Expected a more comfortable shoe. It's looks good but I don't think I would buy it again. Prefer the ultra boost over this. Overall 3 stars. Not bad but not great.

The sizing is fine but there isn't as much support as with some of the other models.

I like my Hokas, but the sole has worn out extremely fast. Indont have more than 100 miles on them.

I returned these. I like the style and cushioning, but the arch was way too high and the right shoe felt narrow. For the price, I expected more.

These are okay, just not wide enough.

Shoes were great! But the color was a little too bright compared to what I viewed online. I have never had an issue with colors being that different Compared to what I had bought in the past online.

I have had a pair of the Bondi 6 for over 2 years and really like them. I did not realize that the Clifton would be such a different fit and feel. I need more lateral stability than they offered. The attached tongue did not work for my foot. I have a higher instep and these were tight across the top. On the plus side they were very light and well made.

I had the Clifton 7s and absolutely loved them. The8s are not as comfortable and the feel a bit smaller, even though I ordered the some size. I still love the brand, but I will have to try a different model if I order again.

They are comfortable to walk on but don't see to be as wide as Asics 2E, so I have been getting some rubbing on the outside of my foot after using them for a bit. Not sure I would buy them again.

I purchased the Clifton 8 because I could not find anymore Clifton 7's to buy. The Clifton 8 is not as comfortable as the 7.

the back of the shoes worn out very quickly compared to any other shoes that I had previously bought. a doctor recommended me I wear this for foot pain, otherwise I wouldn't have bought it. I wish you guys would use stronger material for the interior of the shoes.

The shoes are very comfortable but the left shoe is alittle tight. Didn't know there was an internal 'sleeve'.

I ordered a half size bigger 12.5 to compensate for my wide foot but the shoe rubs the bone on the middle outside area of my foot until it a little painful. I already had a pair of Bondi 8s and have had no problem with them. I use the shoes to caddie (work) at the Augusta National.

Shoe was great, however for some reason the 4E wide option is not available in this model. I am a basketball official and I need all black shoes, and 4E wide to accommodate the thickness of my custom inserts. The Clifton does not offer that. If Hoka ever made a 4E wide Clifton I would buy this again.

Recommended by many people including my foot doctor. Purchased them after a long foot surgery with a long recovery. Foot doctor recommended that I wear the shoe. I Wasn't thrilled with the look of this shoe. It was more than enough cushion for me, my feet moved around too much in the sneaker.

I'm surprised that reviewers say these are wide running shoes. As a woman with wide feet that are accustomed to wearing minimalist/wide toe box shoes I knew that I needed to try the men's sizing (kudos to Hoka for offering smaller men's sizing!). I tried both the regular and wide widths and both were way too narrow in the toe box, so I would not recommend these to anyone who have transitioned out of conventional narrow shoes. The regular was much too narrow. The wide was better but the midsole is very hard and dug into my arches. I love how lightweight they were, though. For reference I usually wear a men's 7 regular in the Brooks Ghosts, and women's 8.5 in Topo Fli-Lyte.

Sorry, I've experienced more ankle pain than usual with the Clifton8, but I'm not sure why. My guess is that the sole is not very firm and arch support is not adequate for what I need. Another possibility is that I increased my number of daily steps and strained some ligaments. I have consulted with my doctor to see if I need an orthotic device to help reduce pain after walking. When just walking around the house, they are comfortable; it's longer walks that seem to be the issue.

Thick tongue was too hot and reduced the volume inside the shoe. Was tight on my wide feet and induced pain.

Good shoe, just have to purchase baby powder at the same time apparently. When any moisture gets between the shoe and the insole... good luck. It squeaks with EVERY step. Very obnoxious walking down quiet hallways. I spoke to customer service and they suggested either sending it back or put in some baby powder to remove any moisture. I asked about any other insoles and they only have the ones that come with the shoe. maybe they should start adding a small thing of the powder with every shoe. I've tried a shoe dryer but it didn't seem to fully remove the squeak, so I will try the powder suggestion next.

The first time I put it on, I thought "Great!! It feels snug and comfortable!!" I took it out for a quick 3.2km run and it was fine. I took it walking door to door for 17K steps and I got blister from it, so not sure if this would be good for a marathon as that is what I had intended to do with it. It is comfortable when you put it on and I felt like I can run with springs on but now not so sure.

I normally use the Bondi in a regular width, the regular width on this shoe is very narrow.

Bought identical shoe and color. The last ones (about a year old) were amazingly comfortable. These shoes don't feel the same - padding seems firmer and they hurt in the metatarsal area after 20 min. A disappointment.

Shoe is horribly uncomfortable for flat feet. The hard arch support does not have any give. After a month of wearing the shoe when from hurting my arch to forcing standing pressure to the outside of the heel cup. I primarily use this shoe for standing and walking 8-12 hours per day.
