Before I make purchases, I do as much research as I can. I do the buyers' reviews on the official websites, YouTube videos and try them on at stores. Because I have flat feet, I emailed Hoka to ensure the C8s accepts inserts to correct my flat feet. I was ready to abandon my usual ASics running shoes I've used for 30+ years to try the Hoka C8s. The good: Super light Like walking on pillows beaver tail is awesome Material is very comfy Superb customer service Easy return process Bad: Inserts did not fit well Right foot (only) forced my right foot to pronate Uneven wear on right shoe after 80 miles of running time Blistering on left heel I'm did an even exchange for the same shoe. I'm hoping this was a defect for this one pair of shoes. I've never had problems with my ASICS so I'm hoping the new pair will feel better and not increase my chances of injuries with further use.

Very comfortable shoe. However they started squeaking after a short time. Not sure if it's a defect.

These have been great as an all-day walking or running shoe. The only negative is they have a hot spot near the center of the tread. During prolonged walking on hot pavement or sidewalks, i guess the treads heat up and the friction on pavement/sidewalks make them squeak. It's terribly annoying.

For me the amount of cousin in the heel was unstable and gave me balance issues.

The Clifton 8 appeared very well made, light. The comfort level was unfortunately, not as comfortable or soft as I had expected. Returned item easily using the Hoka 30 day guarantee.

Shoe is too sloppy and spongy .was told to order wide in. Clifton not good Need to return when I return from Canada next week. I should stick to the Bondi which is terrific.

I bought these to use as a primary trainer. I run 30 miles per week. The arch support in the Clifton 8 bothered me. I wore them for 4-5 5 mile runs before determining I needed a different shoe. I now wear them as casual sneakers, and I love the look. I would absolutely recommend them as a casual shoe for daily wear. They just did not meet my running needs. I replaced them with the Arahi (also from Hoka). Those initially felt better and provided better support. However, after 4 weeks, they feel worn out and my legs are hurting after normal runs on asphalt or trails. I plan to switch back to Saucony Guides.

Top narrow in toe area. makes my big toes hurt and blackens nail and toe next to it. This is my 4th pair and only 1 fits well. 2 I can't wear. The double wide hits both the accelerator and brake at same time sometimes. The other doesn't have a lace holder.

Was really excited and they feel great but within the first week and a half the souls were scuffed up and already looked trashed.

I bought these as my daily trainers. I run 20-30 miles/week and I had to stop using them after just 2 runs because they squeezed my feet so tight it was giving me all sorts of foot problems. If it weren't for the narrow mid foot/toe box, I'm sure they'd be great daily trainers. They have great cushioning on throughout the shoe. Just too narrow for me.

I really like the shoe. I like the style, the comfort, color etc. However, there is one glaring negative that really brings my opinion of the shoe down. That one thing is that the "heel counter" or "heel tab" (that portion of the heel of the shoe that you may grab onto to insert your foot into the shoe) is rather hard and sticks out/protrudes. This, in turn, prevents the bottom of my jeans from overlapping or passing over, which then causes my jeans to bunch up about the shoe. I hate that. I want my jeans to overlap or cover this "heel tab".

I wore these shoes and got some dirt on them running. I wiped them off and even ran them through the washer but I still haven't been able to get them clean. Overall love for comfort and style but disappointed I can't get them clean. Also when I washed them a small hole appeared in the fabric near the toe box.

Whenever I run a distance more than 10 km, these shoes give me blisters. Clifton 7 were better in this regard.

This is the only shoe that I have ever tried in my mens size 7.5 that is too narrow. This shoe is very narrow. My foot actually stretched out the upper hungover the mid sole. Other than the sizing issue this is a fantastic shoe. I do intend to find the correct size for me in this shoe and purchase again.

These shoes have been wonderful for day to day use. I am on my feet 8 hours a day and they seem to provide some relief in the sense that I feel less tired at the end. However, for exercise it has not been an easy adjustment. I seem to have developed a lot of knee inflammation after my runs. I have tried them a little over a month now but am realizing they may not be the best for what I intended for them. All and in, do some more research if these are for exercise as they may not be the best fit. But if you want something for comfort in the everyday environment, you won't be disappointed.

Shoe is great, I've bought this style many times. I was skeptical that they were new since they had pet hair inside the shoes (I'm hoping just from try on), but they smelled new and sending them back seemed too kuch of a hassle.

After purchasing my first pair of Clifton 8s and loving them, I decided to buy another pair. Unfortunately, my second pair has an issue - the insole seems to be curled up such that it rubs against the inside of my arch with every step. This hasn't resolved itself after several weeks, so I'm hoping to tmake an exchange via Hoka's 30-day guarantee and that the new pair will be more like my first.

I wear a 12 regular in every shoe brand. If you order these make sure you order one size wider than normal.

The shoes look good, but I ordered a size 12.5 2W and got a size 12,2W. I noticed this past weekend, Memorial day weekend, when my next to the largest toe was bleeding from rubbing up against the shoe. I checked the shoes to confirm the size and found out hey were a US size 12. The past 2 pair of HOKAs I ordered were the correct size, but they wear very fast.
