Unfortunately the "gel" in the sole was way too soft, the stride kept moving my foot on an outward arch, the heel support was connected to the top of the laces area and when walking fast you could feel the tension pull across the upper area of the foot.

The gel in the sole gives a no support feeling, upon touching the sole of the shoe the gel area was too soft to give support.

IT IS NOT 4E, EXTRA WIDE IS NOT 4E AS I ORDERED! With my orthotic in and the insert out, this sneaker does not work for me like Brooks do.

I have bought a new pair of Gel Kayano every year since version probably 12. I am usually a size 9 in every other shoe but I have always gotten a size 8 1/2 in this. This year I got the new version in 8 1/2 and it was huge even compared to my old ones. I tried the 8's which were also too big, so I settled with a 7 and 1/2 and the fit was ok. I bought two pairs: One for outside walking and one for indoor workouts. I walked twice in them and got the worse blisters on my heel where the insole meets the side of the shoe. I have NEVER had Gel Kayanos do this. So luckily I hadn't used the these indoor ones yet and will return them and hopefully deal with the other pair for workouts. So disappointed after years of loving this shoe.

This new model has created havoc on my feet, as I am usual runner(4+ miles 5 times a week) and differently than the previous model, GEL-Kayano 27, which was a perfect fit and performance. Will have to change to another brand or a similar model GEL-Kayano 27.

I usually order Brooks Beasts 14E. I wanted to try a different shoe being I have worn Brook’s for 10 years. These shoes were maybe a normal width even though they claimed to be a 4EE.

I had bought this model three years previously. They have been very good - good fit, good endurance When I tried to reorder at the same size they were way too small. I also lost my $35.00 discount when I returned them. Not pleased.

Too narrow for a 4E, cheaply made for an ASICS shoe. Disappointed.

The shoes were super narrow! should've listened to all the reviews that gave me pause. The width isn't like previous versions. This has been an ongoing problem with running shoes. I have read this and each time buyingmis a gamble. This shoe wasn't even a normal width. I am shocked and encourage those with wide feet not to buy it.

I had to return these sneakers, which was a huge surprise to me. I've been wearing Kayanos for 20 years, but this model has way too much padding around the ankles. Weird, but just not working for me.
