I purchased Hoka with lot of expectations, this was my first purchase of Hoka brand. But my shoe size which I use for several years with other brands was not matching with Hoka. It was very tight. So I had to return it, also didn't get a replacement. Didn't expect this from Hoka. Very disappointed.

This is the first pair of Hokas that I didn't love ( I have 4 other pairs). They are stiff ,hurt my feet and don't have a pull on strap across the back.

Almost every shoe is made for small dudes with skinny feet. Even these supposed "extra wide" size are narrow.

Unfortunately it was uncomfortable I can feel the soles of the shoe pushing the bottom of my feet which caused discomfort I was really hoping that I found my go to running shoe my wife has a pair but it didn't work out maybe it was just that particular shoe just a lil disappointed Thanks

I am a fan of this brand and this is my 3th shoes. The first one is Bondi SR the second one is Bondi 7. This 3th shoes I feel like some this poking my heel all the time don't know it just this one or no but it hurt and annoying cos I wear it on my trip which is required a lot of walking. Hopefully the company can do something.

I bought Hokas 3 years ago and wore them almost daily putting in miles on them. We go to Disneyworld a lot and I walk a ton. They were the One One and I loved them. I purchased these and within a week the tread on the bottom already is falling off. Yeah I walked 45 miles but still they should hold up better than this. I have filed to return them and will try On Cloud and see if they are any better. I was a fan of Hoka but they aren't made like they used to be!

The shoe just seems too uncomfortable. The sole of the shoes rides too far up and curves inward and digs into the side of my foot. It has also result in a plantar fasciitis flare up. The insoles are paper thin and the shoe just has no support at together. I was expecting to love these shoes because all my co workers talked highly of them but I was just disappointed.

The shoes are too narrow and do not fit my size

I have flat feet and the huge arch support made these shoes unwearable for me. It's a good looking shoe, very light and fits well(Xtra wide 2E). Unfortunately for me it feels like I have a nail sticking through the sole into midfoot.

The shoes arrived used! Really dirty, really worn, gross! No response from Hoka or the sender address

This shoe has two pieces of fabric sewn into each shoe in the inside to hold the tongue tightly against your foot. Since I have to order Extra Wide sizes anyway, this makes the shoes impossible to get on. Thinking I could solve the problem by cutting them out on both sides, made the tongue not fit completely right either. So I ruined the shoes and now cannot send them back. I have purchased many Hoka Shoes over the years, and have NEVER seen this situation before. Not sure why they were made this way, but I never read anything about them being in there before ordering them. I would advise against purchasing unless you understand what I am referring.

Purchased these in February because I needed more cushioning and comfort from my shoes than what I was getting from my existing ones. They were comfortable out of the box and the extra cushioning helped alleviate some plantar fasciitis remnant pain. Wear them 3-4 days a week, to work and walking around, nothing punishing like running. They became my new favorite tennis shoes until 2 weeks ago when they were barely 2 months old, the right shoe started squeeking when I walk. At first it was intermittent and was fairly faint. Over the last 2 weeks it's developed to the point where you can hear me coming from the other end of the hall, even though I'm walking on carpet. I've never been one who could just ignore an undesirable noise like this in my shoes and pretend like I don't hear it. I'm at the point now where I'm not sure I even want to wear them anymore because of this issue. Three weeks ago I would have rated them a 5, but not now as there all but unusable for me. At this price point and with the brand's reputation for putting out a quality product, the last thing I thought would happen is to only get 2 months worth of use out of them.

This shoe is size 13 has a "ridge" inside that is hard and created pain almost immediately. After standing in the new shoe for just a moment his foot already had an indentation. So disappointed because I have told him how great the HOKA shoe feels.

The front sole started detaching after about two weeks worth of use.

After a month of normal use and walking, no running, the sole separated from the shoe.

Sounded like I was walking on a sqeeking toy. All I did was waste money on shipping which you should have paid for defective shoes. Lesson learned!

Received these as a gift. First pair was too small and the exchange process was easy. 2nd pair was not comfortable and set them on the shelf. After a couple of month, tried to wear them again and acturally hurt my feet... and not too late to exchange.

I have an under pronation and I've bought many Clifton models in the past. The earlier versions of the Clifton helped me walk comfortably. Unfortunately, this is not the case with this pair. My feet fall out the sides. My knees, ankles, and low back begin to hurt within 10 minutes of walking in this pair of shoes. I must have made a mistake somewhere and bought the wrong shoe. I consulted with a Podiatrist and he recommended the Gaviota, which I purchased yesterday.

The sold ripped on the treadmill. Was not expecting that from shoes that are so pricey and built specifically for running.

I purchased a pair of Hoka Clifton 8's in the same size from REI about 2 years ago: M CLIFTON 8 1119393 RTAR Great shoes. I've run thousands of miles in them. I WORK AT NIKE WORLD HEADQUARTERS and while I don't wear them to work, I've openly said to colleagues that I use Hokas instead of Nike. I bought the pair I am reviewing here online. Same nominal model of shoe but different color scheme: M CLIFTON 8 1119393 BCBT Total trash. Far less cushion on the sole (the primary reason I liked Hoka previously). Toebox is more narrow. Fit on my size 11 is much smaller. Perhaps Hoka has sourced to a new manufacturing facility since my previous pair. Will not buy again.

First and probably the last time HOKA customer, Normally i don't write reviews. but when you spend $120+ on a shoe pair and are not satisfied after few weeks of wearing it, you probably get little frustrated, same case is with me. I ordered this pair on 01/26/2023, did not start wearing these till early march, first it felt like having pain in my feet, then got use to of it and suddenly now for few days it feel like heels are pressing on to something hard inside and it is getting little annoying now. my order number #NA15393667. hopefully someone from the company will contact me and offer .... writing this review on 04/20/2023

Tried on Clifton 9 in store and it was wonderful. Needed to decide on color so I came home to get help from daughters. While doing that noticed Clifton 8s on sale for $35 less so being frugal I bought them. When I received them I was totally disappointed!!! Totally different shoe!!! I returned them

I work on the floor, 8 hour shifts 5 days every 2 weeks, that is the only time I wear them. I don't beat them up, I don't run in them, but the right shoe has a tear where the upper meets the sole. They are comfortable I like the look but I can't recommend them because of the poor durability.
