering another pair to have for when this pair wears out. The wide size is just right without being too wide like New Balance wide.
I'd also recommend:
I only wear Brooks sneakers because they come in wide sizes.

I've been ordering the same size in Brooks for years but this time they were super big? Not sure if there has been a change or I just got the random pair marked 9 but was actually a 10?

Not enough depth in the toe, so I cannot fit my foot with the arthritic toe into the shoe without great pain. Please go back to the previous toe depth!

I am a loyal fan to Brooks' Ghosts and have always loved each upgrade. I think I have been with the Ghost family since Ghost 7! Unfortunately, my latest purchase of Ghost 14 has not been my favorite. I have hit about 100 miles in them and have not been happy with them. I keep telling myself that maybe it will get better ?. I am curious if there is more of a drop in the arch, as I have had pain in my arch following a long run. I usually do not get any pain there, but now do. If Customer Service sees this- can you please confirm if there was a change to the arch or mid portion of the shoe? Thank you! Please make 15 like your previous ones!!!

I ordered the same size I wear in my new balance sneakers; but I found these too small. They fit but were not wide enough. Disappointed in the sizing.

I love the colors of these new Ghost, and I got the NYC marathon editions. I've done okay in Ghost 13, as I prefer the Adrenaline GTS, but I gave Ghost 14 a shot. They're narrow and the top of my ankle hurts in these. I'm also having foot pain like if it had no support. The designs are nice, but definitely not going to be my running shoe. I'll stick with Adrenaline GTS

I have to echo another reviewer's comment about how the toe box feels narrower in the Ghost 14 than it was in the Ghost 13. I used to run in Brooks Pure Flow, and switched to the Ghost 13 when the Pure Flows were phased out. So when it came time to buy new shoes, I tried the Ghost 14s, foolishly imagining they'd be the same or better than the 13s. But no, these are going back, because running for only a few minutes hurt my toes. And I'm ordering a few pairs of the 13s before they're all sold out! Hopefully the 15s will be more like the 13s.

Like many others, I also feel that the Ghost 14 is inferior to previous versions. I personally loved the Ghost 12 and even Ghost 13 was better. Please bring back some of the older features which for me was more ankle support. Somehow the shape of this shoe is not giving me the support of previous ghosts. I have been wearing Ghost since the Ghost 10, I believe, and prior to this was wearing Adrenaline's but I liked the Ghosts so much that I switched only to Ghost. Please bring back the 12s!!!

I strongly prefer the Ghost 13 which worked very well for me (3-5 mi runs), over the 14 model. The Ghost 13s run slightly shorter. The 14's feel longer than prior models- because the design makes the toe joint "bend" at a different location (farther from the tip of the shoe)-- it would not work for me and didn't want to size down. On the plus side, the Ghost 14 has less fabric on top, which would be good for me as the 13's are made for people with a higher instep or a thicker foot (I have to cinch the 13's very tight but it works). The 14's are very well-cushioned. I was not able to try them out on a run, to know if this worked for me, as they felt platform-like and may be too much "shoe". All in all the Ghost 13's have been almost perfect and the 14's are VERY different. I'm stocking up on 13s!! Please don't make such major changes each year.

I?ve been wearing ghosts forever. The extreme lack of color (what?s with all the unattractive gray and almost neutral colors? Wait , One color ? pink. Ugh) has driven me to try other brands. I can?t be the only one giving you this input. Bottom line you?re ghost colors are boring and sad.

After wearing these on a short jog and house errands, I had a sore spot on the left side of my left foot. I took them off and was sore for the rest of the day. I ordered my regular size, 8.5 and usually take a 39 Euro, but these were 40 Euro. Still, they should not have caused pain. Disappointed.

My foot is hard to fit - status post 4 surgeries on the joints between my big toes and foot, wide foot, high arch, narrow heel, and I’m a supinator. On the recommendation of a shoe fitter, I tried the Ghost 11’s and they were terrific right out of the box in my usual 7W. Sadly, they really needed to be replaced, so I tried the Ghost 14, which didn’t fit in the 7W. I returned for a 7.5 W - Better, but not entirely comfortable and it seemed like they turned my foot out. I tried wearing them for a bit, but after only about an hour, they made my feet hurt so much I had to take them off. So I’ve returned them. Although I wouldn’t have returned for the look alone, I liked the Ghost 11’s style much better and quality of the material also seemed better. When I returned the 7W, I also tried a Ghost 13. Better look, better fit than the 14’s, but not really comfortable, so they went back, too. Very disappointed by these changes to the Ghost.

Get the 13s if you have wide feet. I wanted to love the new Ghost 14, but I couldn't. I am a big fan of Ghosts but this model is very different from previous versions. Definitely, if you have wide feet, not a shoe for you. I ran a few miles and my feet did hurt. I returned the 14 and got the 13 instead.
