This was my 7th pair of HOKA's and the only pair I returned. When I saw them added to the catalogue I was excited as the description was exactly what I was looking for. I really liked the Tigers eye color.
I ordered my usual size but the fit was simply off. It has a roomy arch and heel, but a tight toe box. Simply very odd. I am hesitating to see if I want to order another pair to see if the ones I received were simply an outlier or that the last that was used to make this line is not proportioned as it is for other HOKA models.
I tried them with heavy, medium and thin socks but could never get a comfortable fit; comfort is what I expect from HOKA above all.
These shoes also felt 'clunky' when just walking In them, let alone running. I want to put on my HOKA's and forget they are on my feet.

On the positive side, this is a great looking shoes that promises everything I am looking for and am willing to buy.
I buy directly from HOKA and this was my 7 th pair of HOKA shoes. Previous ones (mostly in the Bondi line) are comfortable. This pair seems to have been made on an odd last that distorts the proportions in both shoes; especially in the toe box which is too narrow even though it is the same size shoe I have ordered previously. I tried different weights of socks with the shoes and wore them for a few days thinking they would loosen up, which they did a little but they still had a pinch in them.
Very disappointed that I had to return them.

I have two pairs of Gaviota's and one of Anacopa's. They feel great! Most comfortable sneakers and hiking shoes ever. Just wish there were a better selection of "average-guy" colors.

This shoes has a couple of major design flaws. 1. The flap in the back of the heel is not stiff and it always squished into the shoe when I try to slip them on. 2. The heel of the sole is too long so when you’re going down stairs it scrapes and catches on the back of the steps. There’s no room for the rest of my foot on the steps. This is dangerous.

Expected to really like the shoe as replacement for Hoka TorSummitt, but didn't find it comfortable (was stiff), and lacked cushioning. Replaced with Hoka Kaha low and much better cushioning and comfort.

I wear pediatric orthotics, and in my left foot, a very thin, hard, flat carbon plate. It keeps my arch from bending while I walk. But they were too much for the Hoka's. It was too tight.
Which is too bad, because aside from the tightness, they seemed very comfortable.
While, my New Balance walkers seem to be fine with the orthotics.

I bought this shoe after being a fan of the Tor Ultra series (low and high versions). I was looking for a better fitting hiking shoe with everyday versatility. After the first 10 or so miles of regular use the shoe felt great. It fits well, it's comfortable/plush, but still responsive. It checks ALL the boxes, but here's the drawback for me, I have had increased instability in my right ankle since I began using this as my every day shoe. I wear Oofos recovery slides around the house and the Anacapas out, I've moved in them, worn them on urban treks and the longer I've worn them, the more I've had an increased feeling of instability, tenderness in my Achilles, and a deep pain in my ankle joint. I'm popping in some CureFlex inserts, instead of the stock Hoka ones to see if it helps. It could just be that I need additional support because this a different shoe than my others (New balance 990s, Keen Yoguis). Idk! Hopefully no one else has the experience because I love the look, feel and function!

Nice looking shoes, the sizes are definitely running at least a half size smaller than the New Balance shoes I'm currently wearing. I have no idea where the hell they are going with men's shoe sizes. As an adult I've went from a size 12 D to now I'm returning a size 14 D because they were to small?????????? Come on, the industry needs to get their shit together.

Tread wore very quickly, and edges peeled away from base of sole. Not a very rugged and durable shoe

I really wanted to love these shoes, I really liked the look, colors, and gore-tex. But they’re so uncomfortable for my feet. I usually wear a 10/ 10.5, preferably 2e width but not absolutely needed. I purchased a 10.5 and still had about 1/4- 1/3 inch of space for my big toes. Reviews online elsewhere say this shoe has a wide pattern/ fit but that was not true for me. They are not super narrow but definitely not any bit wider than normal. My feet did not like the stiff contours of the insole/ interior footbed either.

The shoe looks great but feels too big, it also doesn't feel as supportive as I'm used to. I even checked to make sure I didn't order the wrong size.

I had to return the shoes. I love the Bondi 8. I wanted these for hiking in the nearby state park. they were just not comfortable for me. I had some discomfort across the top of my foot where it breaks as you take a step. I really wanted to like them but I really appreciate the return policy.

My shoe size is 8 but the sizing off by .5 inch & had to return the shoe. I would still try HOKA but buy store instead of ordering online.

I have had several pair of Hoka shoes for the last few years and really like them. I recently bought these hikers and do not like the way they fit nor feel when hiking.

Like I already said, I didn't like the shoe so I returned it.
I removed the flimsy, cheap insole HOKA puts in its shoes, shame on you HOKA, and inserted a memory foam insert. Makes a huge difference usually but not in this shoe.

This would have been my fourth pair of Hokas, but they were far too stiff and heavy, especially compared to my other Hoka's, which I love.

If one can get a 4E wide it is a great shoe but normal width is too narrow and will hurt feet big time

Great shoes but color values on website stink. Shoe color on website darker than in person. In person shoes looked pink and light tan - instead of beige and tan. Do not exhange ask for refund. Exchange is a 15-20 day turn around due to slow boat usps return ship, warehouse pull/pack, and outbound shipping. Its a joke. Bought Kurus.

Unfortunately I had to return them. I was looking for something that had some extra heel cushion that would give my knees a break on the downhill part of hikes. These didn't have that cushion that I expected and they pronated to the inside noticeably. Also they seemed to make my lower back feel uncomfortable. This is just me though. In general I've had excellent luck with Hokas and they have an excellent return policy. The hikers just aren't for me.

I use these for hiking in Southern California. The foot bed is great and the perfect balance between firm and comfortable.
The top of the shoe for me in my environment, near Anacapa,
does not need to be waterproof. Much too hot. Same shoe with a breathability would be perfect. The speedgoat version 4 was great but the version 5 got too flimsy in the soles so I had to move to the Anacapa.
