The shoe fit well the left shoe had a bump on the inside arch of the foot and made that foot very uncomfortable. I returned my purchase. I hope not all the shoes are like that.

My left shoe fit comfortably! But weirdly my right shoe did not. I had to move the sole on the inside and had to move it around. I broke them in, but they're not fully comfortable as I thought for the price. I would return them, but I had already worn them and gotten them dirty within the week for work. Also I got lazy to process the return.

HOKA service excellent--shoe did not feel comfortable, heel so low thought would fall backwards. Overall structure appeared cheap! Maybe I got a poor pair as had seen many people wearing them and they seemed to be pleased. Still mulling as to whether or not to try another pair. Very impressed with HOKA return policy, very efficient and quick--winston

I can't tell you how many pairs of Cliftons I have gone through. The Clifton 8 is no longer working for me.
You have made the shoe wider and wider and the toe box bigger and bigger. The shoes are just too wide for me. This was not the case with all the previous editions of Clifton's.
Also, after cinching it up the best I can and starting out with it feeling decent, the shoe works itself looser and looser. I am not some dolt who doesn't know how to tie shoes or use a double knot. By the end of my run my feet are literally sliding around in my shoes. And no I can't go a half size shorter.
Have you thought about making the Clifton in a narrow width???
I would recommend this shoe to somebody who has a nice fat foot.

Can't really review them since I haven't try them yet. Waiting to go back to the Gym. Going back August 22.

Comfortable to wear, slightly hazardous to walk around in. The soft, cushiony feel quickly became a little too dangerous. They actually make keeping my balance worse. I have non-diabetic neuropathy and I have difficulty detecting surface changes with these shoes. So, they have become my once a week wear.

It's such a comfortable and good-looking shoe and I love how Hoka are challenging in a market place dominated by giants. However, my advice for beginner runners is to stay away. If you are a beginner, you are probably a heel-striker and running on these colorful cloud shoes covers up your form which will then come back to bite you (take it from experience). I still use these to walk but I can't run in these as it almost encourages heel-striking leading to knee issues. If you have already got your form sorted, buy them as they will be comfortable for your long-runs.

I have flat feet and wear D width normally, but the way the arch support is made on these, I returned them and got EE width. The wider shoe helps a little, but they still feel "squeezy" and uncomfortable even after many mikes of wear I have to lace them so loose that I have no support from the rest of the shoe.

I also have the Bondi 7 and have loved its comfort and support but wanted something that was not as "clunky" (my wife says they look like an orthopedic shoe) and was always causing me to trip. The Clifton 8 was recommended, and I really wanted to love it, but it does not come close to the support and cushion of my Bondi. Overall, it looks like a "pretty" but cheap shoe.

Look very good and are very soft. Negatives are they sound squishy and don't offer much in the way of stability. I would not recommend them to anyone with stability problems.

Unfortunately the sizing on all athletic shoes is all over the place. The 2E (W) was not wide enough for me, in this brand and style. Sadly I have worn outside a few times to realize, so I’m out $140!

I cannot say it loudly enough: I love that Hoka is making larger, wider sizes in vibrant colors.
I wore the shoes a few days at work before taking them with me on a trip. But I regretted that decision because as wide as they are, I still got painful blisters after walking throughout Manhattan.

Nice fit and look, but Hoka Clifton 8 cannot handle sweat. During a long run in hot South FL they start to squeak like crazy. None of my other shoes (other HOKAs, NB, Saucony, Nike...) do that.

Almost bought these and sales person talked me out of it thank goodness, I walked around the store with these on and trying to convince myself these were amazing, but that narrowness makes it uncomfortable on the sides of lower arch foot .

I have foot issues and this model hasn't been as good as my previous Hoka purchases. Need to go back to the last model. Just didn't like the colors offered.

I have been wearing Hokas for years and love them. But the last couple of pairs I've had have worn poorly, with the interior heel fabric breaking down after just a few months. I bought my current pair in mid March and 4 months later both interior heels have holes.

This shoes are great. I really do believe theses are the most comfortable pair of shoe period that I've ever had. Running daily is not what these shoes are build for. I run roads for 5-10 miles 5times a week, maybe more. My pair were done after just a few months. For the price the show last close to a year at least. I wanna say maybe 4 months before no more rubber and then a month later they were like half inch thick in some areas. Great shoe for comfort, but the durability isn't there at all.

This is a narrow shoe across the middle and heel. I bought the wide ee and they feel much better, but still snug across the mid section. I just had my feet measured at REI and they were a C/D width.
