Heard about Hokas from my sister who is an avid runner. I wanted great running shoes, and they are great for that, but they are also so comfortable that I wear them as walk around/daily shoes some stones too. Fully recommend!

WOW!!! Put these on this morning and my first reaction is WOW!!! I've never had a running shoe feel so good on my feet. I'm a big guy (6' 300lbs) who like to walk. The back of my heal protrudes out such that I need a deep heal-cup to keep the back of my foot down and not rubbing up and down as I walk. These Hoka's do that! The shoe is light, yet feels well-constructed...we'll see how it wears. I've worn New Balance 990v5, well-constructed, but heavy and not much cushion. I've also worn Brooks Adrenaline GTS 21's, which are a little heavier, not much, than these Hoka's, but nowhere near the cushion feel. The only thing I don't love about the Hoka Clifton 8 so far is that the laces feel a bit cheap, but I can easily fix that. Time to take 'em out for a walk!

I have 3 pairs of the Hoka Clifton 8's and love the brand and the Shoe, they are the best fitting show for my running style. Every year the new Clifton's just get better and better, started with the Clifton 6's now onto the 8's!!!

Bought these as a running shoe but use them mostly for casual wear and walking after running in other Hoka shoes such as Rincon 3, Rocket X, Mach 4 etc Top 3 shoes for running and walking for me. Rincon 3 best for tempo speed running, Rocket X for racing, Clifton 8 for easy recovery runs and Bondi 7 when feet are in severe pain. Clifton 8 are soft, light, and comfortable. They're also versatile enough to run in or just wear casually.

This shoe is amazing! Lightweight with plenty of cushioning. I have wide feet and have the wide version. Extremely comfortable. My third different model of Hoka. Love them all!

I usually wear a Men's 8. I know from past Hokas that with Hoka I wear a Men's 8-1/2. I've been managing plantar fasciitis for a couple of years, and although I'd normally wear Altras (neutral - zero rise, and wide) for running, the Hokas in a wide EE allow me the comfort for my feet / toes to spread AND (importantly for me) hold the hard orthotics in place. I wear the Hokas all day unless running, and keep buying them when old ones wear out :)
